Where to start?! This is a late review because I just had a baby right after the project was over, and the last 2 months have been crazy hectic. But here we go :) Background: Our family house has never been renovated since we bought it over 15 years ago. My husband and I were expecting our first child in early July, and we desperately wanted to get our kitchen renovated before the baby arrived. However, we only started looking into remodeling in April, and we were very short on time. We met with several contractors, and we ultimately decided to go with T&N because of the following reasons: 1) We really liked Aidan! He was the most personable and honest of all the contractors we spoke to. We felt comfortable working with him. He didn't make it seem like "business" but he seemed like a next door neighbor who was an expert in remodeling. 2) The estimate was reasonable - not too cheap and not too expensive. Aidan broke down every detail, and we knew when the payments would be due way in advance. 3) Most importantly, Aidan promised us that the remodeling would be done before my due date. All the other contractors we spoke to said that it would be impossible to finish by early July. One even said it would take 6 months...! Once we decided to go with T&N, Aidan guided us in picking out a color theme, style, floors, quartz countertop, backsplash...basically everything because my husband and I have never done any remodeling before. Communication with Aidan was excellent. And I really appreciate the one time that Aidan visited our house (while husband and I were at work) just to check on our dog because the workers said that he was barking in the bedroom. We didn't even ask him to check on our dog. He just did it on his own accord. We really appreciated that. Of course with any big projects, there were some hiccups, delays, and stuff that needed to be checked more than once. But in the end, we were very satisfied with the result. And most most importantly, the project was finished within 6.5 weeks (started in mid May and ended in late June). Our house was built in the 1950s, and the kitchen hadn't been updated since. So, as you might imagine, it was time for a kitchen upgrade. We had heard horror stories from friends who had worked with various contractors and construction companies, so we prepared ourselves for the worst. Thankfully, only the best happened with T&N Remodeling whom we found through Yelp. In fact, besides the typical banging and hammering that come with a remodel, it was an amazing experience. When we met with Aiden for the first time, he explained the entire process from start to finish. He also had some ideas for our kitchen remodel that turned out to be perfect. He was professional, patient, and prompt, ready to answer any questions or concerns we had along the way. Throughout the entire job, Aiden communicated with us daily, telling us what they were working on, who was on their way over, and what the schedule would be for the following day. As with construction, and living through a pandemic, things occur that you can't anticipate (e.g. window delays because of shipping). Here is my experience so Yelp will keep this review for everyone's benefit. We hired Tal and they sent unprofessional handymen to do our project. I had to constantly check their work and found so many things for correction. As a customer, I should not be the one pointing out mistakes. This is the contractor's job. Also I see many reviews calling Aidan a contractor. Aidan is not a contractor, but a salesperson. Check CSLB website and go to Salesperson List. You will see that Aidan's (Idan) salesperson license was issued on 03/07/2022. This should let you know that he has been acting as a contractor illegally and has been an unregistered salesperson since 2020. Lack of integrity and poor work is how I would describe this company. Tal claims on Yelp that they have been in business for 20 years. A quick check on CSLB would inform you that T&N's license was issued on 2/26/2020. Laura's license, the RMO, was issued on 10/07/2019. This should be a RED FLAG to you. (Perhaps they've been in business for 20 years, switching RMOs, closing and opening new companies after they get investigated and disciplined.) I'm writing this review so others would be warned against requesting quotes from T&N Remodeling Inc, its affiliates, and signing a contract with them. All this information is posted on CSLB website. T&N's RMO is Lauren, a therapist. There are two other contractors whose RMO is Lauren. They are D L S Development INC and Buddy Builders Design & Construction Inc. If you check the Personnel List, you will find that the previous RMO for D L S is Joseph. If you dig further in the CSLB website, Joseph's license has been revoked (S Y Construction) with an order to pay restitution in the amount of $132,638.23. Check out the Documents section under License # 925488. Check the Personnel List for Buddy Builders Design & Construction Inc and you will find Ilan's previous company named M K Home Builders Inc. Open Total Construction & Remodeling Inc and you will find it was previously