Seka Hills!! What a unique place! I hadn't been in a few years, but was looking for something unique for my mother-in-law's birthday and remembered this place! It's a fantastic "stop" if you're headed to Winters for dinner at Buckhorn! Seka Hills is located in Capay Valley, deep in the rural part of Yolo County. It's in a town called Brooks and is next to Cache Creek (Native American casino). Getting there from Sacramento is definitely a journey!! But the drive is nice and relaxing once you pass Woodland. There are two ways to get there- you can either take I-5 to CA-16 W or you can take I-80 to 113 and "cookie cut" your way through. Either way it should take about an hour from Sac, depending on traffic. My wife, mother-in-law, and I opted for the I-5 route as that's more of a straight shot while avoiding people headed to the Bay Area. Seka Hills is BEAUTIFUL, both inside and out. Especially on an 80 degree day... it's heavenly and EXTREMELY relaxing. The property overlooks rolling hills and has a "still" to it that reminds me of rural Andalusia, Spain. Incredibly calming. Parking is abundant and there is an inside and outside area. The outside tables are reserved for wine tasting and charcuterie. But the inside area is gignatic and stunning! Seka Hills is famous for their olive oils and balsamic vinegars. But they also do wines, honey, almond butters, snacks, and more. They offer complimentary tastings of all their oils and vinegars, which we gladly partook in. Their olive oils include Arbequina (meant for baking, marinading, sautéing, roasting, and dipping), Picual (enhancing salads, vegetables, fish, chicken, and meats), Frantoio (dipping and finishing oil), Taggiasca (butter replacement), and their Tribal Blend (salad and cheese enricher). And they sell three balsamic vinegars: Elderberry, Fig, and Pomegranate. We loved EVERY single olive oil and vinegar, which made it extremely difficult to pick what to purchase. My wife and I ended up with their Arbequina olive oil and Pomegranate vinegar. Whereas my mother-in-law bought their Picual oil and Elderberry vinegar. She also purchased some of Seka's honey as the patron let her try some. Mind you while we were tasting we were sipping on some glasses of wine: their 2016 Tuluk'a Red Blend. Seka lets you walk around the facility with your glass, or you can sit inside/ outside. I really enjoy the wine tasting facilities that allow for such flexibility, as I'm the type who struggles to sit still for long periods of time (lol, where my fellow 90s babies at?) Seka Hills also sells nuts, sandwiches, souvenirs, cooking utensils, and much more. You can also view their oil mills in the back of the facility through giant plexiglass. If you're fascinated by how olive oil is made, you will be impressed! We spent about 45 minutes here because we had early dinner reservations, but easily could've spent longer while sitting outside and enjoying the views and "stillness." While my family loves going to Wine Country in Napa Valley, some times it's nice to mix things up and go somewhere a little more local. As I mentioned earlier, it is definitely a trek to get here. But if you're looking for a UNIQUE experience and want some world class olive oil, vinegar, and wine, this is the spot for you! Additionally, Seka Hills just opened up a tasting room in Midtown Sacramento in the "Ice Blocks." So if you wish to get oil/vinegar you can always pop in to that location as it's extremely nearby and centrally located. However, there's just something so relaxing and charming about their rural Yolo County spot. I hope I gave readers an idea of how to please their mother-in-laws (lol)! But all joking aside, I HIGHLY recommend Seka Hills. They have some of the best olive oil and vinegar in the game, and this location is specularly impressive and chill. A++++++

Seka Hills is a peaceful hidden gem in Capay Valley, just across from Cache Creek Casino. The tasting room is beautifully designed with rustic-modern vibes, local goods, and views of the working olive mill. I did a tasting flight of four wines and especially loved the Tuluk'a red blend -- smooth and delicious. I also sampled the Sauvignon Blanc, which was crisp and perfect for a warm day and I brought a bottle home with me The food was a pleasant surprise -- I had the Capay Banh Mi Pastrami sandwich and seasonal pasta salad. Both were flavorful and satisfying. I lounged on the shaded patio while enjoying live music, which made the experience even more relaxing. I do wish there was more storytelling about the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, who own and operate the property -- that cultural connection would have added depth to the visit. Customer service was okay, but not particularly engaging. Overall, a beautiful spot to sip, unwind, and savor the day

