Outstanding experience, outstanding result. My wife and I are really happy with the new driveways installed by the System Pavers crew. The front of our house looks fantastic and we're getting lots of compliments from neighbors and people walking by. We solicited bids from multiple contractors, ranging from our longtime general contractor (who "had a guy who does pavers") to other paver specialists. Here's why we went with System Pavers and why we can recommend them to other homeowners: --Communication and responsiveness: From the start, our sales consultant, Kelly Casper, was easy to work with. He offered helpful suggestions, explained their process clearly, and responded promptly (sometimes immediately) to any question via text or email. That same level of clear communication and responsiveness carried through with our project manager, Oscar Maciel, who is a consummate professional. --Knowledge and skill: Our project wasn't simple and we had a lot of decisions to make and challenges to solve during the process. For example, our two driveways are at slightly different levels, which required careful consideration with leveling and drainage. We also deliberated about whether we wanted a single or double border. I'm a very hands-on client and asked lots of questions. Oscar troubleshooted everything with me, explained all my options, and we came up with the right approach. When we changed our minds mid-project about the height of the divider wall between driveways, Oscar worked with Yobel, the construction lead, to make the changes without disruption. Our backyard project was complete in under 3 weeks! Long review: We had the pleasure of working with Design Consultant, D'Andre and Project Manager, Ryan. These two guys restored my trust in the construction and customer service industry as several past experiences with other companies left me scarred and afraid to do business with anyone. I started an inquiry on Yelp at 6am and was scheduled an appointment for the same week, all before 7am without any issues. My husband took the morning off to be at the appointment so we appreciated D'Andre's punctuality. In fact, he was punctual to all subsequent appointments which spoke volumes to us, as respecting others' time is something we greatly value. He was respectful to our space, professional, and knowledgeable. He produced a 3D rendering and quote the same day and set realistic expectations. He offered various suggestions to tweak our design to fit our budget. We had reservations about turf so he stopped by on a different date to bring us samples we could see and feel to ensure we were comfortable with what we were purchasing. Additionally, he took us on a stone yard visit so we could get a real life visual representation of the pavers we were selecting. This proved to be an important step because we ended up selecting a different size, finish and determined the orientation that they would be laid in. He was always so patient with us as my husband and I didn't always agree on selections. He was super responsive and was always a text or call away -- even with welcoming a new baby into the world! Our HOA kicked our design application back 3x, which was incredibly frustrating, but D'Andre was literally there every step of the way updating things promptly to ensure our project wouldn't be stalled. Once we obtained HOA approval, a pre construction walkthrough was scheduled with our Project Manager, Ryan. I met with Ryan and D'Andre for the walkthrough where we confirmed the design plan. Ryan was very personable, professional, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. He happily answered all my questions and set the construction timeline expectations. He encouraged me to do a quick walkthrough each night and let him know if there was anything off so he could address it immediately. He was very communicative and sent me daily progress pictures and/or videos with thorough updates. One of the biggest things that stood out to me about Ryan -- and I deeply respect him for it-- is that I sent a photo of the turf and asked about seam visibility early in the project and he DID NOT gaslight me at all! Rather, he reassured me that after the project was complete it would look better and he was right. He was very responsive and was always a text or call away. He even provided us with measurements and made recommendations on where we could get rocks from to fill our walkways and back wall. His team also did a good job with keeping the job site clean. A few other things came up, but they were quickly resolved with minimal impact on the construction timeline. We did have to incur some extra costs; however, they absorbed some of it and also paid to have our retaining wall bench go one row higher, which we initially had to cut out our budget. So that was a wonderful surprise! All in all, our experience was great and their process is so seamless and easy. I would not hesitate to do business with them again! I've used them two times and they never completed my third attempt to use them. My first installation for backyard pavers went awful. Delays and went beyond what they could deliver in the time promised. A lot of this fell on the workers who were being stretched thin on help and vehicles. I tried a second time for driveway pavers. Installation went well however when I had some issues with the work and quality of materials, nobody ever got back to me. I tried social media, their web site, and calling. My third attempt was to schedule a new installation and just tell whoever would contact me I just needed the pavers reset and some of the cracked ones replaced. Someone came out. Took measurements. Said they'd send me an estimate. Crickets. So I am no longer using them or recommend them to anyone who wants a warm body to work with. All three interactions have been with different area people who seem like they have no idea how things work. I wound up ripping out the pavers and having stamped concrete instead. More reliable, cheaper, and the company I went with follows through. read more

System Pavers Installed a large paver patio in my backyard complete with some beautiful rounded steps up to my sliding doors. I was hesitant for years not knowing how to get started and wanted a company that could account for the uncertainties during installation with ease and, Adrian as my Project Manager and Anthony as my Designer, completely followed through. The laborers are very skilled but need a lot of guidance and can be challenging with their lack of English. At first was on top of them about the details or specifications since they had hard time getting it right which started to get stressful wondering if they are out there making mistakes. But shortly into the project I learned the Adrian would make them redo anything that wasnt to my liking and within reason such as details on how the existing pathway meets the pavers or specifications to get my pergola footers in the exact location and height. At one particular moment the pattern of the pavers was blending together and becoming distracting and Adrian had them lift some of the pavers and shuffle them. Anthony as my designer totally had my energy and was not afraid to iterate on designs until I was satisfied. We spent so much time prior and during installation picturing my future pergola installation and his persistence patience with me in that did not go unnoticed. During installation he even visited to nitpick about a pavers shape or a tiny chip and that made me comfortable knowing they also looked at my patio as if it was their own. If you go with System Pavers lean into your PM and don't fret. They will follow through, bring the laborers back out if they have to, and get it right. They might be expensive but that attention to detail made me felt I was getting my money's worth and exactly what i needed to make this my dream patio. read more

