I can't go based on any work because he did nothing…read more I went in for a consultation, it was such a weird vibe. It was quiet (no music) and no customers. Three employees were sitting down chatting away while I waited for my appt. I went because i wanted to cut my hair into a long bob but my consultation specialist looked at my hair and said my hair was fried. There was nothing he could do, I was so confused. I said, I'm not here to dye my hair. I'm here for a haircut. He said, I know. You need keratin and once your hair gets healthy I could try. Out of curiosity I asked, if I get my hair back to "healthy " again. I asked who he would recommend and he said nobody here. I was shocked and to be honest, I was so over the consultation that I awkwardly laughed and promised him I'd be back. He could honestly care less. I wasn't too irritated because it smelled like hard boiled eggs or broccoli in there. Not to mention, The older woman at the front desk was hella grumpy as well. I figured, if I'm going to spend $3-400 somewhere... I'd rather not spend it there thank you Looking at there reviews.. maybe they just don't serve latinas. Idk. ‍

I came in kinda looking like a drowned rat. Meaning, my hair was wet dark and limp. My hair had been growing out for too long without a trim. TN was focused, amicable, and attentive. He kept my layers, which a lot of places could mess up. He started to do face framing bangs and I was like No! I like to keep the front long. He did some anyway, where I needed it, and followed direction to stop when I said No. And it turned into these cute wings around my face. While there, I kept twisting it, trying to get it to do its usual flounce, but it wouldn't go. I'm from California. He said he was, too. I think the Arizona dry air was making my hair dull. He told me to style it, like with product. I don't know what I'm doing. I brought my Kerastase Gloss Absolute products, bc I'd followed the Sephora sample directions. We didn't shampoo, so maybe I should try that next time. But idk, the shampoo area was kinda dirty. The place could be cleaner. Meanwhile, I just kept trying putting oil on it to make my hair move. I left feeling satisfied. Then later- wow- it's a really great haircut. Except now, with this haircut, I don't have to do anything to my hair. It just comes out nice. Everything lays perfectly. It's sexy hair. TN styled it right. I'd say for anyone in Arizona to YouTube what to do with your hair in the desert. As soon as my hair hit some humidity it looked gorgeous with this cut. Think twice before you go to this place! I honestly have…read morenever had an experience like this with a haircut, and I'm still incredibly frustrated and upset about it. I showed exactly what I wanted simple face framing and long layers but my hair was cut so unevenly that the layers didn't blend at all. There were random short pieces, completely different lengths, and the back was uneven and had no shape. It genuinely looked like a 5 year old had cut my hair, not a certified professional. Almost everyone who has seen my hair since has asked me the same thing: how could this possibly happen at a professional salon? Yes, I received a full refund, and I appreciate that. But I then had to go somewhere else to try to fix the damage. The second stylist had to take off even more hair, so I lost both the length AND the density of my hair just to make it look somewhat normal again. And even now, there is only so much that can be fixed. I have to wait for it to grow out. What frustrated me even more was how the situation was handled afterward. I asked the manager for their number because I genuinely wanted someone to explain to me HOW this happened. She never responded. I got my money back, but I felt absolutely no real empathy or understanding of what I was dealing with just scripted comments like I would be sad like you too and "Everybody loves this hairstylist. That completely misses the point. This is MY hair. I can't undo what was done. Giving me my money back doesn't give me back the length and density I lost or change how awful I feel every time I look at my hair. I wasn't looking for drama or anything extra from them. I just wanted someone to actually acknowledge how badly this went, take it seriously, and explain how something like this could happen with a professional stylist. I never got that.

