Restore Garage designs just completed our garage remodel and I couldn't recommend them more highly. Pricing was reasonable for the custom work, the crew was highly competent, and Jason the owner communicated extremely well throughout the process. We received 3 bids for the work and Restore Design Garages was the mid bid, but I knew they were who we would go with upon meeting Jason. Other places were closet companies doing cabinets, cabinet franchises, or epoxy companies who would order cabinets but clearly didn't have design expertise. Having done a ton of research on garage remodels, cabinets and floorings, I made the decision to go with Jason @ Restore Design Garages. The biggest reason was simply Jason's passion for what he does. In every conversation I had with him prior to booking him, he was always patient, tolerant and polite, and trust me, I was a pain at times. With a gazillion options on what to do in our garage, my main concern was covering up the water heater, furnace and water softener. I noticed lots of pictures of garage remodels and noticed when those items were not hidden, they stuck out big time inside of the beautifully remodeled garages. My wife and I also knew that we do not store a lot of stuff and that the more cabinets we got, the more stuff we would collect. We just wanted enough cabinets to be helpful, yet not so much where we were in the beginning stages of hoarding! This is another company that I would use every time and not bother about getting other quotes. We needed some garage storage in our new house and called Andrew to set up two slat walls and some safe racks. He gave me some discounts for being a repeat customer and also for some referrals. His crew is very friendly and knowledgeable. A few weeks after the work was done, we noticed that the racks were a different size and there was some miscommunication about the size. We wanted two 6x4, but what was installed was two 6x3. I also remembered Andrew saying we could do an 8x4 and a 6x4 and I had not liked that idea and opted for two 6x4. Anyways, I was a bit upset and contacted Andrew, but he was very nice and had his installers come out and swap the racks out and put in an 8x4 and a 6x4 at no extra cost to me. Jason and his Team were excellent from beginning to end! I reached out through his website and received the initial response very quickly, within 24 hours. A phone call consultation was needed as I am located about 2 hours away from RDG's primary service area. Jason was very interested in learning about what I wanted! He took some notes, received very rough measurements from me and sent over a 3D model very soon after. After thinking about the first 3D render and RDGs recommendations and ideas I asked for a second 3D draft, which Jason sent VERY quickly. The 3D model really sold me as it provides different views and angles to review. Then came the discussion of options and pricing. From the flooring to storage and cabinetry, RDG provided quotes very quickly and was upfront about the additional charges and timeline because of my location. I agreed with the additional charges (they weren't much $!) because I was 2+ hours away. Also, we needed to coordinate getting the most done in the least amount of days possible. This required an all day install of epoxy flooring and a larger team of 3 to install the cabinets/slatwall about a week later. Finally Jason and I scheduled an in-person consultation (no charge) for final measurements and cabinet/slat wall/flooring color combinations decisions. Jason had awesome samples of everything and provided a great recommendation of the nightfall flooring and grey cabinets. I eventually decided on that color combo as you can see from the photos (its awesome!). The team finished off with vacuuming and wiping down all of the freshly installed cabinets. FYI - there will be a lot of dust and while RDG does everything they can to clean, they cant get it all. This is from all of the cutting/drilling and the material of the cabinets/slat wall and is completely normal in my eyes. From the pictures you will see I have installed additional rubber flooring for the workout area to protect the epoxy flooring and provide a softer area for working out. But I have to say, it is not because I am worried about damaging the floor...this epoxy is ROCK solid, seriously. While I took many precautions cutting the rubber mats with a utility knife/razor (cutting on top of cardboard and other mats) I nicked the floor a few times and there was more damage to my knife than the floor! More on the floor: super easy to clean! a push broom gets most, but when you really want its shine back (its always there) a little water and squeegee go a long way! the clear coat they put on was top notch. Below you will see some before and after. Note** still have some items I had always planned to do myself: (baseboard install, door molding, door painting, blinds). With that said, RDGs work exceeded my expectations and is super impressive! EVERYONE who has seen my garage in person or in photos describes it as: Awesome!, Clean!, Sleek!, Modern! and then they ask for more details and are very surprised to see how a little investment $$ goes a long way! I had just bought a brand new home in Huntington Beach, and was excited watching it being built. The builder offered to epoxy the garage