New Meadows saved the weekend with a speedy alternator repair turnaround. They found a way to obtain the part and install it in only a few hours on a summer Friday. He is incredibly honest and knows his stuff, and he has a top-notch mechanic working with him. He does not say something is needed unless it is needed. I have saved so much money and worry since I discovered Patrick when I moved to Topsfield two years ago. Going to him is the best decision I have made since moving here. Patrick is kind, understanding, and caring. He gets the job done in a timely way. My car is old, so he could have easily convinced me that I needed stuff done. He is the opposite. He tells me I can wait, to come back to have it checked in a month or two -- at no charge. (I am on a tight budget.) There is still stuff that he checks that have not gotten worse. The car, with 107,000 miles, runs beautifully, thanks to this place. Even when they do an oil change, they check other things, including the tire pressure. I don't even have to ask. They do so much! I did not know Patrick before going there. He was highly recommended by many, many people on the Topsfield Facebook page. They were so right! If you want a mechanic who cares and is ALWAYS honest, someone who will never charge you more than what it should be, and sometimes less, this is the place. Go and see for yourself!

They are honest, fair, and competent. These boys know cars and will always help you out. I'd give six stars if I could. They will take photos of damage or issue areas before repair and text it to you before fixing if you require it. They have text reminders and emails to keep you up on your car before during and after repairs. They have after hour key drop off. When you get your oil changes they do a thorough inspection to find all of the issues you may have and rate them in stop light fashion( super helpful for budget planning your repairs) My family would be in bad shape without these guys. I had a recent experience where I brought my car in that could have been repaired (that's how they get paid), they put it up on the lift and said "it's time" knowing I dumped a lot into it in the last year and this repair would require a lot more. They could have said yeah fix it and out goes my cash, but they didn't they were honest and legit. They would have done the repairs no problem if I had asked but they did what they thought was best for me. It was an aging SUV with 170k and things were getting grim underneath. I would not consider going elsewhere. They take my calls and fix my stuff A freaking plus BOOM!

This was rather surprising as there were no indications of a problem and my car is relatively new. So I went to another mechanic that I trust to have it checked out and he told me there was nothing wrong with the car. He also told me that he sees more and more people coming in after getting their oil checked by Cousins and being told they need all sorts of work done. I also told an acquaintance about my experience and he told me that his mechanic says the same thing - people come in crying because Cousins told them all sorts of things were wrong with their cars and he checks and finds it not true.

It was an older car and I never considered having the engine replaced but the technician reminded me of a recall on my vehicle that I forgot all about, having to do with the engine. They let me keep my car in their lot for about a month with no charge while I tried to work out replacement with the dealer. On another occasion they helped me this winter when my other car started to rattle like crazy after the back to back snow storm. They brought my car into their garage and let it warm up so they could remove snow caked inside the wheel wells. I got an oil change at the same time and they only charged me for that and provided me with a loaner for no charge! Highly recommend this business that takes care of their customers above and beyond compared to most mechanics I have dealt with, absolute 5 star rating!
