We ended up deciding on the JCC based on what we heard from others as well as the tour there, and are so happy that we did. My son's teachers keep us updated via the HiMama app throughout the day and are so caring and responsive to any questions or concerns. There are numerous outdoor play areas and the facility is very clean and organized. They have an excellent covid policy in place as well, which keeps the children and staff as safe as possible. We are also JCC fitness center members and enjoy the facilities, and we plan to look into the offered work out classes as well!

I use the gym facilities (including the eGym system which is very cool), and we have thought about taking advantage of some of the childcare options they offer like "parents night out" The place hasn't changed a ton since it first opened. The locker rooms could use a refresh but the workout areas are solid. I'm not currently a pool user so I can't comment on that. I do feel like the cost to benefit ratio is worth it - especially for a family membership.

Due to the fact that I am not a large donor of the YMCA, those who do donate are basically buying a pass to be terrible people and the YMCA as a cooperation are allowing it. We were all anxious and signed him only for one week, and mentally ready to go pick him up early in case he wanted to come back. I remember receiving a call from one of the directors two days after Camp started. I thought: my son is homesick and they are calling to go and pick him! Instead of that, he asked to call home to beg if he can stay longer! He was having so much fun and enjoying himself. For summer 2017, he wants to stay the 4 weeks!!! He can't wait.
