This company did all the Diamond Peak homes in St. John. Take a ride over there and see for yourself. You will notice some lawns look really nice and some are just awful - weeds, dead grass, spots not growing. T&J graded some lawns properly and many others just either sprayed seed over or laid down sod. No proper grading. Believe me I have pictures and videos at over 5 houses around me they did. ALL DIFFERENT!!!! I understand some pay extra for sod, but this is just the basics of grading. They rushed and didnt care. Its amazing watching all these houses lawn being done so different by the same company. They grade some so nice and others like I said keep it uneven surface and just throw seed down. I've seen T&J's work around the area and it looks really good. Decided to call them for a quote to re-grade the land around our property and re-do most of the landscaping. This potentially is a $10k - $15k project. Called them three times in the span of a few months and each time they told me to call another number. Did that. Still no call back. If I could give it 0 I would!!! They installed the sprinkler system at our new home and they clearly don't know what they're doing!! They installed and set up sprinkler zones with no regard to location. Sun/shade areas are on the same zone so the shade area floods just to keep the sun area alive.. I've had to replace landscaping because of it. When you call them out to adjust sprinklers they tell you it's to windy.. just the worst!! Several of our sprinkler heads are sticking up out of the ground above the lawn and we've broke 1 already hitting it with the mower. They want to charge us for it!! Avoid at all costs!!! read more

HORRIBLE! Not recommended for commercial, nor industrial jobs. I now understand the difference between a state credited company like 'Groen Maintenance' or 'C&T Landscape' and the shabby customer service by T&J. Buyer Beware and BE CAREFUL!!! T&J seem understaffed and overbooked. So if you hire them for a project...it will likely get postponed, time and time again. And you'll need to keep calling them to be sure they can get to your job. I'm a reasonable guy and understand schedule conflicts happen, but T&J is consistently delayed and have the attitude that they're doing YOU, the customer, a favor by actually starting/completing your job. New management is morphing the company into one with poor attitude, lazy work ethic and lack of courtesy. I wasted weeks trying to work with T&J, and then when they finally got around to scheduling my job, I took the day off from work and called to confirm start time, only to be told "We can't do your job today, cause we're busy". Since I signed contract and put 50% down weeks, if not months ago, T&J did tell me "you can have your $ back". I FIRED them and eventually got my money back, but what T&J failed to realize is time is money. How do I get that back??? read more

We have been extremely unhappy with this company. Terrible products, very poor installation, extremely unprofessional customer service, no follow-up contact. We have been trying for nearly 2 years to have them satisfactorily complete our service with no success. We have tried to contact them several times by phone, email, text, and US mail and they have never returned our contacts. Can't understand why they are still in business????? read more

We have been extremely happy with T&J Landscaping. We decided to use their services this year, as the price was about the same as buying the materials and doing it ourselves. We got quotes from all the large fertilizer companies, but T&J came in the same. The man who actually lays the fertilizer is very polite, and he always goes above and beyond. There were grass clippings on our patio from mowing the day before. He actually blew the patio clean before he left.. keep in mind we only pay for the fertilizer applications. We would recommend then to anyone! read more

The customer service here and the lack of consideration for the customer are severely lacking. Last year both appointments that I had scheduled with them required me calling the office to inquire about where they were and why they haven't shown up yet. My last appointment I had with them a couple weeks ago was scheduled a month prior to my date of appointment and once again they were no shows. I called the office only to be told that they were VERY busy at another job, like I was supposed to have sympathy for them! So the office KNEW that the crew was busy and held up, yet they do not call the customer waiting to inform them. They rescheduled me for 2 days later only for the same thing to happen again. NO SHOW. I called yet again to be told they were finishing up jobs from the day prior. Again, none of this is MY problem yet I keep having to call to find out where the crew is. They ask if I want to reschedule again and I decline. The office staff stated that the crew isn't responsible for contacting customers if they are running late!! To which I replied that if they know a crew is held up elsewhere that it's proper customer service for the office to call and let the customers know!! This concept seemed very foreign to them and they stated that they simply don't do that and that customers are the ones who call to find out why no one has showed up to service them yet!! Seriously? That in my opinion is HORRIBLE customer service which is why I'm moving on to another company. Countless days and hours spent waiting only for no one to show up. I would skip this company and find irrigation/landscaping services from someone else who actually cares about their customers. read more

Yet another amazing project completed by T&J David Davidson project manager. David has a good eye for placement of your choice of plantings, just be patient and everything will turn out just fine. The crew is very knowledgeable and gets the job done rain, shine or heat! We plan on using them for all of our future projects hands down. This company is extremely unprofessional and provides horrible service and product. They installed a brick paver patio in our backyard that looked horrible. They tried "fixing" the look of it by powerwashing it and sealing it, but made it much worse. The owner, John Schilling, agreed that is was not correctly done but it took them 2 years of phone calls to finally start to replace it. However, they have not finished the replacement and the bricks are a mess. Again, they are not returning phone calls and now we are left with a half-finished horrible looking patio. I would not recommend this company to anybody. read more

