Looking for a new nail salon, I decided to give this one a shot. I started with a pedicure, which was very enjoyable. I am a sucker for the extra foot massage, but included in their regular price I got a pretty long one - Which I was really excited about! I got a powdered gel manicure next. I was not thrilled with the amount of color suggestions, but chose to let it slide as SNS is still new to a lot of salons. I have been getting SNS for a while now, so I am pretty familiar with the process. At the end, the lady put a regular gel coat on top of my nails and had me dry them in the UV light. Now, this is actually why I stopped doing regular gel - I do not like the uv light box. I was annoyed, but chose to not say anything which I now regret. I got my nails done on a Friday, by Wednesday (only 5 days later) my nails looked horrendous! They were peeling (see picture) to the point where I had to get them redone. I didn't go back, so maybe they would have fixed them for free, but I went back to my old salon since I know they do a great job. Usually SNS will last 3 weeks, so I was incredibly disappointed. Nails were wonky and a few times nail polish was flung onto my clothes and stained them and even my face. One time the nail polish flung onto my French manicure and the nail artist ignored it until I said that there were obvious splatter white dots on my nails. It was rushed and my sister and I were the first ones in with an appointment so I don't know why a rush would be necessary. Now that I'm out of the salon I noticed most of my nails are wonky and bubbling. Extremely disappointed. Felt like I was a bother when I asked for them to fix the one nail I had splattered white on. I have been a loyal customer for years. But the quality has been slipping and I finally have to call it quits. I can no longer pay for uneven nails and polish all over my skin. The staff, even the owner, rush and don't put any effort into the work, just going through the motions. I continue to give them another chance and Leave in frustration every time. I've been to Sun nails numerous times and each time I go in for mani/pedi for my daughter and husband. I just visited the salon today and the experience forced me to write this review. The did a terrible job on both. The mani/pedi was under 45 minutes. Barely a massage and the paint job was splotchy. They had the nerve to give us 3 different prices. Charged us $130 initials and then said they undercharged us multiple times and demanded an additional $15. This did not reflect the prices on their board. I made an appointment for a regular pedicure. I was not a walk-in. I arrived as scheduled at the time of my appointment. I sat down and within a few minutes was escorted to a pedicure chair. The girl setup the water, sprinkled some stuff in and walked away. Thirty minutes later (30 mins), I'm still waiting. She completely forgot about me. Other people, walked in and got taken care of right away. I finally spoke up and the same girl came running over and said that now she would do my pedicure. In the interim, she's at the front desk, taking phone calls, checking people out, running the register. I told her "This is a joke! I made an appointment. I didn't just walk-in. I'm leaving. " I walked out. Do yourself a favor with this place - DON'T BOTHER!!!!! They OBVIOUSLY don't care about customers at all. read more

no longer coming back. I previously came to this salon and got a good mani and pedi, which lasted a while. The pedicure is experience is great, which is why I came back a second time. This past experience was awful, specifically the mani. The pedicure was fine. However, I sat waiting for 15 minutes to be seen for my manicure. This would normally not bother me but there were quite a few employees who did not have customers. I was finally seen by a woman who specializes in gels and acrylics. She was rude and rough and made my nails bleed, which has never happened to me before. I then asked for a small design to which she spent a good 5 mins complaining about under her breath and then to her colleague. Needless to say my manicure did not even last 2 days, my nail beds look horrific and my pedicure, which usually lasts a good few weeks, is chipping too. No thanks read more

Every time I have been there for a manicure, they do a great job. The place is spacious, comfortable & clean. It is reasonably priced and has an ATM ($1.50 fee) because there is a $15.00 minimum charge & mani is just $10 & cash for the tip! Cannot beat that. Elena did my nails this evening & did an outstanding job. They are always available and opened til 7:30 pm on a week night which is convenient. My boyfriend gets the green tea spa pedicure here and has been raving about how great the experience is since I've met him! I eventually decided to cheat on my nail salon and check Sun's out for myself. I loved it! The wait wasn't long for a walk-in, the pedicure was great, they gave me a massage while I waited to get my manicure, the gel manicure was great and lasted 3 weeks.. everything was amazing! I called ask for pricing was told the price. I arrived, asked again. As I am getting a pedicure, I was asked questions I couldn't understand about which pedicure. I repeated what I was told. She assured me- yes, yes. When I was done 65.00! I stated I had asked and was told a price. The manicurist said- oh she probably thought you wanted this. Then the manicurist spoke to the boss(?) in a language I didn't know and seemed hostile to me, the boss (?) said so sorry. The manicurist continued to have an attitude. This is the best nail salon in New Jersey! I've been coming here for years. The pedicures are amazing! They use so many exfoliating products and lotions! They really take their time massaging your feet and legs. My mom always get callus remover and she says it's the best for her cracked feet. Everyone is so wonderful and nice! I have come here multiple times trying to give them a chance but each time I have received a gel manicure/pedicure it had begun chipping and didn't last more than four days. The experience has always been good but their services are far too expensive for it not to last more than a week. read more

I'm only giving this place 1 star because they completely ripped me off by charging $94 for a spa pedicure with gel polish... that I brought with me!!!! I'm in the nail industry, I have been doing nails for 35 years myself and I let that be known so that these girls are always on the top of their game. Well apparently the owner of this salon did not take THAT into consideration, that this is what I do everyday and know my prices for services. I was here treating myself to a spa pedicure that was 20% off $75 (which is still a ridiculous price for these Asian salons), but I needed a relaxing day outside of my own salon work environment and people recommended this place since it was new. I was dumbstruck when she told me $94! NEVER EVER have I paid anything close to these prices! She explained it was $30 extra for a gel pedicure which was added on top of my spa ped price!!! Not ok!! I paid, then went back because I was so upset. The owner (?) Continually told me it's an additional $30 to have gel polish which is unheard of to charge that for simply adding that to your ped, so I am appalled to have been so blatantly ripped off with ZERO remorse from the owner, who, when I went back, Fought with me vehemently to be refunded and only gave me $15!
