One and done. Incompetent waxing and staff focused on wrong priorities: themselves, certainly not the customers. Wax temperature was obviously way too hot - walked out in pain with redness / terrible rash in sensitive skin areas and was walking funny for 2 days until my skin healed. I really prefer this location over the others I've been to, mostly because I've been going to Christy for the last few months. I go to Christy for Brazilian waxes and she makes them so much less painful than I'm used to. She just makes me feel comfortable and she REALLY knows what she's doing.... so easy to talk to which puts me at ease and makes the experience less painful. It's a pleasure coming to her. Very nice staff, friendly and welcoming! Unfortunately my experience was terrible. Been waxing at EWC in Clifton for 5 years without interruption. Only stopped recently due to Covid. Moved recently to Wayne and decided to go to 2 weeks ago after they finally reopened . The girl completely butchered me. Worst wax ever. Have been in terrible pain since so much that I couldn't go for a touch up 2 days later since she didn't remove all the hair. Hairs long enough that would have come out with wax. Additionally I have so many ingrown hairs now as a result of poor waxing technique. Very disappointed that EWC would allow someone lacking experience to practice. I will not disclose her name but please make sure to ask how experienced is the waxer before putting your hands with an entry level person. I am definitely paying the price read more

I had a good waxing experience but grew hair back almost immediately it seemed. I didn't know they had a 5 day "touch up" period so I called after the 7th day because I hadn't had time earlier and apparently now it's too late. My last appointment was my first one with that company and I was never informed of this policy or that there was even a possibility it would grow back in 3 days. I cancelled my next scheduled appointment it seems like a waste of time and money. I did it so I wouldn't have to shave on vacation but that didn't work out. Clean establishment, my waxer was good. There's always an issue when calling this location! Victoria is at the call center! And she is awful! Please do something about it! She does not book people properly. And when you shop up for your appointment they do not have you booked! Felt really bad for the lovely ladies at the reception desk! I tried waxing myself and when that became an epic fail I tried EWC based on a recommendation. I decided to get under arms, Brazilian, and full leg. It was well worth the cost and pain. At first I bounced around a bit not knowing much about waxing but soon learned, like in any profession, some are better than others. Christy is the best!!!!! It's uncomfortable getting a Brazilian, your waxer probably has a closer relationship with your 'v' then your gyno so having someone that makes you feel comfortable is super important. So not only is her personality great she is really good at what she does. I only go to her and will wait for an opening. As far as EWC as a whole, a little pricey but for the services well worth it. The hard wax I find to be less painful and if you go to the right person ^^^^ it is quick and clean. Also I am a fan of the ingrown hair serum and the body wash. I use them regularly and have found I can go a little longer in between waxings read more

This was excellent! I had my first Brazilian wax here, and it was fantastic! I was very nervous after hearing all these horror stories about Brazilian waxes, but from the moment I stepped into their posh lobby, I felt comfortable. Everything is clean and you have your own closed off room with a aesthetician who explains all options and the process that she will go through for the wax. The wait time was 2 minutes, I stepped into the room, my aesthetician showed me what they will use and started the wax. She let me know she was going start off with a bikini wax, so in case the whole wax was too much, I could stop without a wacky Half waxe result The actual wax they use must numb pain a little or something, because it didn't hurt as much as everyone says! The results are fantastic, and your first wax here is free (or in the case of a Brazilian wax, half off!!) This is the place to go to avoid those wax horror stories, 5 stars! read more

