At the beginning she asked if I wanted lashes, and I agreed. Towards the end of my appointment, she handed me the mirror to check on my makeup. I pointed out a few things, which she fixed and at that point, I was happy. When I went to pay, my artist mentioned to the person at the desk the lashes. And when they stated the price, it was $20 higher than I was originally anticipating per the pricing online. They asked if I wanted a receipt, I said yes to check it but they only handed me the credit card slip. I asked for the itemized receipt and the lashes were an extra $20. At no point did the makeup artist mention the up charge and I was a little taken aback. A friend of mine came in after and I mentioned the lashes to her and she opted out of them. I was frustrated as I literally had lashes in my purse while sitting in the makeup chair. I wish I had the option to pay the extra fee instead of not being warned. I mentioned I didn't get my makeup done often so this wasn't something I was expecting and it wasn't listed on their website that lashes were extra when booking. I was really disappointed as I felt like it was done secretive instead of being open with clients.

I've usually gone to Brittany or Luciana, but since they're no longer there (which is sad because they were great), I gave this new girl a chance. Unfortunately, my lashes barely held their lift after few minute of driving away (5 mins) and didn't even look tinted. They just looked like my regular lashes. The brows came out decent, but she did some waxing and cutting, which I hadn't asked for, now one tail is shorter than the other and thinner.. there goes months of growing. To make things worse, I ended up with a burn! I wasn't going to pay $175 for this, so I went back and asked for a refund for the lashes at least. It's a real shame because the place was great with Brittany and Luciana. I wouldn't be surprised if they left because they weren't treated well and made their own business. The girl who worked on me even mentioned she only had THREE MONTHS OF EXPERIENCE, which really showed. Brazilian Beauty shouldn't advertise services they're not qualified to provide. Sadly, my eyes hurt now, and I wish I didnt even get coerced to do brow lamination wasted half my day for nothing. I LOVED this place but can no longer recommend or support.

I ended up going to get it checked out, and the doctor suggested it could have been caused by a contaminated or improperly disinfected extraction tool. That immediately made sense to me because I didn't see a barbicide jar or any visible sanitizing setup in the room where my facial was performed. It really made me question whether they are properly disinfecting their tools between clients. Overall, this experience was stressful.

I was not thrilled with the amount of color suggestions, but chose to let it slide as SNS is still new to a lot of salons. I have been getting SNS for a while now, so I am pretty familiar with the process. At the end, the lady put a regular gel coat on top of my nails and had me dry them in the UV light. Now, this is actually why I stopped doing regular gel - I do not like the uv light box. I was annoyed, but chose to not say anything which I now regret. I got my nails done on a Friday, by Wednesday (only 5 days later) my nails looked horrendous! They were peeling (see picture) to the point where I had to get them redone. I didn't go back, so maybe they would have fixed them for free, but I went back to my old salon since I know they do a great job. Usually SNS will last 3 weeks, so I was incredibly disappointed. The polish on my toes also started chipping pretty bad after only a week. The reason this place got 3 stars is because the pedicure massage. Disappointed and will not be returning back

Usually I have Veronica do my waxes, but this last time I had Nelly. The whole experience is completely sanitary, and Nelly was great! Even though I've been getting waxed for a while, she still made sure to talk me through everything as she was doing it which I found to be good as it took my mind off of the waxing itself.