associated with Yoel. Yoel has another complaint with a court order judgment in the amount of $10,320.86. And finally, check out the pending disciplinary action for this company as it matches the 1-star reviews here. Find honest contractors. They do exist. As someone who genuinely pays attention to reviews on Yelp I hope my review can give peace of mind and be helpful to someone else. I've now had a series of various remodel projects done at my home and it's very rare to work with a contractor who is so on top of scheduling and making sure any issues that arise are promptly addressed. I'm not going to pretend that my bathroom remodel went perfectly -- it didn't. There were hiccups. Sometimes that happens, so thats why it's so important to work with a company that stands by their word and their work that you can trust will not leave you high and dry if there are complications. I've been burned by some other contractors and it's very frustrating and confusing when their work for you is in glaring contrast to their positive reviews. T&N, however, have proven to be a company you can count on to be very responsive, do good work, and make sure you're happy. A lot of companies out there make that claim but I can speak from experience that they truly strive to make sure you are satisfied. As I've found with all contractors I've dealt with it's always important and useful to regularly document & take pics of the work being done in case something is missed or overlooked. This is very beneficial to any construction process so that it is clear what is being done... especially when subcontractors are involved. As a bonus it's helpful to know where things are behind the walls when the work is complete so you can reference in the future when necessary... like knowing the actual location of the studs (sometimes stud finders are a pain), and where electric wires and plumbing pipes are (to know where to avoid when drilling into the wall). Throughout the process I would send T&N pics of things I wanted addressed and they would take care of them. If I could offer up some feedback for improvement it would be to encourage them to have more communication between the various guys they sub out and to be more vocal with the homeowner about what the approach will be with certain aspects. Some homeowners are totally fine with completely tuning out what is happening, but many of us like to know and stay informed so making sure to always properly explain to the homeowner what the plan for execution is would add to their devotion to great customer service. I designed my bathroom and chose all of the fixtures, sink, toilet, etc so I can't speak for them on that level, but they were able to make my bathroom look how I envisioned it. T&N's main worker Marlon is awesome. He's such a nice guy and a very hard worker and you can tell he doesn't cut corners. I really appreciated that he walked me through situations and options when an issue arose like when a pre-existing wall wasn't perfectly level that we were installing the sink vanity onto and how to properly address that while making sure it was aesthetically pleasing. Finding the perfect contractor it's like finding the perfect man. It can take years. Over a year of shopping around and browsing for a high end contractor to get our master bath and kids bath remodeled. We met with Idan at our house, from the beginning he exhibit knowledge, patient, Integrity and most important kindness And communicative. I am writing this review sitting at my brand new peninsula waterfall countertop that Idan from T&N inspired me to get. We are so over the moon thrilled with the kitchen renovation we did with them. Idan easily stood out from the beginning with his energy and eye for detail. After interviewing several contractors I chose to go with T&N because I immediately felt there was a level of trust that IDan's expertise and attention to detail easily established. The plan was to finish the renovation before moving in and Idan kept to his timeline! Even though I could not check in on the project everyday because of my work schedule, I could count on Idan to make sure everything was going well. His daily updates were great! I always knew what portion of the project was being worked on and by the end of the day he would send picture updates. I could also text him any time any day and he always promptly replied (tried not to do this too often). renovations are extremely stressful as hiccups and unforeseen issues almost always come up. Even though I had budgeted for this, our big hiccup was having to update the electrical panel. This was potentially a huge obstacle for us but thankfully my contractor was able to work with us and helped us navigate through and we couldn't be happier! UPDATE- so I won in small claims court against T&N. Yay for justice! Tal IS NOT A LICENSED CONTRACTOR. He is operating under the license of someone named Lara Sara Samipur- evidence attached showing this. Anyway in court T&N said lots of baseless lies about me including accusing me of being a porn star to try to discredit me. I am not. And so of course they had