At the beginning she asked if I wanted lashes, and I agreed. Towards the end of my appointment, she handed me the mirror to check on my makeup. I pointed out a few things, which she fixed and at that point, I was happy. When I went to pay, my artist mentioned to the person at the desk the lashes. And when they stated the price, it was $20 higher than I was originally anticipating per the pricing online. They asked if I wanted a receipt, I said yes to check it but they only handed me the credit card slip. I asked for the itemized receipt and the lashes were an extra $20. At no point did the makeup artist mention the up charge and I was a little taken aback. A friend of mine came in after and I mentioned the lashes to her and she opted out of them. I was frustrated as I literally had lashes in my purse while sitting in the makeup chair. I wish I had the option to pay the extra fee instead of not being warned. I mentioned I didn't get my makeup done often so this wasn't something I was expecting and it wasn't listed on their website that lashes were extra when booking. I was really disappointed as I felt like it was done secretive instead of being open with clients.

My experience at Bliss Salon was very disappointing. I showed my stylist what I wanted and she did…read morenot do what I wanted. I left the salon after 4 hours and I looked pretty crazy. My blowout was extremely unflattering but I have a lot of hair and it's thick so I've never been able to have a stylist make my hair look good. Regardless, I asked for a trim and when I went home I noticed how botched that was. I had to redo my haircut and style it better. However, the color was not what I wanted. My roots were so many different colors, I was embarrassed to go outside. I called the salon to let them know I was unhappy with the way my hair came out and I was told the earliest I can be seen is Saturday, my appointment was on a Wednesday. Apparently my stylist had her son's game thursday and Friday she had a bridal party to do. I asked if I could get another stylist and I was told no. I tried to ask for different times but nothing worked for the stylist.. at that point I felt the energy from the receptionist. She was acting like I was bothering her and treating me like "take it or leave it". So finally I decided to take the Saturday appointment. I had gotten a root smudge which is what i ORIGINALLY wanted. And guess what, they made me pay for it!! The owner said "we didn't charge you for a root smudge but you got one today so we have to charge you." I left there with just a small part of my hair dried to see how the color looked. But the rest of my hair was wet. The only person that seemed somewhat apologetic was my stylist. She admitted she left early the first time so she didn't get a chance to see the final result of my hair. So I left with wet hair, paid for the root smudge and I left feeling so regretful I ever stepped foot in that salon. They clearly only care about money and I will absolutely NEVER step foot back in there ever again.

I had called a few other salons in the area for an appt first and their manner on the phone was rude, layers wasnt. They were kind and accommodating. Every time I went to layers salon, I felt like I was visiting friends. I even brought my toddler with me a few times and even though he was a little rambunctious, everyone welcomed him with open arms. When I first started getting my hair done at Layers, I had a bob, then eventually decided on a pixie cut. My desires for my hair were always heard and cuts executed amazingly.
