It happened very quickly. I have a much loved garden that has been a joy for many years but became a neglected sad space ever since the COVID lockdown and there was no one to do the regular maintenance. The funny thing is how things accumulate and the neglect kind of feeds itself to become even deeper neglect. At some point, one simply throws up their hands, shrugs and gives up. Our neighbour was doing a remodel and I suppose Systems pavers were around to introduce themselves to the neighbors. That's when I first met one of their representative who made an appointment with their design person, Robin. My first meeting with Robin was detailed and we finished a (non judgemental.. to my relief) walk through the garden. We identified four different areas that could use some paver work. My much loved and well used garden already had many sentimental nooks and crannies. In the past, I haven't been able to do any work with other landscapers because every designer wanted to 'raze it down' for a 'clean slate'. I told Robin that I did not want to take away what made the garden special to me.. its familiar coziness and the nostalgia. Finally, we picked two areas to pave. The first area had to be a rectangular area leaving the existing fruit trees and rose bushes intact. And the second was a neglected spot that was visited by critters but had potential. Robin had fancy tools that quickly zigged and zagged on the screen for exact measurements. We finally chose to do only two areas because we haven't worked with Systems Pavers before and wanted to see their process. Suffice to say, we will work with them again for the front area also. Part 1 is done. For Part 2, Robin brought in their project manager and introduced Adrian. Adrian was very efficient and quickly managed/set expectations about timeline and what to expect in the next few days. They started on a Monday and finished on Thursday. Our expectations was that it would take a 5 days- a week! The crew came bright and early in the morning..and got to work right away. Adrian came to check on the work everyday and sent video messages about the progress when we weren't around to meet with him. During the border installation, more workers joined the crew. The borders seem to be the most challenging skill. We had also added two benches in the beginning by the door, but then I wanted it under the fruit trees instead. They were able to accommodate the change in its placement. It looks nice now. One thing lost in communication was the color of the pavers and the arrangement of it. It turned out fine.. so it's ok. I also liked that the installation crew cleaned up every day after the day's job was done. They didn't leave it messy until the completion day. So basically, there are three managers involved. Robin who did the design and initial development. Adrian who was the project manager. And Ben who was the head of the install team. The install crew was 2-4 people working on different things. The delivery of the pavers, informing the neighbours of the disturbance and even the porta potty for the crew was all taken care by them. The value is in the management. There are many companies and landscapers who install pavers. It's a straight forward job, but the co-ordination of all the different moving parts and tasks seamlessly with daily updates makes the experience painless with System Pavers. You definitely get what you pay for. I have had concrete and flagstone work done before. Pavers are going to be pricier than concrete, sure.. but this comes with a 25 year warranty (except around trees if paver stones are displaced or lifted due to aggressive roots). And the warranty is transferable even if the property is sold. It's definitely an investment. Every year, maintenance becomes an issue and it is becoming more and more difficult to find people who can do the hard work needed for a beautiful garden space that can be enjoyed. For me, heating me out and including the established fruit trees and roses in the design and building around it sealed the deal. While pavers can be for driveways or pathways or sitting areas.. for a small backyard space like mine, it has to perform many functions without sacrificing the greenery and still retain the look of a garden. Two questions for you: Do you want the job done right? Do you want the job done right the first time? Go with System Pavers. My prior experiences with contractors were terrible. They don't start when they say; they don't finish when they say; they rarely show up on time; they don't listen to my concerns with their work. System Pavers was a completely different experience. My backyard was mostly grass and the side yard was clay and wood chips. I asked System Pavers to give an estimate for installing pavers, and fixing some of the problems that previous contractors made (despite my highlighting the issues). Heather, the System Pavers design consultant on my request, came out, took measurements, and spoke with us to figure out what we wanted. That same day, she had the proposal drawn up (very handy for visualizing the project) and the estimate completed. Our experience with Heather reinforced what we knew about System Pavers: they will get the job done right the first time. Our meeting with Heather gave us confidence in System Pavers. After we agreed on the project, System Pavers quickly contacted us to do a walkthrough of the project with Heather and Derek the project manager. Derek answered our questions and provided detailed information on what would happen and where. Then, miracle of miracles, System Pavers started the project when they said they would. I know. Nuts. Erik Oller came to our home to give us a quote for artificial grass and pavers to replace the existing natural lawn and aggregate cement patio that were original to my 60 year old home. I had no idea as to what such a project cost. The fact that we had a very active 3 year old border collie who had worn paths into the sod that could not be fixed by natural landscape changes caused us to look for more durable alternatives. I am thrilled with the result and pleased with using System Pavers. Due to age, I'm no longer able to maintain my yard as I once did. Having the new paver patio and beautiful grass makes my inability to care for my yard myself a nonissue. The best part of the process was working with the wonderful System Paver staff, primarily Adrian O'Donoghue, our project manager and Erik Oller, the salesman/designer. I've been meaning to call a paving company for the last 6+ years, to get my back yard paved and get rid of the