no evidence to back that up. Shaming a woman for her choice of occupation is irrelevant to the lawsuit anyway- which was simply T&N hired a sub that broke my 3k stone slab & instead of taking responsibility they chose to try to get away with it so I sued them & WON. The lies they said under oath were full of sexism & misogyny, shaming women for our bodily autonomy & trying to assassinate my character thru lying about me- instead of just taking responsibility for hiring a sub that broke my slab & paying me back for it. They instead chose to try get away with it. Guess they didn't realize they were coming against a very smart woman- further proof of their bad judgment :) In court the judge FULLY SIDED with me- which is a rare verdict- that's how bad these guys are! I've uploaded photos of some things they sent to court about me as well as the judgment I won against them. (You can see how illiterate they are from how they write.) The judge didn't buy a single word from them as she caught them lying in court over & over and awarded me EVERY DOLLAR that I asked for for their negligence & intentional cover up of breaking my stone slab. Also- T&N is currently under investigation by 2 others that I know of by the CSLB. Don't hire them unless you want to end up suing them in court like I did to get them held accountable for their negligence & lies. My wife and I wanted to remodel our bathroom at the beginning of 2022. I started looking in January but soon realized it was way too early. Jump to August/September and we were ready. I sat down with at least 10 different contractors. The prices varied from 15k(too low), to 65k(too high). All the others were right in the middle. The thing that made us go with T and N was Tal's layout design. We gave him an idea of what we wanted and he threw a couple ideas at us. All the other contractors said it wasn't possible. We went with Tal and co. And we were off to the races. His project manager Issac was the contact person. Fast forward to now and we are really happy with our bathroom. His main worker(Victor) was great with the tile work. And Mario(Painter/drywall) was also phenomenal.There were a handful of bumps along the way, but they were handled. I will say this, I wish his communication was a little better with us. But again, we Love our bathroom. Words cannot describe how much I love T&N! Here is my story... I am Danny I'm 40 years old (for context). My wife and I own a 2 bedroom condo here in Westchester. Our unit was originally built in 1979, and to be honest it's barely been updated since then. After several years of saving, we decided to pull the trigger and update our condo by remodeling our kitchen and bathrooms. In addition to those, we also had a handful of odd jobs we needed to take care of, like replacing the shelves in our pantry, fixing our front door and installing new closet systems in the bedrooms. I've worked with other contractors in the past, but no one in the Los Angeles area, so we decided to get a few bids for our project. With so many competing contractors out there, it's really hard to choose one. So I hopped on yelp, found a few construction businesses with great reviews and reached out to them. It was there that I came across T&N. Besides a couple of insanely high bids most of the bids we got were within 10% of each other cost-wise, so rather than chose a contractor based price, we decided to chose based on how much we trusted them to get the job done quickly and at the highest level of quality. It was here that T&N really came ahead. They were clear, upfront and honest about the scope and price of this project. They even made a handful of creative suggestions that saved us a ton of money. The project was managed Aiden who was awesome and easy going. The crew who did the work was absolutely top notch. They showed up promptly and reliably everyday. They cleaned up after themselves and their quality of work was absolutely awesome! One of the wildest things was how fast everything went. They finished our entire job in two weeks. But I'm pretty sure they could have finished everything in a week (if we didn't have to wait on Lowe's for a bunch of the materials). Our remodel is now complete, and we experienced no problems from beginning to end. There were no issues with the money part of things, as all of the payments were clearly laid out at the beginning of the project. So no issues there. I really felt like Aiden cared about our project and wanted it to come out perfect. He made sure to check in with us daily to confirm that we were happy with the progress. And when there were any hiccups (there are always a few in any construction project), he resolved them immediately. Lastly, there were a handful of extras things that we added to the scope of our project after the initial estimate. Like adding new flooring in our closets and replacing all of the electrical outlets in our entire unit. These are things that my wife and I didn't realize we wanted when we initially got our estimate. In general, adding work along the way is where A LOT of contractors will try to take advantage of you.