Beautiful property, surrounded by an orchard of almond trees and olive trees. The Seka Hills tasting room is also absolutely gorgeous. They sell wine, olive oils, balsamic vinegar, almonds, and accessories (books, utensils, decorations, etc). Plus, there are outdoor tables where you can enjoy wines and light bites sandwiches, salads, snacks). On our visit, there were only 2 ladies at the counter who were ringing up orders as well as pouring wine for tastings. Unfortunately, this caused a bottleneck in getting orders out to those sitting outside (like us and the other tables near us) and they had a difficult time fulfilling the wine tastings (I had to ask for my 2nd pour and walked from outside to the counter inside for the 3rd and 4th pours). On the positive side, the ladies were hustling and another lady was providing olive oil/balsamic vinegar/honey tastings at a counter inside). I enjoyed the wine pours though plus the veggie sandwich and Italian sandwich were both tasty. I ended up buying 2 bottles of wine, 3 bottles of balsamic vinegar, and a bottle of olive oil.

Stopped here today during the Almond Blossom Festival and it was such a treat. Beautiful venue with really good sandwiches ( we loved the turkey one- yum), delicious olive oils and vinaigrettes- elderberry and pomegranate were amazing. They also have olive oil ice cream which is unique- not our personal favorite though. The folks here are very nice and provide attentive service, a little aggressive on the sales. I only say this because I was asking for a sample of the ice cream, as I saw a young lady give one to another customer and the lady at the register kept insinuating that I had to buy a pint or a giant scoop ( finally did get our sample). Anywho, we ended up with some Olive oil, pomegranate vinaigrette, and our sando. They also had live music, vendors and food trucks onsite. It was absolutely lovely (even with the unexpected rain)!

Lovely place to stop if you're in the Capay Valley for olive oil tasting, wine tasting or a nice lunch out. We ate lunch here and did also tasted delicious olive oils and balsamic vinegar. Pomegranate, fig and elderberry balsamic vinegars are all amazing! Artisan sandwiches are fabulous; made with Uber fresh ingredients and very delicious. Located almost right across Highway 16 from Cache Creek Casino and Resort.

Great experience! I called a week in advance to book a party of 12 - 10 adults & 2 toddlers. They had the gazebo area for us. The Sandwhiches were delicious and huge! Super fulfilling. The ambiance was peaceful. I could hear the birds chirping. It was super relaxing and not busy at all, we were there on a Sunday. The customer service was the BEST! I loved that children and dogs were allowed. It's a great place for families. I would definitely come back. Also, the wine tasting was super affordable. $15 for 4 wines, or FREE with a wine bottle purchase. :)

Visited the Séka Hills Tasting Room in Brooks and it was beautiful and scenic! We did the tasting of reds, which if memory serves correct, was $15 a person and is waved if you buy a bottle! The cold sandwiches were delish! The beef jerky was quality as well. The olive oil tasting is complimentary. I didn't have a chance to try the olive oil ice cream, but I'll definitely be back! And it's near the casino if you're into that vibe.

My friends & I have always wanted to stop by here & we were so happy that we did. There were a variety of items to purchase; different foods/drinks, kitchenwares, lotion/soap, & gift sets with olive oils & wine. Each of the employees were super nice & offered free wine or oil tastings. We ended up doing the oils tasting - 3 olive oils, 3 balsamic, 2 almond butters & their honey. It was a great experience & it had beautiful views of the hills & olive trees surrounding & the tasting room/shop area was grand. We'll be back another time to try some of their wines! I definitely recommend this place.

Since we were in the area thought we would stop by and check out their latest olive oil and wine. It was a nice afternoon so sat outside and enjoyed the wine and then tasted the oils. Ended up buying 3 bottles of their Olive Oil and some tasty cookies to end the day with. Love the couches and fire pit outside and plenty of room inside. Staff always greet you when you walk in and always ask their favorites since they try the products.