lawn. Finally, gave my availability for someone to call. Anthony, arrived early on the day of our meeting. After checking out the yard and my ideas, showed me the design, to include both pavers and turf. I was hesitant about the price. He reassured me he would try to work with me. We met on the third day and he in fact was able to accommodate me. He spent a lot of time and was very patient with me. I am a visual person, and he walked through each part of the design. After signing the contract, I received a call and eventually met my project manager, Adrian. Both Adrian and Anthony arrived to lay out the yard design, and I was told they could start by the following mid week. The workers arrived, about 5-6 of them, and got to work with such speed and efficiency. The day of demolition, they cleared out the small bit of concrete and disposed off the old shed. Alex the crew lead was helpful to let me know what their plan was, and reassured me that they had all the design and plan lay out under control. I was told it would take about 3 weeks, but the whole project was completed in less than 2 weeks. Every day of the project, Adrian was in touch with me via text, or phone call. I was away at work, and could not be present when the workers arrived. Adrian checked in with me and the communication was open between him, the workers and me. At the end of the project, they somehow didn't finish a minor spot for the drain & cover and concrete spot that looked unfinished. During the walk through with Adrian, he called Alex and re-assured me that it would be taken care of. It was. The new space looks lovely. System Pavers Installed a large paver patio in my backyard complete with some beautiful rounded steps up to my sliding doors. I was hesitant for years not knowing how to get started and wanted a company that could account for the uncertainties during installation with ease and, Adrian as my Project Manager and Anthony as my Designer, completely followed through. The laborers are very skilled but need a lot of guidance and can be challenging with their lack of English. At first was on top of them about the details or specifications since they had hard time getting it right which started to get stressful wondering if they are out there making mistakes. But shortly into the project I learned the Adrian would make them redo anything that wasnt to my liking and within reason such as details on how the existing pathway meets the pavers or specifications to get my pergola footers in the exact location and height. At one particular moment the pattern of the pavers was blending together and becoming distracting and Adrian had them lift some of the pavers and shuffle them. Anthony as my designer totally had my energy and was not afraid to iterate on designs until I was satisfied. We spent so much time prior and during installation picturing my future pergola installation and his persistence patience with me in that did not go unnoticed. During installation he even visited to nitpick about a pavers shape or a tiny chip and that made me comfortable knowing they also looked at my patio as if it was their own. If you go with System Pavers lean into your PM and don't fret. They will follow through, bring the laborers back out if they have to, and get it right. We couldn't be happier with our new paver stone driveway! Not only did this company do a fantastic job, but they've restored our faith in humanity. We've always had flooding issues with our driveway, and a few years ago, we let a con man talk us into digging up our concrete driveway and replacing it with blacktop. It was a disaster, with some of the worst workmanship you could imagine, and it introduced a host of new issues. We were really reluctant to trust anyone to fix all of these problems. Enter Team System Pavers! Lidiana came in and came up with a vision (which I could tell she found challenging, but was undaunted). She broke down every part, and explained exactly how to address every single issue. And she made sure that we felt 100% good with our decision. When Ryan, our project manager came on, I knew we were in good hands. Again, he explained each step, and what we could expect. And the foreman, Ben, and his team were quick, professional, and provided a great level of craftsmanship! Now, this job didn't go off without a hitch; there were a few hiccups along the way. That's to be expected in any sort of job like this. What impressed me is that when I brought these matters up, Ryan apologized for the miscommunication, and they made it right immediately. The communication was excellent, and they made sure we were happy with everything before I signed off. Could we have gotten a new driveway for cheaper? Probably; especially if we would have gone with cement again. But could we have gotten a better, more professional, and pleasant team or a more beautiful driveway that fixed all of our problems? Adrian O'Donoghue from System Pavers really came thru for us. We were in the process of getting multiple bids to do our backyard when System Pavers did a door knock campaign at our new housing development by Shea Homes. The sales pitch was really good, & as they say "made us an offer we can't refuse". Short story long, the final finished pavers were not up to the standards we expected from the sales pitch. We had some serious issues with unevenness. Unfortunately the numerous fixes attempted by the project manager Rio, failed to remedy the problem. We became very frustrated. Fortunately, our dissatisfaction made it to the next level of management & Adrian came to our rescue. Adrian along with Brandon Derouen (construction manager) came to listen to our complaints. They both truly listened. They looked at the finished product & confirmed that it was not done right. To our surprise (pleasantly), they offered to take the whole thing apart & redo it the right way. Which they did. The pavers now look the way they should've looked in the first place. We also had an issue with the bark/mulch that was provided for the edges. They are of a very poor quality with lots of pieces of old chopped up wood signs & long ugly shards. To our surprise again, Adrian offered to take the old stuff out & replace it all with a better quality product. He dropped off a bunch of samples for us to pick. I had been thinking about landscaping my yard but kept putting it off because it sounded like too much work. This time, I jumped in and made the call. Kelly Kasper, the Design Consultant, was out in a day or two. He listened to my ideas and drew up a plan with my complete"wish list," but also, one