But he was VERY close to the lowest (within a few hundred on a $9k job). Even though he wasn't the lowest, we decided to go with him because we felt the most comfortable with him doing the work, understanding our wants and needs, and being able to put those wants and needs into our yard without second guessing our decision. So for peace of mind, knowing that it will be done how we want it and be don't right, it is worth just the few dollar difference from the lowest quote. Oh, for those who might not like he didn't get back to a few of the reviewers, he did get in touch with me right away. Communicated quickly via email (which I preferred). And was flexible with the time on coming to view what needed to be done. I will update my post when the job is done!!!

Then the next week after I had it repaired they were trimming bushes and shrubs and I saw them break the same fixture I just had repaired. I actually saw it and as they were leaving I was trying to get their attention but it was 6 pm and they were rushing to leave. I had to call lighting company to come back out and repair the same light again. I called numerous times left messages for 2 months. No response. Nothing. I sent photos they requested when they broke the first 2 lights and finally sent them copies of my bill which was 340.00 for the repairs, asking for at least a courtesy call. No response. Many are not happy here with their service as the weeds along the curb are seriously out of control on the whole property and it goes into the lawn about 12 - 18 inches of weeds, amongst many other issues. I don't believe they sprayed for weed control as the mulch went right over all the weeds in the beds. This is their first season working for us and many residents are extremely disappointed. I shudder to think of them with snow removal this winter..... so there you have it. I have lived here for 20 years and was also on the board for 13 years and dealt with the sub contractors for all of those years, This contractor was the worst.

For a very reasonable price, he was willing to come out on one weekday and half a day on the weekend to really clean up everything and take out 13 or so trees (many were three stories or taller). This company runs their very, very loud equipment at the Philip Rock Center in Glen Ellyn at…read moreRoosevelt and Baker Hill Drive in the evenings and even on weekends. Two weeks ago on a Thursday evening, the team manager ran the extremely noisy equipment until 8:15 pm when it became dark. This is VERY disruptive. Residents in Baker Hill cannot hear on their phones and cannot even hear their TV's. When I spoke with the team manager, he was very, very uncooperative. Today is a Saturday, and this same manager and his team have been running their extremely loud equipment since 3 pm. It is now 5:15 pm on a WEEKEND - SATURDAY. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. This has been a repeating event. THE TEAM MANAGER WAS AGAIN VERY UNCOOPERATIVE about doing the work during normal Mon. - Friday business hours of 9 am to 5 pm. When I called MCR I was put into voicemail. This company is not being respectful of the people who live here. We are not deaf.