Wanted to explore what this place had to offer. As a first timer me and the bf went to take a trip here. As we drove up the this place I thought it had a beautiful feel to it. They also had I believed to be some olive trees and and old looking truck as we pulled in. We walked inside and started looking around a young lady approached us as she was very friendly her name was Louha. She was very knowledgeable and helped us with your wine tasting. They have many different wine clubs to choose from and a beef club as well. They also have a nice store inside with lots of goodies to buy. Oh and olive oil tasting and food you can purchase to eat as you do your day drinking as well. I will give this place 5 stars which I rarely give but the nice friendly lady had such great customer service. This is what you call 5 stars. She approached us in a timely manner and help us every step of the way. With making us wait to long. Thank you again you made our visit that much more special.

We had been to Seka Hills Midtown Sacramento location before, but never to their tasting room in Brooks. It's worth the drive from Sacramento: what a fun afternoon. The location is beautiful, with seating indoors and on the patio. You have an option to olive oil/vinegar taste (free) or wine taste ($15 per person). We decided on both. Their olive oils and vinegars are really fun to taste and it is a unique experience. The wine tasting includes a flight of four wines. If you end up buying a bottle, an individual's tasting is free. Employees are helpful, personable and incredibly pleasant. While very knowledgeable about the olive oils and vinegars, they didn't seem to have the exact level of knowledge on their wine blends. The tasting room also includes a wide variety of merchandise, making it a fun time to also just browse. And you can't beat a drive up to the Capay Valley on a sunny afternoon. Definitely a somewhat hidden gem.

While we thoroughly enjoyed the vinegar and olive oil tasting, we weren't really impressed with the wines. Seka Hills is a chic tasting room located in Yolo wine country just down the street from Cache Creek Casino Resort. Their tasting room is super stylish with modernly rustic décor. The interior space is very airy and spacious with a great view of their stainless-steel barrel room. Seka Hills also comes equipped with a deli and front patio seating. Melissa assisted us in the tasting room and she was absolutely fantastic! We started off with a vinegar and olive oil tasting. When I tell you that every single olive oil and vinegar tasted amazing! Melissa explained the flavors perfectly and offered some great ways to use and pair the oils and vinegars. We liked them so much that we all ended up purchasing some. I purchased the starter pack which offers a variety of 3 olive oils and 3 vinegars. The fig and pomegranate balsamic vinegars are my favorite! They make the perfect additives for homemade salad dressings and sauces. The olive oils are all super high quality. I would definitely come back for more olive oils and vinegars. I can't forget to mention their delicious hummus too! Melissa treated us to a special taste of their hummus and it was absolute exquisite. Their wines were a completely different story though. This was one of the rare occasions when none of us liked ANY of the wines (hence the 3-star rating). In fact, these were the worst wines that we tasted during our Yolo wine country wine tasting tour. Very unfortunate because everything else was wonderful. Since it was warm out, we decided to taste their rose and white wines. Everything we tasted was overly oaked. Even the viognier and rose tasted extremely oaky. It tasted like the wines had been opened for a few days and had been left sitting in the sun for too long. That pour bucket got some heavy use that day. Besides the terrible wines, we actually had a fun time here. I wouldn't be opposed to giving them another shot in terms of the wine, but I'd highly recommend stopping by to try their olive oils and vinegars if you're in the area.

The olive oil ice cream is PERFECT. Absolutely perfect. The pomegranate balsamic and sea salt makes it even more perfect. The staff hosting the olive oil and balsamic tasting were very nice and fit in our samples right before they closed. Loved the decor and ambiance inside and outside. So so good, highly recommend if you're in the area.

I'm guessing wine tastings are mainly what the vineyard offers, but it would've been nice to have the choice explained first. This is where my 2/5 stars comes in. They only had one person serving about 12 tables. My party was only a group of 2, but there were other tables with groups as large as 9 people. It literally took 25 minutes to receive my second pour, and the only reason we got it was because I had to remind the staff. I think having at least two people pouring wine would make the experience much smoother. Upon arrival, they also have a small parking area for non-reserved parking. Luckily, we were able to find a close spot. As for the restroom, personally I'm not a fan of unisex bathrooms, and they also did not have seat covers available. Overall, the staff was friendly, but the service and organization could definitely be improved. Apart from all this, I have visited multiple wineries in Livermore, which is closer to the Bay Area, and their wine bottles are much cheaper. Their wine tasting options are also more affordable. This is just my personal experience and opinion overall I don't think I would consider coming back.