This is my second experience with System Pavers. My original project was completed, as expected, many years ago. We were very happy with the results and have enjoyed our outdoor living space tremendously. Three weeks ago, we returned from a weekend trip to find a water pipe had leaked under the paver deck. We had our pavers and light package installed 3 years ago and we have been so happy with system pavers. The electricity went out about 2 weeks ago an I had been unable to reset the "Brilliance smart socket" lighting app. I called System Pavers and was immediately contacted by Ryan Travalini the project manager. He came to our home and we tried to figure it out, when we couldn't, he immediately said no problem the smart socket needs to be replaced, I can go get another one and install it for you later today, its covered under your warranty. Updated review Redoing our rather large front yard and driveway was a dream come true. We love how it looks and have received quite a few compliments. Now, here's a very honest review. 5 stars for workmanship: care and thought was taken each step of the way. The workers were super respectful and did their best always to help us be able to get in and out easily during the work, kept the area tidy and made sure to confirm with us if there were any questions that arose . 1,000,000 stars for Adrian O'Donoghue, our project manager. Adrian visited the project almost daily and was readily available by text or phone call. This was such a peace of mind. His communication was amazing and his willingness to make sure any blips were addresses was impeccable. Now, outside of his control was the fact the designer/sales manager told us our front step would be "taken care and wrapped into the deal" but we were then told it would be another $3800 upon the project starting. This whole experience would have felt so much better if the bottom line had been the bottom line. Granted, I appreciated all his help in implementing our ideas into a design but this left us uneasy. So, would I work with them again, yes. All of the aforementioned made it a wonderful experience. However, this latter issue was disheartening and I am a person of my word so I must fully review the great and the "do better next time." The consultation is free, the design process is included, just make sure you are guaranteed there won't be any hidden costs/surprises. My experience with System Pavers started off extremely frustrating. Our first project manager provided little to no oversight at the beginning of our backyard project. Everything moved painfully slow, communication and support were almost nonexistent, and several quality issues came up. The turf was poorly stitched together, some of the pavers were uneven, and we were even told we needed to pay for services that we had already paid for. At that point, I was very disappointed and frustrated with the company overall. Things completely changed when Oscar Maciel became our new project manager. He was a total 180 from the previous experience and truly took ownership of the project. Oscar showed up every day to ensure everything was going according to plan, listened carefully whenever I raised concerns, and addressed issues immediately. We originally used System Pavers to transform our driveway 19 years ago. They did fantastic work that drastically increased our curb appeal and the value of our home. We called them back recently to help us repair several stones that PG&E damaged when they dug a massive trench to increase the power to our house during a major remodel. They were very responsive and professional. Adrian O'Donoghue came out to provide the quote and he was fantastic. He advised on resetting the stones as well as professionally cleaning the stones, replacing the sand and sealing. I got a prompt written quote at a very reasonable price. He communicated clearly and honestly throughout the project, which only took a few days to complete once they started. After the damaged stones were reset I could not tell that there was any damage. Once the entire driveway was cleaned, sand replaced and sealed my driveway looked exactly like it did during the initial installation nearly 20 years ago. The workers were courteous, communicative and respected my property. These days its hard to find professional, personalized service from a contractor who won't try to gouge you. We had worked with a couple of landscape architects and came up with a general idea on what might work for us. We then decided to give System Pavers a call. Why not? Everyone has heard of System Pavers. Eric came out and we were immediately impressed with his knowledge, enthusiasm and open mind. We collaborated and after a couple different iterations we came up with a great plan. Onto the scene comes Adrian and Alex. Adrian was the project foreman and he could not have been better. Always accessible, returned calls, texts and emails promptly. Showed up at least once a week and more if needed or requested. Engaging, smart, understanding just a few of his qualities that made the job go smoothly. Alex was the on-site foreman and he was great as well. Kind, honest, thoughtful and always did when and what he said they would do. His crew was great as well. Polite, hard hard workers, extremely skilled and cleaned up the job site at the end of the day. Most jobs have a few issues and ours was no different. Our issues revolved around permitting issues which were all on us and had nothing to do with SP. it created unwanted delays which were beyond SP's control. We had System Pavers install beautiful pavers in our driveway and courtyard in 2010. We recently had an issue with a cracked cover over the lighting fixture. Still impressed by their service after 14 years! Patrick Ambrose, project manager went above and beyond with helping us replace the cover. They have a 25 year warranty on their product and Patrick was able to locate the cover and personally delivered to our home. Last week had driveway and walkway replaced by System Pavers. 4 work days for job start to finish. Could not be happier with work. Started with Lidiana who was designer. Very knowledgeable and friendly. Once signed contact had many more questions and she responded back in minutes to my text. Job scheduled around our availability. Next was Project manager Adrian. Always kept me in the loop on updates and projected plans. Work came out great. My advice to future customers is listen to Designer on picking materials. Plus go see stone that has been set. She told us this but at first did not listen. She convinced us to go to stone yard and see exact stone we picked. Thus changed from very White to much better color. Should have listened first time.