She texted him personally to make a Saturday afternoon appointment for me and sent pictures of the wolf-cut I desired. I arrived on time for my 2pm appointment and was greeted by Thanh and seated immediately. I showed him the pictures again. Then he asked me if I wanted to shampoo my hair, which I agreed to. Then we got straight to work. At the end of my cut, he made sure I liked the result, to which I asked for my bangs a bit shorted and he readily obliged. I paid $45 (excluding an additional tip) in cash, but I didn't inquire further if they also accept card or if there's an additional fee for paying by card. I looked around the salon for a menu of costs of services, which he said there wasn't one. No problem, I plan on coming back for haircuts only anyway which I know are $45! Otherwise, I'll text him personally asking for other services if I want them! All in all, I was in and out the door at 2:00 and 2:30 respectively, literally (I looked at the clock). I would rather go a salon that actually cares about their customer service and attention to detail at a higher cost - you're getting what you pay for, if not less. Firstly, my stylist was on her phone for a full 4 minutes in the middle of my 18-minute (fast? or rushed?) haircut without explanation; I would be more understanding if I were given a heads up about a personal emergency or something, but to simply step away from your client and text nonstop at the front desk without saying anything, is unacceptable. Secondly, I've never been to a salon where my hair was not washed prior to it being cut; until I came here. My hair was not even styled at the end (see photo of when I got home right after my appointment). Thirdly, it's the bare minimum to ask your customer if they like their haircut, or smile at the end. When I was paying at the front desk kiosk, my stylist went straight back to texting with the click clack of her fake nails on the phone screen. I stood at the desk for a good minute or so after payment was completed before she looked up, and quickly said "bye thank you". There were no other customers in the store except for the nail artist and her client in the shared salon space. I would NOT recommend this salon to any of my friends and advise you to get your haircut elsewhere if you care about professional service and a good haircut.

Brittany has been doing my hair for several of years. Always gives the best advice on hair even if you have no clue what to do with it when you arrive. She keeps up to date on the new techniques and products. My hair is always so beautiful after going to her. I get plenty of compliments from others after I go to her. I went to get my hair done yesterday with Alba and she did an amazing job. It was my first time here and came because of the yelp reviews and it didn't disappoint. Peggy did my hair for 11 years. She does great work. Even when I would want to go from light to dark, dark to light. It always looked amazing. That's because this salon is serious about their commitment to the most natural professional hair care products out there. I've been to another "organic" salon in Phoenix, and I was disappointed to find that the products they used were not very different at all from conventional salon products. When I came to Abloom, I instantly knew that I'd found MY PEOPLE. They do special treatments using coconut oil & essential oils, and you can buy all-natural sugar scrubs, deodorant and perfume. They even use natural soap in the bathroom, and make many efforts to be "green". Alex has taught me ways to style my hair with very little product, and no heat! To me, this is the kind of stuff a true organic salon should be doing. These are the kinds of things that are important to my values & ethics, and I love that I've found a place that respects those same things. As far as my actual hair, I've only gotten cuts & styles here, and they've done a beautiful job every time. I always leave very happy. I haven't had my hair colored in years, but whenever I see the gorgeous color they do on other clients, I entertain the idea. So many 5* reviews because this place rocks!…read more I have gone to several upscale salons around Camelback and Biltmore, and they never get the blonde right. It's always too orange, yellow or blue. Don't they know what blonde means?! Sheesh, I mean that is their business to know! I've even brought photos on my phone to show them what I wanted. They don't listen. They overcomplicate the whole process. They layer all kinds of products and services. They say they cannot achieve the blonde you want without using a toner/glaze. They say they cannot lighten your hair enough with just bleach. They say that would damage your hair. Then they put you under a hot dryer, use super hot water to shampoo/rinse you, and blow dry your hair with superheated air -- which actually damages years of hair growth. Then they offer you a deep conditioning treatment. They are purposely causing damage so they can charge for a hair cut to cut off the damage. They use several steps and products which take 3-4 hours and charge you $300-$500 for all their time and "effort" when all you needed was some bleach without even going under a dryer, some purple shampoo in the bowl, a quick blow dry (ON MEDIUM HEAT) and you're outta there. SECTION HAIR STUDIO IS HONEST. HOW REFRESHING! Kristy LISTENS. Kristy knows what BLONDE means. Kristy keeps things SIMPLE. Kristy doesn't DAMAGE your hair. Kristy won't kill your BUDGET.
