When you call you speak directly to him. Yes I own a Gator Pit. I have owned it for a couple years now. I am 100 percent satisfied. Couldn't be happier. These pits are built 1 at a time, old school style. Hand made by skilled craftsmen with hand tools, welders and torches. The craftsmanship, fit and finish, and detail is 2nd to none. There are no compromises or cost cutting with these pits. Everything is heavy duty, thick steel, doors shut tight, oil field quality welds. If you take care of these pits your great, great grandchildren will be cooking on it. Just keep the rust away. That's it. Gator Pit got some bad reviews in the past couple weeks from a bandwagon of forum readers that don't own a gator pit, don't know anyone that does, nor have ever even corresponded with Gator Pit. That's a shame, and a shame that some people have so little integrity.

How come it took another solid week for them to blame the problem they created on on a perfectly good computer? It's a copout and an excuse for laziness and scam artists. These people will take you for a ride and blame problems that their mechanics cause on supposed failing parts that DO NOT NEED TO BE REPLACED! They will tell you 1 to 2 weeks to fix but 3.5 weeks later, they will start the job. The problems go from tested and verified to 'no' it wasn't that part being the problem.. The only negative thing I have to say is their wait time. For the lift, they were pretty busy despite haveing a scheduled appointment. That and the very poor wifi connection in the shop with no cell service was hard to do anything productful. I ended up having to leave my truck there over night since I had prior obligations, my appointment started at 8am but I wasn't told it wouldn't be finished until 4-5pm until 2hours into appointed time. When I arrived for the appointment I was told it would take an hour to an hour and a half and they were spot on. The only downside of the wait time was the designated space they have for waiting. A handful of chairs in the back of the front showroom. A TV or a water cooler/coffee maker would substantially upgrade the comfort level, but alas they are new as assumed by the "now open" flags flying outside, so they get a pass for that. All in all I highly recommend VIP for hitch install over UHaul who said it would take a couple of weeks.

Quoted $2,118 just for coils (parts costs). Quoted over $2,000 for a partial tune-up (2 coils). I found the parts online, 8 coils, 16 spark plugs, wires for $192-$550(performance). I can have it done at the dealership for far less or I can do it myself! Median range for this job is way less. I guess you could use them for diagnostics. Feel like Kacal's is way overcharging.
