We spent over $300 on this project, so we weren't just there to waste time. My two grandsons were a bit rambunctious after being cooped up in the house the last two days. They were running in the aisles but steering clear of the merchandise. A sour looking employee happened to be doing some menial work near where the boys were running around and at one point yelled at my daughter to control her kids and make them stop running around the merchandise. I was personally keeping an eye on the boys and making sure they stayed in the middle of the aisle and were nowhere near anything they could disturb. We didn't appreciate her rude attitude, nor her unsolicited "parenting" towards my daughter and grandkids. Her income is based on customers purchasing products. If her lousy attitude chases people away, Hobby Lobby loses business. I asked the cashier for the name of that unprofessional, unfriendly witch, since she happened to be standing behind her. She told me her name is Annie. So, I advise whoever is in charge of this Annie, to train her how to properly deal with customers who are spending large amounts in the store. She is a huge turnoff!!

Overall I had a successful trip to Ross. One thing I didn't appreciate about this El Centro…read morelocation was twice I asked for help but the staff member didn't have a clue as to what I said, or how to tell me in English what I needed to know. I could see in their eyes that they had a genuine desire to help me. I stopped in to buy myself a souvenir hat from El Centro, and to browse about to see if they had anything useful for my car. The hat selection was very limited. Mostly Ball caps, and those beanies closely resembling the Old Navy watch caps. They also had a bucket hat, but it's pastel color wasn't for me. i was hopping to find a golf hat. I ended up buying a ball cap with a US flag on it and a phone holder that attaches to the mirror. This will be useful for times when I use my phone as a GPS or watching movies when parked. The gal at the checkout spoke English and checked me out quickly and accurately. I don't think she cared about me coming to Ross to buy a souvenir hat. Which I felt was a dollar more than I anticipated. The did have a better selection of men's ballcaps than Walmart had. And a far better deal on the phone holder. I probably would have shopped around a bit longer but I started getting hungry. When a i couldn't find white Fruit of the Loom briefs. I decided not to seek help with the staff since twice before I was unsuccessful at getting the help I needed, so I decided to go to Del Taco for lunch. Yes you can pay over there I paid and then as I was leaving the security guard wanted to speak to me in English and asked me for my receipt and then dug in my bag to look at the items and pull one out. never in my life have I ever experienced this. I got an original design art piece along with other artwork and a beautiful glass vase from Poland (thick glass) among other things. When I learned he ships anywhere, I was able to get a large square glass dining table that my daughter- in- love fell in love for them (house warming gift) -- it will be shipped up north. Austin has a wealth of design knowledge he willingly shares. He is personable and also helped us fit everything in our van creatively. We couldn't have done it without him!
