They clearly explained the work needed..in my case a ck engine light was flashing on my daughters 2014 Nissan Pathfinder and while suspecting the catalytic converter they suggested a tuneup first hoping that would solve the problem w/o having to replace the converter. A week, 6 spark plugs, 6 ignition coils & $2200 later the ck engine light came back on (something they told me could happen) and I had to have the cat. converter replaced anyway... which I had done @ another shop closer to home that specializes in that type work. No doubt the plugs & coils needed replacing but I just thought $2200 for a tuneup was way too expensive...the garage that ultimately replaced the converter confirmed my thinking telling me I overpaid by about $500 for the tuneup. In summary if you're in a pinch like I was and can't shop around, Two Guys Garage can certainly be trusted to do quality and timely work... just be sure to bring your checkbook cause it's gonna cost ya.

I came to the shop for alignment, an exhaust quote, and maybe smoothing the front rotors. Came out with half an alignment, an exhaust quote, new brake fluid, and other brake work to save up for. The Good: Very friendly, approachable sales and mechanical staff. Lots of show cars and happy customers on display. Reasonable with cost of work and parts. Called me back like they said they would. Clean shop, looks comforting. They did find a brake fluid leak I missed, and didn't give me a hard time about doing that work myself. The Meh: I paid for 4w alignment only to find they just adjusted the front/rear toe. No other shop had trouble with front camber, but this one said it "can't be adjusted on this car". No call to say that, and evasive about whether they tried and lost to rust -- or if they just didn't know it was adjustable. But that's what I paid them for... I guess they also inspected my air filter, because I found it wasn't closed all the way. A sudden extra roaring sound when I left should have been hard to miss. Verdict: My car is 18 years old, and though it looks its age I love it. But I hoped for more than I got from this shop.

The Knowledge and service we receive goes above and beyond expectations. Recently my wife washed our key fob through the laundry destroying the circuit board in the fob making the minivan go crazy beeping, not starting, doors opening, etc. They ordered and reprogrammed the key for our van. We had a flat tire on our car and instead of ordering all new tires they actually repaired the damaged tire at a fraction of the cost. I had a complete overhaul of my 2009 Toyota Venza done by them two years ago because it was stalling out and bad things were starting to happen. I was kind of nervous to have all that work done because the car is up there in miles at 150k+. The Venza has run like a top ever since and I think about all the money they saved me as a result. The car still runs great and I've had to just do basic maintenance ever since. I don't usually write many reviews but these guys definitely deserve it. Overall if you take your car, truck or van there, you'll thank me. The place is clean, the owner John is super friendly, they know what they're talking about and not once have I ever felt like they tried to sell me on something I didn't need, which has not been my experience at many of the other shops. Place is a hidden gem in North Chelmsford.

Doug has rebuilt two of my vehicle's transmissions and kept me updated all the way during the process. He doesn't mind taking in work on short notice, and will get the job done as soon as possible to ensure you aren't stuck without a vehicle. The price is amazing compared to other shops, and the work is guaranteed for a year! Very compassionate about their customers, and will spark conversation instead of acting as a sales person. Chelmsford Diagnostic correctly diagnosed the problem and fixed it saving me literally thousands of dollars. Over the years after that they've found poorly done work on item after item and they've gotten the job done right. One of the biggest was that they fixed a chronic oil leak at an affordable price; the other guys had priced so high that it was completely unaffordable. One of my cars is older and they've helped me make the best "fix it right or patch it for the remaining life of the car" decisions, and safety versus comfort trade-offs. There are shops that will try to upsell you on work you don't need, shops that don't know what they're doing, and shops that are dishonest. This is none of those. Bill is a little gruff but the customer service is exceptional where it counts: Value and honesty for your dollar. We bring our Camry, Altima, and Sienna here.
