I ordered the Lynn and the French Quarter and a few notes: 1. They actually followed my notes on syrup reduction yay and 2 the flavors were unique and came through! Will absolutely be getting this again. Plus you can add all sorts of fun cold foams on top of ur iced coffee. Food - I got the vegan tacos l, the corn tortillas are fresh, the tacos have flavor, and not skimpy either. Absolutely amazing coffee! We love coming here as a family, and sometimes just for a pick me Up mom coffee lol, the area is quite small but every time we have gone we never have any issues with sharing space ! :) I hope one day they get to pick a bigger area & that they can get an app for you to scan for points! (They have cards to stamp but if your anything like me, it gets lost before your even in the car! lol) other then those to small tweaks this has to be the most amazing coffee I've ever had! Later Gater Coffee (love the name) is located on S. Congress in "The Lawn" food truck park...not too far from St. Edward's University. Love food trucks...it was a most delightful coffee find. The food truck manager provided different combinations of Matcha lattes made with (Oat, Whole or Coconut Milk) topped with Black Cherry cold foam. My latte of choice was with coconut milk. Wow...the combination of flavors had your mouth rejoicing. I found the latte so enjoyable to drink. The food truck manager was extremely prepared and incredibly personable. The food truck was quite eye-catching in vivid purple with their lattes even more memorable. Overall, Later Gator customers exuded a very chill vibe... Whenever I am in the area, I will definitely be trying more of their latte offerings. read more

Later Gator is tucked away on South congress at "the Lawn" and is now one of my favorite matcha spots, what a lovely hidden gem! I had the pleasure of trying their matcha w/ oat milk and black berry cold foam today! The cold foam really elevated the matcha! It was phenomenal! The service was very friendly and welcoming! I ordered one of their summer specials--the Meringue Gator ($7) with oat milk (+$0.75). It's a coconut and white chocolate matcha topped with meringue cold foam and toasted coconut flakes. I expected it to be super sweet and heavy, but it was actually perfectly balanced. All the flavors blended beautifully, making it feel like a refreshing treat rather than a dessert overload. I'm definitely coming back to try more of their drinks! read more

What a cute little coffee (and more importantly, matcha!) truck Head on over to Drinks Backyard to find this gem. Their lot is small in the front, but plenty of parking in the rear of the building. Walking up, you are greeted by some little gator plushies, and even at the window there are some fun little gator Easter eggs to see. Barista was super nice and recommended a type of milk for me that would go best with the drink I ordered (The Gator). Matcha seemed good quality and WOW the cold foam was so delicious. Also got to try the beignets which here are a little bit like donuts with powdered sugar on top. They also have other toppings for them, which I'd love to try next time. They came out PIPING hot & were delicious even after I drove them home (~20 min post-fry). Finally please note they have a punch card reward system, which is valid at both locations - they just opened on S Congress too. Will be back for more of their fun drinks. read more

I've heard about this place by my cousins b/c they have gone a handful of times and this was my first. They had the Valentine's Menu already out and I got the Velvet Armadillo which was a red velvet cake latte that I got with soy milk, cream cheese cold foam and red velvet crumble. I enjoyed the drink even though plot twist I am not a big red velvet fan. I had never had a beignet, so we got the 3ct one not the valentine one. I will say it was hot and fresh and great. From what I read online Later Gator has Louisiana roots so basically you can say this was the closest I will get to one til I make it to Louisiana. Later Gator Coffee is such a gem! The coffee and tea are both excellent -- you can really tell they put care into every drink. I'm also a huge fan of their beignets -- absolutely delicious! I love that the whole place is Louisiana-themed; the vibes are so fun, welcoming, and unique. The staff is incredibly friendly and makes you feel right at home. I also love that they have games and books you can enjoy while you hang out at the picnic tables outside. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy good company. Parking can be a little tight up front, but there's plenty of parking available in the back, so it's never an issue. Highly recommend checking them out -- you'll be glad you did! read more

Came across this trailer almost by accident back in August (so a little delayed on my review by a few months), but very happy that I did. The breakfast tacos were wonderful, but it was the beignets that were out of this world. So soft & pillowy; I could have eaten 20! I went just for the original ones with powdered sugar and I'm obsessed. I'm not a tea drinker but I tried one of the drinks that had lemonade, juice & green tea which was delicious and I would certainly get again.
