They stole $475 from my 14 year disabled daughter's piggy bank and $100 from my wallet. My daughter was so upset she was crying for a week and ended up in the hospital. Also they came late, dented and damaged walls moving my stuff. I filed a police report that night when I realized they stole from my wallet. My purse was in my closet where they were not supposed to be anywhere near and there was three guys and it was hard to follow them around all day. This should not happen!

However, yesterday afternoon the gate was broken and there was no one at all, in the whole company, no emergency number, no help. I am fortunate that I was trying to get in because then my trailer and car did not get stuck in the facility. I would have called 911 to get me out. This is completely unacceptable, and the company needs to figure out of being contacted and helping people in this situation.

I called national archives and spoke to Brad who gave me an estimate over the phone. I was shocked at how reasonable their prices were. I scheduled a pick up a few days later and they came and took our 14 boxes from the basement without a problem and were so kind and courteous. 3 days later I got the certificate that all our documents had been shredded. There is no drive-up access with an entrance that you can back your moving van into. The Holbrook location has one, but that is too far from where I live. There is no garage-like unit that you can directly drive your vehicle into. The Bethpage location has one, so I should have gone there. This was my first time hiring movers and J & G Moving exceeded my expectations! The move went so…read moresmoothly that I highly recommend them. I price-compared a ton of NYC moving companies and J & G gave me a competitive moving quote. Additionally, the building I was moving into required a certificate of insurance (COI) and J & G was able to offer it for me for free. A lot of other companies charge for this. Before moving, I communicated with them via email and they always responded promptly and were very clear about what their moving package included. The day of the move, they called and asked if it was okay if they came an hour early. They were very communicative with me during the whole move. The lead guy (forgot his name!) assessed how many things I had and then discussed with the other 2 men on how to efficiently approach the move. The 3 men were over 6' tall and strong, and they were able to finish my whole move in a little more than 1 hr! I did not have anything that was easily breakable but the men treated my things with care. They provided blanket and shrink wrapping for all of my furniture. Everything was loaded up into their truck very quickly. These guys wasted no time. When I arrived at my new apartment building, they had already started unloading my things. I had my boxes labeled with what was inside (i.e., kitchen supplies, shoes, jackets) and they actually placed each box in the corresponding room. Best of all, there were no hidden fees. They ended up not charging me a processing fee that was included in the quote and gave me $40 off my quoted price. The movers were so friendly, communicative and professional, I will definitely be using J & G Moving again! I also wanted to note that on the day of my move, the street I was moving from was blocked due to construction. J & G movers did not complain or make any mention of that until I had stepped outside of my apartment building and noticed it. These guys provide excellent customer service and I was very impressed by them.
