Exciting new place at the Residence Inn by Marriott. Only open a couple of months, like Forsythia in the spring it will be exciting to watch this place get better as the spring arrives. The place was not crowded so we received excellent service. A welcome addition to the neighborhood. Restaurant has leather booths and tables scattered throughout. Currently has a limited menu but did not disappoint. I had one of their signature drinks with Bulleit bourbon and lemon and ginger. It was not very strong but had a refreshing taste with some carbonation almost like kombucha. I followed with a fantastic dry Italian white scarpetta Pinot Grigio. The dirty martini was also very good. The glassware was elegant with a nice cut rim. Started with some honey wings which were tasty and had a nice crispy outside. I ate the salad with baby spinach, feta cheese and pomegranate seeds and added salmon. The salmon was gently cooked almost seemed poached - so flavorful I also ordered the quinoa with roasted vegetables and it was outstanding. The roasted veggies had broccolini and maybe Brussels sprouts. One suggestion is they should allow you to add salmon to the quinoa dish. The crab cake was very very good, you could taste the lumps of crab, I would suggest they offer an option for two crab cakes, however. I was getting a kind of very modern Middle eastern vibe with the food and the decor, dark and lounge-like. The music was a bit out of place, very young and poppy and a bit distracting. I would upgrade the pop music to something more sophisticated like high-end international electronic, European lounge like Buddha-bar, or world music lounge to make the experience more unique. It was also a bit awkward that the bathrooms required a hotel key, but hopefully they can turn that feature off during lunch and dinners. To summarize, we were very happy we decided to try this new place and I look forward to coming back and watching this place and its menu further develop. read more
