Today I was planning to barbecue at the beach with some friends and stopped in for a a few last-minute items. I bought charcoal, tumbleweed, and some lighter fluid. Then I found some chicken drumsticks to add to the hamburgers and hotdog that I already had in my cooler. Because this is not a supercenter, I'm able to walk in and out less than 10 minutes and be back in the car and on my way. I find it more convenient less expensive than Publix. It has lots of Eastern European products along with a fresh bakery and fresh prepared foods aisle. Some products are cheaper than say Publix and others were more expensive. But you won't find some of the European ethnic foods like a gazillion types of sardines and olives, and pickled products to choose from in your mainstream grocery. If you are looking for a certain European grocery item, chances are they will have it here. They even have a fresh fish section. It's freezing in here so bring a jacket/sweater. I really enjoyed browsing the aisles making note of some hard to find items for my next culinary adventure. The aisles are very narrow however so best to come early in the morning at opening. Since I was in the area, I only came here to see if they had a particular brand of bug spray in stock. As I entered through the garden section, I asked a male employee who was standing by the door if the bug spray was in this area. He shook his head no. I assumed he didn't understand what I was asking for. It didn't matter, I spotted some Raid on the shelf near the pottery. I eventually found the brand I looking for which was on clearance. I also was able to find a courteous male associate to price check the item (after a female associate said she couldn't do one) just to make sure it rang up at the listed price. It was accurate. Was out of that store in minutes. I'm not sure when I will return. Decent customer service was a bit difficult to get at this location.

Yes, there are some times you can go where lines aren't as bad but the parking is terrible although better than North Miami. Hard to find a spot and usually carts left in parking lot and no carts in store. The lines aren't very long, I've been here before, with 2-3 registers open and a line nearly half way back through the store so appear to have staffing issues. As of recently, it also seems like there's a whole section of women's clothing missing. I came across sportswear, bathing suits, and plus sized but maybe that's all Walmarts as it's maybe a biannual trip for me. I'd say it's worth a trip here over the mess and crowd in north Miami but also worth driving further west to go if you need to.
