We rescheduled for the next day, and I received a confirmation text--apparently from his scheduling software, since the warranty company had no record of the change in time or date. It was the same text I had received two days prior, from the same number to which he (the owner) stated wasn't him. At the rescheduled appointment, the technician arrived and stated the issue was electrical. I specifically asked if he saw any signs of water, condensation, or burning, anything else that could have caused the electrical issue, and he assured me everything looked fine. However, when the electrician arrived, he immediately identified visible physical issues with the A/C unit, including water, that likely contributed to the electrical problem. Trying to give the vendor the benefit of the doubt, I called to request a recheck since we clearly still had an underlying A/C issue. He offered to reschedule for the following week (so a whole week without A/C in Orlando when it's 90+ degrees). In addition to the lack of thoroughness, the company does not answer calls or return messages promptly--if at all. When they do show up, the work is minimal or incomplete. Bottom line: I strongly recommend finding another service provider.

He also suggested the Freon level was low but since I did not see issues with my AC before this water clog issue, I declined that as well. However, he still went ahead and tried to do something on the condenser (which was not required) and that led to an accidental Freon leak. I do understand that accidents happen but he had no purpose doing what he was trying to do. Now I see AC running slow and is not able to catch up to the set temperature. I will have to call another technician now to get Freon level checked and refill accordingly and spend hundreds on it. 3. Few days later, the issue with the Float switch came back. I called them back to see if they can help fix it since this is what the technician tried to fix few days before and was unsuccessful. The lady was very rude and said she cannot send anyone for another 4 days and that I declined other things that the technician wanted me to do. However, they have no relation to the water clogging issue which should have been a simple fix and the technician could not fix it properly because he was more interested in trying to sell me other things with it. They have lost my business forever.

On 4.21.26 a coil failed on my 4 ton (est.) Goodman AC. Joe presented a tiered verbal quote for a coil replacement from his tablet. This ranged from $10K to $4K. The bill as provided was: HL5A - BAND-AID - Heat Transfer Media Coil System Rejuvenation. Job #201994583. Total cost: $4195. This came with a 30 day warranty. No part number referenced. On 8.10.26 the other AC unit stopped working. This is a 3.5 ton (est) Carrier unit Joe installed almost 10 years ago. This was job# 201994682. This was still under a full manufacturer parts warranty. Joe charged $129.95 for the visit and $600 to isolate the leak. Joe offered to waive these charges if I authorized the repair immediately. The verbal tiered quote was offered to us again this time starting at $11900 for the top tier repair with a bottom quote of $5500 (band aid). There was no reference that there would be no charge for the hardware and this was only for labor and refrigerant given the warranty. The quotes from top tier to bottom tier appeared to be out of line. Because I declined to agree immediately, the $729 charge was billed. I brought in an independent HVAC technician for an opinion. He confirmed the issue and charged $1550 for labor and refrigerant and replaced the coil. I've cancelled my warranty plan and will not use this company again.

Similar to what my friend now faces (and over at least 12 years ago), we had then look at an issue others not only failed to fix, but their "fix" caused water damage. Blair sent Jason, who I think is their top guy. He fixed it quickly and it stayed fixed. Since then they have been our go to for repairs and annual service. When they come for repairs and I ask what we owe them, they say let's wait a few days to be sure it's fixed, and then we'll send you a bill. That shows they care more about quality and relationships than revenue! After we moved into a neighborhood with a particularly picky HOA, they even helped us explain the necessity of a repair needed to get HOA approval, and they put a temporary work around in place while we waited for approval. That was super helpful as we had a newborn at that time. Raving to my friend made me feel badly that in all these years I never left them a review. While now I have.

Doing some simple troubleshooting didn't work, so we hunkered down during the night and called Blair first thing (they open at 7am, bless them). I spoke with Jay - super friendly guy - and told him the issue - my Nest was giving me a "no power source" error. Jay, without skipping a beat, began to give me a few additional troubleshooting tips to see if my AC would turn on again. One of them was draining out the water in the drip pipe, which was indeed full. He told me that may be the issue, as the AC unit would automatically shut off to prevent water damage, and to drain it and see if it turns on. In the end, that didn't work, but the fact he was so friendly and wanted to assist rather than send a tech right away to take my money, opened the doors of trust which is so hard to find in these homeowner to trade business relationships. I had to call back a few hours later when the above didn't work - Blair's sent out two guys by the end of the day, and after about an hour of troubleshooting/maintenance, determined a fuse had blown. It was $95 for the service call (reasonable if the majority of it is labor), and $55 for the part. Of course, a fuse is cheap AF (couple of bucks), but they also: 1) Rewired my nest. They suspected poor wiring done by yours truly (because I am definitely not an electrician but an self-proclaimed DIYer) might have caused the fuse to blow with wires touching. Opps fire hazard. So yeah, they cleaned it up and rewired everything. 2) Drained out the water fully in the AC unit. They had a dry vac, while I only had a hose carpet cleaner (not as effective in clearing all the water out). 3) Cleaned out my washable filter. Yeah, I should do that more often, but it was nice that they did it for me. Essentially, they did a maintenance, some electrical work, and also fixed the fuse. So all in for $150? That's a steal IMO, especially since they invoice you and didn't expect me to pay right away, giving me a float time of 30 days - really helpful for people tight on finances. Looking at the work and service they provided, including an hour of their time, I'm so happy I called Blair's rather than the default commercial company that was posted on my AC unit. When they first were called to come look at our unit, about a month ago, we didn't hear from them for weeks after the maintenance request was submitted. It turns out that they had called, but didn't leave a voicemail for me or my roommate. I get a ton of spam calls, and as is very normal for a lot of people, I don't often answer numbers I don't know. But what business owner doesn't leave a voicemail? Extremely unprofessional. So one of the guys was scheduled to come out. This went fine - he came when scheduled, thought there was a leak in our refrigerant, and put some kind of colored gas in it so he could see. He said he needed to come back a few days later to check on it. We set a day. That day comes, I've heard nothing from them about a time or even if they're coming. I reach out, on the day he's supposed to come - "no, today won't work - we'll try this day." He does come that day, but can't find the leak. So he literally does nothing to fix it. He says (not verbatim, but essentially) "I can't find the leak - just have us come back out in a month when you run out of refrigerant." Seriously? Why would you just not fix the issue? So fast forward to today: our AC went out 2 days ago. It was Friday evening. Allan, the owner (who I've been talking with these past two days) couldn't come that evening, which is understandable. He said possibly Saturday, but that didn't work out - I'm still understanding. So he sets an appointment for 9am this morning, Sunday. 9am rolls around... no one shows up. It's now 11:30am.