that was within my budget with a plan that I could add-on more components (like rocks and artificial turf) in the future. We had our yard renovated a couple of years ago by a different company. We've had many issues~ water pooling instead of draining when it rained, there were lots of cracks between the pavers and the walkway they put in the front yard was coming apart and could be a hazard to anyone walking on it. We decided to try System Pavers. Anthony was our sales guy. He listened to our issues and came up with a way to fix the problem areas. We also had new work we wanted done ~ we asked them to remove a deck and create a patio, put pathways around our shed and removed the walkway in the front yard replacing it with proper steps. He gave us a few options, and help us design something we could enjoy. Adrian was our project manager ~ he was in constant contact from start to end, making sure we were happy with the work, did we have any questions or concerns (we didn't). He came by almost every day to see how the work was going. He went out of his way to look for pavers to match what we currently had (which he did!). We had worked with a couple of landscape architects and came up with a general idea on what might work for us. We then decided to give System Pavers a call. Why not? Everyone has heard of System Pavers. Eric came out and we were immediately impressed with his knowledge, enthusiasm and open mind. We collaborated and after a couple different iterations we came up with a great plan. Onto the scene comes Adrian and Alex. Adrian was the project foreman and he could not have been better. Always accessible, returned calls, texts and emails promptly. Showed up at least once a week and more if needed or requested. Garrett, project consultant was great, I told him what I wanted, he showed me my options and the choice was mine to make. no hard sales, no sell me more then what I wanted and financing was a breeze. Was able to pick start date and very pleased with entire process. Two days before start date met with project manager Jeremy and Garrett to go over details and any concerns I had. After initial meeting with Garrett I called him back to add on walk way. Otherwise it wasn't going to look as good as it could and I'm glad I did. This is just an example of no hard sales, Garrett could have suggested or mentioned the walk way but, he didn't because I didn't want it in the beginning. After thinking about it more I called him back and asked if it could be added on. It was without any problem. The day work began , crew showed up started the work, they were fast, neat, attention to detail and worked with me to address any changes that needed to be done so overall project would look nice. The 5 STARS- the finished product looks absolutely fantastic, it made a night to day look to the home. Talk about curb appeal, with out a doubt. I recently contacted System Pavers regarding a maintenance issue with a walkway they installed in 2011, approximately 12 years ago. We had observed that the pavers had become uneven, with some sinking more than others, resulting in water pooling along the foundation of our house whenever it rained. Knowing their familiarity with the original installation, I requested their assistance in resetting the sunken pavers and adjusting the walkway's slope to prevent water accumulation near the foundation. Additionally, I inquired about their availability and any potential costs associated with the necessary maintenance work. He visited our house on the same day and informed me that they would be able to perform the required job completely free of charge. Within just a couple of days, their skilled crew arrived on-site, removed the entire walkway, re-sloped the grade, and replaced the pavers, resulting in a walkway that looked as good as new. I was truly impressed by the exceptional work carried out by the System Pavers team. Not only did they promptly address the issue, but they also completed the entire project in just one day. I'd like to acknowledge the exceptional work provided by System Pavers for the new artificial turf installed in my backyard. First, I'd like to thank Kelly Kasper, sales consultant. Kelly did a great job explaining the artificial turf installation process, turf type options, costs and financing. He also suggested that it would be possible to integrate my existing paver area to the left of the new lawn installation to tie it all together. Secondly, I'd like to acknowledge the project manager, Ryan and his construction lead Jose. The demolition, ground prep and installation of the new turf went very well. They kept me informed daily and let me know if any issues had come up. One example was what to do with the existing sprinkler system. I had two options which was to cap all of the water lines or keep one or two open for a drip system along the peripheral of the backyard. Initially, I wasn't sure which option was best and landed on keeping two. During the final turf installation a nail cracked the PVC water line. Both Ryan and Jose responded promptly to fix the issue and test both lines to ensure it was fixed. In summary, I am extremely happy with the results and the great customer service provided by all of the team members assigned to my project. System pavers transformed our dirt driveway into a beautiful oasis. The entire process from start to finish went with great ease. The designer, Sarah, was magnificent and really knew the product and suggested the perfect color and pavers for semi circle driveway and path that would blend perfectly up to the house.  She was so great to work with and incredibly responsive. The work was done within a few days with such quality and overseen by the project manager, Jeremy, who is so knowledgeable and responded right away with questions, and checked in daily to make sure the project was on task and lived up to standards. What we loved about him most is he also really knew everything about construction, electrical, landscaping, drainage and more, so we trusted placement and detail would be perfection.  We loved everything so much, we decided to place more pavers on the side of the house and replace 50-year-old brick that had seen its day.  It looks amazing and now we have another area to hang in the summer and fall. But back to the driveway in the front.. We have received so many kind comments from neighbors and strangers who walk by, and daily texts from friends telling us how awesome it looks. We also really appreciated the different options of financing and fair pricing.  We are extremely happy.