I NEVER put reviews on Yelp or other online sources/websites so this tells you how HORRIBLE T & J Landscape is and how ANGRY we are with their lack of professionalism & customer service!!!! I agree with Zo W.'s review completely!! The owner informed me via email after my husband and I made multiple phone calls to his billing department that "I regret I cannot help you at this time by replying by phone, but please feel free and reply to this email to let me know what it is we can do to finally fix all of your issues in this matter. I do have my email available on my phone and check it frequently during the day. I am extremely busy with meetings most days, along with the landscaping and commercial landscape crews." He sent out an employee to our house shortly after this email to fix a spray head and take pictures of our burnt grass that T&J burned; dead shrubs they were to replaced 2 months ago; continued weeds in areas of our grass that was not burnt; and an almost dead tree. However, with NO FOLLOW UP phone call, email, or SERVICE!! Once again, I sent him 2 emails within the past week that he claims he "frequently" checks, with no response!! I understand that business owners are busy along with many other people that work a full time job, however this is like stealing 11K from a person. If I was able to make this review a quarter of a star, I would have. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE BUSINESS!! read more

My husband and I hired T&J to grade and seed our yard. Dave did not give us a date as to when they would be out to do so, but told us it would be in a couple of weeks(this was back in June). We killed off all the weeds in the front yard and wanted to do so in the back also. and Surprise(!!!!) they showed up to do our lawn. So we did not have time to kill off the weeds in our back yard. My husband and I were bummed about this but figured... oh well what can you do. Then two days after we had our entire yard done, obviously to no fault of theirs, but a horrible storm came through with hurricane like winds and blew all of the hydroseed that we just paid for into waves on our lawn. Again we were bummed, but according to Dave we were going to to be able to get it reseeded. He told us He would be out again to do so, but to keep watering our lawn so that the grass that did not get blown away could grow. So we did.... for 2 months, and then 2 months later and an extra $200 in our water bill we had horribly patching grass and some really tall weeds in the back especially. So we're waiting, and waiting, and waiting, for him to come out and seed. I saw him at a few other projects and he said he would be out.... he wasn't. finally I call him and tell him I would like him out to our house during the week. he told me he would and STILL didn't come out! I call him up 2 weeks later and asked him what day he would be out. Please give me a date. He told me he couldn't do that but would be out either, Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, or Fri. That weekend my husband I were out walking in the "lawn" and I notice there's rust all over my shoes. come to find out sometime in the last couple of months the water line going to our house was cracked and we've been seeping water out for some time now. I can't prove it was them, but I have a good feeling, so that Monday the water company comes out and digs up the front corner of our yard and guess what day he finally decides to come reseed our yard. yep that day... and they lay the seed down on our tore up yard!!!!!! and to make it even BETTER... this was some cheap dry seed not even the hydroseed that we originally paid for and thought we were going to get. Also there has been SO much erosion from these 2 months that now when my husband mows our grass/weeds his back hurts because the ground is so uneven(it's a riding mower). There went $3000. I DEFINITELY would NOT recommend T&J. read more

Well, let's see...I'll start with the sod: First they laid sod on adjoining property which does not belong to us without our permission and then they had the nerve to charge us extra for that! Next, a section of sod in the back yard never took despite regular waterings from our in-ground sprinkler system - this was most likely due to the improper way the grade was prepared or lack thereof. No black dirt was used; they said it wouldn't be necessary - even over clay?? When we looked under the sod when it was first laid we saw big dirt/clay clods, not finely pulverized soil. After finally threatening them with legal action, they replaced the dying area of sod, however these "professionals" managed to sever our internet cable line and then left the job without telling anyone. They refused our request for assistance to bury a new line despite finally admitting that they were at fault. Invoices to repair/re-bury the new line were sent to them for reimbursement ( a whopping $75) and we are still waiting on a check. Oh, and they also sodded over all of our downspout extension drains. Very small plants were used in the planting beds. A lot of these were also wilted and looked like they might be diseased. No surprise that a substantial amount of plantings died by the first spring. Getting replacement plants under their "warranty" was a hassle to say the least. Replacement plants were also wilted and looked diseased and many soon died after planting. To this day, there are still dead plants, which they have ignored. One area of bed was completely void of any landscape fabric , and consequently, we had weeds galore in this area. The rock they used for ground cover in the beds was so sparsely used that many areas of landscape fabric could be seen through the rock. After we complained about this, and after much more hassle, they reluctantly brought out more rock, however the size of the new rock was substantially bigger than the original and everywhere they placed additional rock was noticeable. We requested that they come back to rake the stone in to make it blend better, but as we came to expect they never came back. It has been a most unpleasant experience dealing with T&J Landscaping and their foreman, Dave. They never called once to say that there coming that day...they would just show up unannounced. Never once received a call from the owner. I guess we'll have to pursue this by other means. Good luck??!! read more