This place is a poor excuse for a business. In the 1+ years I've been a customer I have yet to come across someone at the front desk that is polite and suitable for customer service. Most are rude and less than accommodating. The waxers on the other hand--every one of them are amazing. I wish I could give them a higher review because they do an excellent job- but the management and front desk ruin it all. And don't plan on stopping in for a "walk in" appointment- they will NOT accommodate you for that! I'll find a new waxing establishment before I ever step foot back in this plac --update-- I went back to get a gift card for a friend who has gone here for years.. and I was reminded once again why this place is so horrible. Worst experience of my life! I went to Christie and specifically asked for "thick" eyebrows. I must have repeated that word "thick" at least 10 times. We even went over my shape and I told her again "soft thick eyebrows". After she was done demolishing and hacking at my eyebrows, I looked in the mirror and saw two very uneven thin lines! My heart broke apart as I was freaking out and yelling because my engagement shoot is in 2 weeks. The worst part, is that she said they were still thick. If she did anymore I would have nothing left. If you want thin eyebrows she is the one to see. If you want a disaster on your face, she is the one to see, if you want someone to do the complete opposite of what you ask for, she is the one to see. I went three times and initially loved the place. Each time was full leg wax with bikini line. The last time I went - which was a few days before a big beach vacation my legs didn't feel smooth. I thought they were just dry but 4 days later as I sat on the beach I could see the hair on my legs. A lot of it. I just went here for the first time ever yesterday for a Brazilian wax. Absolutely the best wax I've ever had! Their wax is not only incredible, but their staff is so knowledgable. Definitely ask for Laura. She made the process fast, virtually painless, and expertly done. I have been to spas that charge double what they charge here with dismal results. I've been seeing Deandra for a little while now and she is the BEST I've come across at a EWC. She does my Brazilians and they're the least painful I've ever experienced since I started going to her! She's so sweet very professional something so personal should be done by someone great that makes you comfortable so if your in the area and not sure where to go I promise you to go to Deandra! She also does my brows which I used to not get done very often because I never fell in love with how others have waxed them, but since she's done them I love them an I'm constantly returning! If I could give the waxers (especially Carol) 7 stars I would. HOWEVER, Somebody needs to have a serious talk with the receptionists. I won't give any names, but there are a couple girls who are extremely unpleasant and not welcoming. As a receptionist, you are the first face people see when we walk into a salon, and especially at a place like this, we want to walk into COMFORT. My friend and I come here very often and we have recommended European to many, but we will not be coming or recommending if these girls continue to work here with attitudes and very little respect to the clients. Erica Parada will be the best thing that has ever happened to your eyebrows!! She is the Goddess of eyebrows. Not only is she extremely talented she is also incredibly high energy and thoughtful. One look of pity from her was all I needed to know that my brows were, in fact, not on fleek... She was really informative in telling me where my previous waxer (from a different location) had over plucked and where I needed to start growing back some hair. It felt like a strategy meeting to discuss what my eyebrows would need in the next 6-12 months. I expressed concern about the redness and breakouts after waxing but Erica talked about the effectiveness of the wax that EWC uses and how gentle the wax is. Sure enough, I barely had any redness after the wax (and it was pretty painless). She uses a special lotion to help with minimal redness after the wax. She also filled in my brows. It's totally worth it because of the knowledge and not only is she waxing my brows but she has now shaped them. It's different when a professional shows you vs. you watching a YouTube video or reading an article on what your brows should look like. The pricing packages may prevent people from the services but if you do the math, it's actually very economical to sign up for a year vs per service. They prebook you before you leave for your next appointment, they consistently call to remind me about your next appointment, they don't judge or charge me if I cancel an appointment last minute because I didn't give them 24 hours like other wax bars, they have consistently been accommodating when I decide to just walk in without an appointment (as long as I'm flexible to wait). I've started now doing lip and bikini waxes with Erica as well and I'm extremely happy. The actual location itself is very clean and everyone who works there has always been welcoming. See Erica. I just started coming to this location about two months ago. Through my best friend, I was referred to her waxer Jen who does her Brazilians monthly. My first experience with this company was great especially with Jen. I had been waxed at European Wax Center a few times prior to going today. I was never really satisfied with my wax but continued to go because I had previously bought a pass. I'm going on vacation next week so I decided to give waxing another chance. However, I decided to go with a different waxer and it was a great decision. Based off reviews, I went with Christy. She is excellent at her job and really puts in the time to give you the wax you want. I am more than satisfied with the perfect job that she did, so I bought another pass.
