I traveled from New York to Maryland for my son's college orientation. The day I was to head back to the college for the closing ceremony and New York, I noticed a liquid leaking from my truck. Thank God T&T Automotive is located across the street from the hotel that I stayed at. I went to T& T, spoke with Adam about the issue, and that I had to get to my son 's ceremony and back to New York today. Adam assessed for the leaking issue and also secured the loose guard cover under the truck. When I asked if there's a charge, he said no. Come here when your other shops can't fix your problem. Adam is the mechanic you always wanted. My forever mechanic was sure my Honda Odyssey had a bad transmission. The transmission shop, after a week, was sure it was an engine problem. Very frustrating. I saw T&T moved to Cromwell Bridge Road near our post office and checked them out on Yelp, stopped in to chat and made an appointment. T&T Auto isn't that easy to find, but worth it when you get there. Down a back alley and near another auto repair spot, T&T opens into a large indoor work area with several car lifts and lots of spare parts ready to go. Adam, the owner, has continued what his dad began over 30 years ago. It's a small staff, just four mechanics, (or do they call them auto techs now?) so make sure to make an appointment, they are usually quite busy. I just got some basic service and was totally happy with Adam and all his techs, an honest mechanic is a beautiful thing. They did the work, made a few suggestions and gave me the reality of what was worth watching and what wasn't. I waited for my car there, altho had my work taken longer than an hour or so, I would suggest leaving the car and picking it up later. There's not much to do out there, altho T&T does have free wifi, so there's that. Oh and there's a couple of big dogs that wander thru the garage during the day, according to my T&T tech, "they come for the treats." Come for the treats, stay for the honest mechanics. read more

I have been taking my car here for about an year. This week went for an axle change. Good price and was in and out in 45min. they test drove it too. Then started a whole new experience and great customer service. As soon as I came out, within 1/4mile, the cv joint on the new part broke. I got a lemon from NAPA. I called tnt, they were really apologetic, took me back to the garage, towed my car back. They got another axle, then Adam the owner suggested that the whole batch could be defective and offered to put in another one from another supplier. I came back in 2hrs, got the new one which looked more solid. They even put half a tank of gas. Drove to pittsburgh, everything looks ok for now. I am totally getting all my future car work done with them. Special shout out to Scott who worked on my car 3 times within 2 hrs. I called to get an estimate for a replaced bumper and spoke with Adam. He was extremely helpful. He let me know that the type of repair I need can be fixed by an auto body shop without replacing the bumper. I've never met such an honest mechanic. He even had recommendations for local shops that does the type of repair I need and which ones were best with customer satisfaction and pricing! Never received such wonderful customer service before. I've taken my car here a few times over the past couple of years and they're great. Very honest about what needs to be done immediately and what can wait, the cost has never been more than what they've quoted (and usually less), and they're pretty quick. Last time I brought my car in, they stayed 2 or 3 hours past their closing time to finish it the same day for no extra charge. They are always easy to deal with, Adam and his father run the shop and I find them to be very professional and reasonably priced. Going into this shop for my first time, I was impressed by the man who seemed to be friendly on the phone. He tells me to come in and he will take a look at an issue I was having with my car at no charge, going in I expected it to be a strut due to the sound my car was making. Once arriving I felt like I was immediately taken advantage of as a woman. Somehow they attempted to make my problem something other than my strut, and something extremely worse. After explaining the situation I feel as though he knew I was skeptical because it would be silly of me to not go and get it looked at or second opinion, after getting a $1600 estimate. Not only did he charge me $15 for "looking at my car" when he told me specifically on the phone it would not be a charge, but come to find out once I went and got a second and third opinion on my car from other shops, and a dealership, it is not the $1600 problem, but simply a strut. Got the strut replaced and my car is running normally. If you are a woman, do not take your car here. ABSURD. read more