floor as a $2200 option, and I considered it. After further research, I decided to wait and epoxy it myself after close of escrow, because if dudes on craigslist were going to epoxy my garage for $499 I'm sure I could do it for a lot less! My mind was changed after I saw a few of my friends homemade epoxy jobs. It was no better than a flat paint on top of their old, pitted concrete. On top of having to put in the labor yourself, the kit costs pretty close to $500 anyway. At this point it was too late to go back to the builder to install the option, because the deadline for choosing it had passed. I took a chance when I stumbled upon Restore Design Garages. I spoke and texted to Ryan W a lot, because I had so many questions. I had competitive bids from other vendors as well, but Ryan was fantastic with answering all of my questions. From the size of the flake, to the use of a polyurethane top layer, he texted me back promptly and often included pictures. The day after I closed escrow on my home, the crew came out to my home right on schedule. They used the diamond etching machine to scratch up the concrete and applied the epoxy, microflake and top layer to perfection. I am so happy with my garage flooring, and so is everyone else who sees it. I've never seen another one like this, it just works so well for us. 3 days later I had a vendor come by to install my water softening system. He parked his Tahoe partially in my garage so that he could unload the heavy equipment. As he exited my garage, I noticed a large puddle of oil, or other brown fluid, right where he had parked his Tahoe. I was so upset! I ran inside the house and grabbed a paper towel, thinking my epoxy was just ruined. And you know what? The paper towel picked it all up and left not a single trace of oil stain on my new floor. You wouldn't even know any spill had happened there. This product is highly recommended, and I would definitely suggest that you use Restore Design Garages to make it happen. We were informed from the start by Andrew that Infinity Concrete was started by Ryan and RDG was started by him and now they work together, so there was no misleading there. We did experienced a miscommunication with Ryan at the beginning but when Andrew took over the project we were very happy with the outcome of our epoxy floor and cabinets. The price for the epoxy floor was about $200 less then other vendors that we checked on YELP and Ryan did extra area on the walls without charging us. The cost for the cabinets were about 20% higher then what we paid for our previous home but they look much nicer so it was worth it. We appreciate that Andrew did everything we asked him to do without charging us extras. This included rewiring outlets/plugs, throwing away our old cabinets and extra wood panels and leaving the place cleaned and organized. Andrew is a professional and he is a hard worker. We would not have done business with Infinity Concrete and RDG if it was not for Andrew. I have to agree with the other 1 star review. No matter how well they may have completed some jobs it doesn't do you any good if they never get back to you. If you are too busy to even come out and give a quote then at least tell me. I may be willing to wait if I at least know a time frame. Instead, they just say "OK, someone will call to schedule" and then you are in limbo for weeks. Uh, no thank you. I purchased a new home, and the previous owners (or the owners before them) had glued carpet down on the garage floor. The previous owners parked cars on it for a decade, so the carpet was pretty gross. I requested Yelp estimates from several garage floor epoxy coating companies, and decided to go with Restore Design Garages. What I really appreciated was Andrew's level of professionalism and communication, responding quickly to messages and answering any questions I had. Many of the companies were unwilling to remove the carpet (and glue) before coating the floor. Andrew gave me a very fair price for carpet removal, and his prices to prep the floor and apply an epoxy coating with flake were competitive. Izzy performed the carpet removal and epoxy installation, and I can't say enough nice things about Izzy. He showed up on time, he was always smiling and friendly, and his work ethic is second to none. It's hard, backbreaking work, in the heat, but Izzy went about his business with a smile the entire time. His attention to detail when preparing the floor and applying the epoxy coating were very apparent. And he didn't stop caring when the job was done. After applying the final clear coat, he told me to shut the garage door, and he drove away. I shut the garage door. A few minutes later, I heard my doorbell ring --it was Izzy-- he said he hadn't seen the garage door close, so he wanted to make sure I closed it so the clear coat would properly cure. He could have ignored it since the job was done, but he cared enough to come back just to confirm. Great guy. There was also some miscommunication about hauling the old carpet away (I was under the impression they would, but Izzy had not been told). No questions asked, Izzy took care of me and somehow made space in his truck to haul it away. The epoxy end results were amazing -- the floor looks a million times better, and after giving it a week to cure, I am very very happy with how it turned out.
