Wes and Tom are the real deal. We had an older pop up trailer that was dropped and sustained significant damage to the storage box area. They were more than happy to take on the project after talking to so many other shops that were hesitant. I didn't know what I was exactly looking for them to do but they more than exceeded our expectations. Had the trailer for just about a month as we had no time constraints needing it sooner and the build was reasonable for the amount of hard work they put into it. Tom and Wes are type of guys that are hard to find. I own a food truck and catering business. My axles broke while my employees were towing. I called a friend in the food truck industry (Outlaw Cuisine) and he referred me to Sylvan Trailers. I called the very next morning, an hour before they opened and Tom answered. He assured me if I got him the trailer he would do his best to get us back in business since he used to have a coffee trailer. I located a towing service to get the trailer lifted on a flat bed and delivered to Sylvan Trailers within 2 hours. I met with Wes and he walked through the entire trailer with me. Wes expressed his concerns and suggestions. What he would do and what he would not do. He pointed out what was incorrect and a liability from the original builder. They upgraded both axles to 6,000 lb axles. All new shackles, bearings. Hubs. ubolts. Rims and lifted the trailer up higher. He even Rewired my trailer brakes and added wiring to the second axles which originally was not wired by the original builder 5 years ago. He was able to use my same tires which were brand new purchased weeks ago. AND he fixed my broken jack that the towing company compromised during the tow. They had me back up and running within 24 hours. They worked late into the night and had everything ready to replace the next morning when parts started to arrive. If you own a business you know that when you are in desperation most people take advantage of you. These guys did not. They told me "we rebuilt this thing like it was ours". They were fair and encouraging. I was almost in tears with how well it looked and how much it meant to have them take my situation into consideration and possibly canceling booked events. They didn't price gouge me and even did extra work at no cost so I didn't have to see them again. I owe these guys. The reason small business can never be beat: I was having an issue with my trailer brake system in my truck called them up and said bring it by we'll fix it. A few tests and boom fixed in 5 minutes free of charge. Any repairs I need for my RV will only be done here now on. Can't recommend enough, it was a simple fix I was just overlooking and I was prepared to throw $200 of parts at it, which wouldn't have fix it. Very honest advice! I came in for a quote on some work, and they advised me against having it done, even though it would take $s out of their pocket. I had my boat trailer painted by them a number of years ago, and they not only did a great job, but replaced the wiring without even charging me. Very impressed. These guys took my trailer in to replace a broken tongue Jack, which required widening of the lower hole, fix a broken weld on the ramp, replace the tail lights with LED lights, and replace an e-brake switch. Stopped in by accident was next-door at the auto upholstery shop Noticed the trailer shop when I went inside met a man named Roger he was very helpful spoke with for about a half an hour regarding the trailer I should purchase for my Hardwood Flooring business. Roger doesn't even sell trailers like I'm buying only fixes them and works on them his trailers are more higher end specialized versions so it was quite a surprise to get such good advice and help as soon as I get my trailer I'm taking it back to Roger seems like a true craftsman and a straight shooter. few years ago I installed my hitch for my 2012 Mercedes sprinter, first mistake they did by cutting my bumper to to make it work without telling me second I specifically told him I wanted 7way connector he didn't install it now my bumper doesn't look right. I just let it go. I don't use my hitch a lot maybe used it 4-7 times, on 9/30/2016 I wanted to use my hitch it it wasn't working I came in he told my computer they installed is not working I asked him how much would it be to change it and install 7 way connector he say $80 bucks I told ok When he was done his employer wanted to change me $180 I end up paying $115. Came home to test it not working:(. Came back on next day Bruce with his employer tested and told me you have power everything working I told him let's check on a trailer we did and it didn't work, I told him maybe there is a problem after that he started yelling and swearing I don't want to fix it just get out of here leave my property. I had talk to the owner a bout making me a trailer. He said he was very busy at the time and could not do it for several months. In Aug I asked again and he said he could do it and to give him a( $1000.00 deposit in cash. ) I gave him the money and he said he could start it next week. I had also talked to an employee to do some work on my car for cash under the table, and one day he said he did not want to work on it any more and gave me a bill. First I was shocked, and he had my car off and on for several months and did not finish it. He also did work that I did not ask him to do. when I went to pay him I had realize that I over paid him based on time he put down. We agreed to $25.00 hr and when I told him a bout the bill he said NO I was charging $40.00 hr. I thought he was kidding. This person went from 0 - 100 in 10 seconds. He started yelling at me and said. I am going to talk to the owner and tell him to give you back your deposit, and you can take your sh**t and get out. His exact words. At this point it had been 6 weeks since I gave them the cash deposit for the trailer and they had never started it. The owner backed him up, and he did not give me back the money right a way. Ever time I came to the shop the employee would swear at me call me a gay slur and tells me to get out and leave. What kind of employee dose this? What kind of owner allows this? We sent one of our dump trucks into Sylvan earlier this year because we had an electrical problem and it needed a new converter. After three trips in for the same repair and paying for the same thing each time I questioned Bruce for the last charge of nearly $300. He totally lost his cool and threatened to track my rig down and rip out his converter if I didn't pay. The funny thing was I didn't even say I wouldn't pay I was just inquiring as to why I was having to buy another converter within a few short months. We also sent a dump trailer into them because the charging system didn't work. After paying $800 for a completely new wiring system I still have to use a battery charger. Again Bruce refused to stand behind his work and blames his poor workmanship on us saying that we did something to cause the problem. I've since found a company to handle our trailer and electrical repairs that does stand behind their work. check out Allied trailer and don't waste your time or money with Sylvan. read more

i took a truck in for a tow package when i got it back the brake & tail lights were very dim and the ride height of the tung was way to high when i called they said bring it back we'll fix it when i went back a employee with a major attitude came out and checked output on the tail lights not brake & turn then claims its my wiring on the trailer and wanted me to pay them to fix it. the wiring on the trailer and lights are NEW and the trailer works fine on the other truck they did for me but not this one then they refused putting the proper step down hitch on without me paying again when i wouldn't pay again i got told to take my s**t and leave WOW real professional eh ? what did i pay 400$ cash for? a trailer that bounces BAD and dim lights and yea they prefer cash that way you cant stop payment for crap work the guy that runs this place belongs in prison bunch of crooks read more
