His recommendation was Dan who came out and took a look at all 3 things. Dan was fantastic, gave me costs and showed me the issues then and there. He also looked at my pit in my front courtyard and was able to solve the minor issue at no charge, simple fix. I decided I didn't want my backyard fire pit fixed because the front one is much nicer and now that it is fixed I doubt I will ever use the one in my backyard--another project yay. Will have to demo it one day. Dan then fixed the bbq and it now looks incredible and works great. I have since used it a handful of times with no issues. After only 1.5 years, the unit has already stopped working properly, which is unacceptable for such an expensive investment. Despite following all maintenance recommendations, I've had issues with burner failure, electrical and remote. When I reached out the owner, he was very unhelpful, unresponsive and extremely rude every time I was able to get hold of him. A fireplace should last much longer than this, and I would not recommend HB FIRE PITS based on my experience. If you're considering purchasing from them, I strongly suggest looking into other options or ensuring you get an extended warranty. Also my next-door neighbor also purchase the same fireplace like mine at the same time, and she's been having many problems with the hardware and the owner. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service from HB fire pits, especially from the owner. When my fireplace started having issues, I reached out for repairs and maintenance, expecting professional assistance. Instead, I was met with rudeness, dismissiveness, and a complete lack of concern for customer satisfaction. Rather than standing behind their product and helping to resolve the problem, the owner was unhelpful and unwilling to take responsibility. Calls and messages were ignored or met with short, unprofessional responses. When I finally did get a response, it was clear they were more interested in avoiding the issue rather than actually fixing it. A company is only as good as its customer service, and unfortunately, HB Fire Pits fails in that regard. He was very professional and we had great communication through completion of the project, exchanging multiple email messages and phone calls. The crew was always on time, efficient and responsive to my requests and cleaned up well at the end of each work day. I also retained them to replace my damaged wood sidings and trims. Martin did a great job custom making wood panels for me as my residence is relatively old and no sidings matching the original ones were available in the market.
