Maybe I'm just remembering the exceptional service (not to mention the Frango Mints) of this store's "hey-day" as Fields, but the customer service in the Rockford Macy's is pretty low-class. Never enough clerks, and the ones I've run into are over-extended, unprofessional, and rude. I miss the old Marshall Field's tradition of wonderful service provided by well-trained, cheerful, and always helpful staff that had worked at the store for many years. So very sad. Leave it to Macy's to swallow up yet another great old retail icon. I won't bother with this store again when Bergner's is in the same Mall!!

After a quick fitting, he called one of his other locations and managed to have the suits delivered already altered to fit us perfectly, tags removed, and ready to go. Best of all, these are really nice suits! The fabric is wonderfully soft and we made it to the wedding with minutes to spare looking like a million bucks. The store has a really nice assortment of suits, rental tuxedos, shoes, belts, hats, vests, jackets, shirts, and wallets. They even do dry cleaning! But most importantly, the customer service is, obviously, beyond compare. We were very impressed and we will be back. Thank you Kyle and Threads for saving and making our day! Highly recommend.

The store feels like a vibrant man cave and a gateway to the professional world. Meeting Steve was such a great time. It's pricey but the clothing is hard to find that you really can't find at other stores. My only con about the store that dissapointed me was that I went to their website and they didn't have an online store. It's a bit of a drive to Geneva so an online store would of been convenient. Overall, this store is pretty much top teir men's professional wear.

My FH and I decided to use Jos A Banks in February for our Groomsmen and FH. we picked out our…read morefabric for the vests found our ties. My FH was messured for his vest we decided we would pay for everyone's vests and ties. We were told that the only way we could pay for the vests is to purchase gift cards for the vests because everyone still needed to be measured. we were fine with that we were told we could just leave the gift cards at the store and when they came in they could use them. My brother went in a couple weeks later to get measured.While he was there they made us aware that the were out of the material we had originally picked out. we told them to go ahead and measure him and we would be in when we could to pick something different. A few weeks after that we made it there to pick out new material and to have our 2 boys measured for their vests, and pick up my FH vest. While there we were told the fabric was back in stock! well then we were told that when they got my brothers measurements they took the wrong ones? Not sure how that even happens. We were also told that they couldn't make the vests in our boys size after we were already told when we asked the first day that because they are being custom made they can be made in any size. They then told us they could rent us vests for the boys free of charge the problem with this is the child size vests don't have a back and the fact that the guys aren't wearing jackets over them it would look redicouls! we decided to find the boys vests elsewhere and go ahead with the men. We then called the best man and told him to make sure to get in right away to get measured so everything could get ordered he went that same weekend got measured. Then everything was closed down and I cannot get ahold of anyone about the order if his was ever ordered how my brother is supposed to be remeasured. My wedding is in 78 days they already have my money. I am so upset that I can't get some kind of communication from them.

My wife and I went here to look at clothes for an upcoming vacation. We didn't want to spend a ton…read moreof money because we wanted to save it to blow on vacation, but we wanted to get some nicer clothes. She saw a pair of jeans on a bartender we know that she liked and asked here where she bought them, she pointed us to Marshalls. We were surprised by what we found when we went in. There were a lot of designer and name brand clothes, including clothes from shops in the mall here for a fraction of the price. I picked up a pair of shorts and a shirt for just over $30.00 that, if their tags don't lie, would normally have cost me over $100.00 combined. Based on the brand name on them and where I've seen them in the past, I don't think it's far off. They had clothes, accessories, shoes, and much more. If you follow the signs, you can find items you are looking for and sizes fairly easy. However, the racks are a MESS! People putting things back in different areas, so many different things mixed together. It's almost like trying to shop in a second hand store sometimes. So if you just want to save some money or you are on a budget but don't want to dress like it. I'd recommend checking them out. What's the worst that's going to happen? You leave and go to the stores you normally shop. I know I'll be going back.
