Blue lagoon
Joannie B.

Cute neighborhood bar with a backyard. The bartender Lena, I believe, is quiet, but she's cool. There's plenty of space to throw a get-together as they were when I walked in. The drinks are good; I had the blue lagoon, the Tokyo tea, and a rum punch. My bf had the jungle bird, which was also good. There's a happy hour from 5-7 and $1 wings all night. I ordered the garlic parmesean and the sweet teriyaki wings. The wings were overdone and fried too hard. The garlic parmasean needed to be tossed in more garlic mixed in butter for the taste. There was a live singer and we thought he was there every Thursday but it turns out he was there for the party; he was good and we enjoyed the vibe. Mondays and Fridays are karaoke, and Sundays is Jazz night, we were told by Lena. They played good music after the live singer left. I will definitely go back now that i have somewhere i can hang near by. And I look forward to Jazz night on Sunday.

A fried of mine brought me to this spot and I'm not disappointed. We came late last night which is Monday. They had a good crowd. The music was on point, the patrons kind and the vibe addicting. Idk if they do karaoke every night or just Mondays. But some brave locals were crooning out tunes from all different generes of music. We sat at the bar. The place is a good size and was very clean. You can see straight into the kitchen area. Two men were working quickly and diligently. I was instantly excited as I was a little hungry and greatly appreciate a late night kitchen. A bartender handed us menus and busied herself making drinks for fellow guest. When she came back around, I told her I wanted a flavored margarita that taste good. They had a few flavors but I didn't want anything medicinal or with a weird aftertaste. She suggested passion fruit. I agreed. It was well balanced, strong and tasted authentically like passionfruit, sweet but tangy. The glass was filled to the brim and I spilled a little trying to move it. My friend got the blue lagoon. I tasted it. It's best described as a tropical vacation in a glass. Coconut rum, pineapple juice, blue curaçao and I forgot what else. For food we spilt the lemon pepper wings and jerk shrimp. Both came with 6 a pieces. The wings were $12.49 and the shrimp $12.99. The wings were great. We asked for the crispy and they obliged. The lemon pepper flavor was tasty without being too salty. The jerk shrimp however was a little salty on its own. The scotch bonnet dipping sauce was amazing. It was spicy but flavorful. The leave the tails on, which provides more great flavor. Our bill was $58 and change for the two drinks and two appetizers. Eh a tad bit pricey for what you get. I didn't like that I was charged $15.99 for the margarita and it said Casamigos on the receipt. I wasn't asked if I would like a specific tequila nor do I like casamigos. I would've gotten patron or don julio. Solid spot. I'll definitely be back.

Forgot the. Ame but it was good

Pretty good place. I finally decided to stop by with my coworker for some drinks and convo. I am a big fan of blue colored drinks, lol. Had some parmesean wings, and they were really good. There is a Dj on deck, and the bathrooms were decent. The crowd is much younger, but other than that, this is a good little neighborhood spot when you are in the area.

Amazing new gem in Canarsie!! Take my word for it, this is the New Hot Spot!!! Sylk Cove FINALLY opened and I am living for it. Very classy indoor space with bar seating as well as 2 tops and 4 tops for groups. There's also an outdoor space. When we checked this place out early on a Saturday evening in July they were kinda empty but it was all good. The drinks are TIGHT. (I favor the Rum Punch) The music is slamming (Caribbean beats). The service is on point (thanks Felicia) and the food is delicious(thank you Mark) Everything on the menu is finger licking good! Come on out and support this business people! We shouldn't have to drive to another neighborhood for a cool bar/lounge.

Fabulous Gem on Rockaway!! I've been waiting for this spot to open and it did not disappoint! Just down the block from the L train, the Sylk Cove Lounge is AMAZING!! The food is tasty and fresh with great selections. The drinks are well made and affordable. There's indoor and outdoor seating and the vibe is just right with great music and IMPECCABLE service!! Felicia is the best: friendly, helpful and a first class bartender. Check this place out ASAP. You will not be disappointed!

