    Fish & Chips.

Got to spot a little before they opened, but they welcomed us in and took care straight away. Very friendly and attentive. Had the local beer and fish and chips. All was great. Not too much batter on fish, which was great.

Joe Watty's was our pub-and-grub home base when we visited Inishmoor -- and what a joy it is. It's a proper pub, nothing fancy, with wooden tables and a fireplace and black-and-white photos strung up on the walls. Over the course of two days, I tried the seafood chowder, the carrot soup, the goat cheese salad, and the bowl of mussels. The food isn't cheap, but it's good and hearty. The best part of this place is the ambiance. There's something about Joe Watty's -- the warmth? the cheery vibe? the hospitality? -- that makes you want to stay forever. Maybe it's the trad music that starts at 8pm. Or the fact that this was the only establishment serving hot food, which meant all the B&B residents on this side of the island were clustered here for a pint. Regardless, every time we sat down, we ended up staying for ages, chatting to folks, listening to music, trading beer with strangers. We also went through the entire gin list (it's a long one!), and then some. (Be sure to try Bertha's Revenge, by the way, which is distilled from milk whey and named after a legendary 48-year-old cow. Absolutely delicious.) Joe Watty's is an easy place to settle into for the evening. A simple, small-town delight. We probably spent a cumulative 11 hours here over the course of two days, and we're glad we did.

Good potato leek soup! We were here on a blustery day and walked back up the hill after our tour ended just to see what this place was all about. They were playing good toons and it was packed when we got there. Due to how many people were there they had to close the kitchen - not really good business practice but if you only have two servers then I guess you have to do what you have to do. Fortunately the bartender realised his error in seating us with menus without letting us know the kitchen had closed and offered us soup. The hearty potato leek soup was everything I could have hoped for that cold day! It was a large portion of thick and savory potato leek soup - wish I had the recipe! We left here feeling warmed up and ready to brave the winds for the walk back down to the ferry.

the atmosphere was super cozy inside and they had a furnace which was so nice to sit by. very quaint and food was good!

A quaint comfortable bar with a healthy mix of tourists and locals, Ti Joe Watty's is one of the better bars/restaurants on the island. At the end of your bike tour across the Aran Island of Inishmore, Ti Joe Watty's is the place to end up. Bike parking is across the street and the bar/restaurant is located at the top of a gradual hill to the harbor, so even if you down a few pints you can coast back to your bike rental place. My girlfriend and I ended up here after biking across the island, and the beer selection was excellent. Apparently the live music scene here is the best on the island if you're staying overnight, but sadly we weren't able to experience it. Overall, the optimal place to rest and drink before your boat ride back to the mainland.

A nice place to pull up on your bike. And they stock MacIvors cider. Sitting out the front in nice weather with a cool cider watching island life go by is bliss after a long long cycle. Inside is nice enough, just don't unwittingly sit where the band goes cos you'll be unceremoniously moved. Service at the bar seemed to favour locals on a few occasions. Staff had differences of opinion on booking a table for the next evening when we enquired. And when asked about their dinner taxi service that we had read about on their menus, they were completely disinterested. I reckon that applies when numbers to the island are low. It was eventually established there were no tables left. Which was fine, but staff should all be on the same page, saves time for everyone involved. Over all worth a visit, if you can let a few things slide. I mean it's not everyday you see a man walk his horse passed a pub carrying a load of hay.

Mussels. Huge potion but they were luke warm:(

A welcoming, cozy pub full of locals. And plenty of tourists as well. I ordered the mussels, it was a huge portion (16 euro) but it did not come with bread or fries, so had to order those on top of it. The mussels, although tasty, were luke warm, so I devoured them in record speed before they went stone cold. This is a real Pub grub kind of place- and no fresh produce, I think if I'm back on Inishmor I would go here for a few drinks (live music was great fun) but will find another place for dinner.

Good food and music as well, it was a single man show but with a good athmosphere! And a bit less chaotic than harbour's places
