The concept is quite similar to Yard Bar, right down to the mulch. The bar offers canned beer, wine, cider, sodas, and water. The restrooms are porta-potties, but the one I used was clean. The park features many large trees and plenty of shade. Three Rufferees were present at all times, and I thought the use of walkie-talkies was a nice touch. The front desk informs the Rufferees of the dogs' names, which is quite cute. I do wish the bar provided water for humans; instead, you have to purchase a can of Liquid Death. There was ample parking available. Overall, it was a decent experience, and we plan to return when we have more time to make the drive.

The Cosmic Saltillo location is our go-to because it's walking distance from our home. This original location is amazing. Love the both so much. I like that there are food truck onsite, lots and lots of outdoor seating, koi pond, chickens, certified green spaces, and so much more. It's like being at the greatest campground ever. The interior is spacious. The entire place is welcoming and friendly. Super service. Super cocktails. Super coffee. Super other drinks. You see where I'm going, right? I love it here!

A week or so ago, some friends and I went to check out a few bands at Sagebrush on a Sunday…read moreevening. The night of the full blue moon! The main band we wanted to see was Superfonicos which didn't start until after 10 pm! We got there around 8 pm so got to hear a couple other nice bands. We had to ask around for the lineup as the tickets we purchased didn't make it clear the order of the bands. We had fun but wish more people had shown up to support them! I've been to Sagebrush a few times and like that they have a nice big dance floor. It's easy to order drinks at the bar and we each had a few that night. I'm sure I'll be back here again for dancing or another band!

Plenty of seating on the sides. We visited to take the Double Or Nothing Company's two step class on a Saturday at 7 and we had a good time! The instructors started from the basics and gave detailed instructions. We were able to stick around and practice if we wanted. The cover for the class was $15 but I think it's cheaper if you go at other times.

The sourdough pizza was really good--almost like a focaccia/Detroit-style hybrid, but with the sauce layered on the bottom. Super flavorful, crispy edges, soft inside... honestly just hit. Also--my husband was way too excited (in the best way) to see boiled peanuts on the menu, so of course we had to start there. Great call. We'll definitely be back.

Pinthouse Brewing was a brewery Steve and I went to while on our vacation to Austin a few months…read moreago. The building is quite large and inside is cool as the seating is quite spacious and a large number of people can enjoy food and drink at once. Definitely not a tiny, small placed brewery...but it's true... everything is bigger in Texas! When we were at Pinthouse I spotted a Mexican Lager which is a type of lager I love and especially in warm weather... a perfect summer beer for me! The name of the beer was Burro's Breakfast. In the flavor profile of this beer you will find a naturally sweet corn flavor, some maltiness along with a tart and dry finish. The beer is light bodied like most lagers of this type and smooth in body. In addition to having a beer we also decided to get some lunch. So we got a chicken sandwich a piece along with coleslaw and had a very nice lunch. Coming to Pinthouse Brewing proved to be a good stop as we made a pretty extensive tour of the breweries in Austin.
