He talked with my son and I like we had known him for years. He explained the reasoning behind the offer he gave me, specifically why gold prices have increased and the ins and outs on resale value for gemstones and other items. Beware of Rhodium Plating Upsells…read more Be very cautious--sales reps may strongly encourage you to plate your white gold jewelry with rhodium. This is essentially a temporary coating over an expensive metal, and in my experience, it wore off in just six months. Once it started wearing off, it exposed scratches that I never had in 18 years of wearing my wedding band. Now I feel stuck--there's no quick way to remove the plating entirely, so I'm forced to keep going back for buffing just to speed up the process of getting rid of it. Worse, the rhodium made my ring look like cheap costume jewelry--almost like aluminum foil--completely stripping away the natural, elegant look of white gold. Yes, white gold has a slightly warm undertone, and that's normal. I wish I had trusted that instead of being persuaded otherwise. I genuinely regret agreeing to this. It changed the appearance of a meaningful piece of family jewelry, and now I'm just waiting years for the coating to fully wear off. Be careful and don't let yourself be pressured into add-ons like this. It may sound like an "upgrade," but in reality, it can do more harm than good.

And if you pay 300$ for a new diamond it's only under warranty for a year. Insane a "luxury " jewelry brand doesn't have the option to buy a warranty and doesn't ensure their jewelry with warranty.