Sylk Cove Cocktail Lounge !!! So grateful to have a nice, calm lounge with a full bar in Canarsie. Aesthetics & Vibes: It has a nice grown and sexy vibe with outdoor and indoor seating. Good music mainly R & B, smooth jams. As soon as you enter you are greeted which is a super plus either by the owner Mark Kerr or the manager Antoinette. They both are very hospitable and friendly Food & Drinks: We grabbed the rum punch and chicken wings which were a hit, we loved the rum punch so much we got two to go. By the way for happy hour they are only 5$ you can't beat that I've personally had one event at the venue and had an amazing time with family and friends. Again Mark was very helpful and hospitable felt like family. I've been to one birthday party and have another event coming up for my baby's dedication. This spot has definitely turned into me and my family's go to spot for events. Best of Blessings for the owner and staff

They prepared a table as we waited with a round and a rectangle put together. It was very uncomfortable. The round table had a metal bend in the middle making the wine glasses tip. The service was very good despite their limited English! The food was not great. The calamari were hard. The octopus was a tiny piece in plate with chickpeas and olives. They brought an appetizer plate with mozzarella in carozza which was not good and fried triangle shaped overcooked capellini. It must be their specialty. I didn't care for any of the appetizer items. I passed on ordering a dinner plate after trying the apps. I tried some spinach with garlic and that was excellent. The most disturbing part of the evening was the check. They bring it with a couple of things scribbled and not legible on it and the total. They have always included their tip with parties! My friend paid and assuming the tip was included and she is very generous she added another $100. She completed the check at the counter. Everything seemed fine. After some time back at her seat and not immediately the server came back to the seat and in front of the whole table he embarrassed her and came to ask her for more money saying they didn't get enough tip money. He said They need money to pay the staff! They usually add the tip but this time they didn't! Looking at the receipt which was not itemized at all, she had no idea what she paid for. Only a very expensive dinner. I feel like she got scammed with the entire experience as she was an elderly person trying to do something special for her anniversary. You never forget how someone makes you feel. No one in this party will be back.

Delicious food, pretty decor, great service, on site owners who we spoke to for a while, and are really nice people. Caesar salads were excellent, the grilled calamari was a large portion of very tasty food, and everyone was very happy with their main courses: Veal Parmesan, grilled pork chops, Bronzino, chicken scarapiello. They also do a very nice "happy birthday" Again, very grateful to the person who recommended we go here and looking forward to coming back again in the future.

The inside is an absolute vibe, with a DJ playing, great music, interesting decor, and a variety of seating options. The bar is in the main room and is it pretty large size, with TVs in case you want to watch sports. I saw there was a back area too, but I did not go there. I started off with a cognac cocktail that came with a stick of cinnamon and was absolute perfection. It took everything in me not to order another. My friends, and I then decided to eat family style and these were our thoughts! Oxtail wontons: perfection and everyone's favorite. The wonton was so delicate yet crispy, it beats the majority of wonton shells I've had. The oxtail was tender and delicious. Avocado Saltfish Tostones: Really great flavor and not too heavy. I loved the spicy kick that these have. They're more saltfish than avocado. Loaded Jerk Fries: A hit! I was a huge fan of the chicken on these, even though I'm not usually someone that loves chicken. The sauce was great too. Soca Pasta: this was a really unique take on pasta as the creamy sauce was coconut based and also had a tiny bit of cake as well. We really enjoyed this and the perfectly sautéed bell peppers inside. I wasn't a big fan of the chicken, I was the protein on this and wished that we had gotten the shrimp, but the next time I'm here I'm definitely going to order these hot steppa shrimp anyways. The staff is so nice here and we were really attended to. I hear they open up the back when it's warmer in the summer and it really becomes a party and that they also have karaoke happy hours on Wednesday nights. Excited to bring more friends here as it warms up!!

They made the planning process very easy and smooth. They communicated effectively and listened to all of my inquiries. Most importantly, they were patient and worked with us through all the changes we made. Now, let's talk about the food...it was immaculate! We chose family-style service, and they made sure we never had to wait for our meals. The moment we finished one course, they promptly brought out the next. They definitely made my night special. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you for such great service, and a special thanks to Shanice and the entire staff!

From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was inviting, and the outdoor patio made the experience even better. It's the perfect place to unwind with friends, celebrate, or enjoy a date night. The live DJ kept the energy going, creating the perfect balance of a laid-back brunch and a fun day out. Whether you're stopping by for Sunday brunch, dinner, or just drinks on the patio, Lé Chai delivers a great overall experience. I'll definitely be back to try more from the menu.
