    Inside, upscale brand nooks.

What a pleasant addition to my neighborhood, a level of shopping exploration and fun totally unlike the duty-free shops you see at airports. If you're visiting Waikiki I would definitely add this to my retail stroll down Kalakaua Avenue along with the nearby Royal Hawaiian Center and International Marketplace. It makes a great third stop. Closed for almost three years during the pandemic, we were all worried it would remain a boarded up reminder of hard times. But as of mid 2023 they've signed a new 18 year lease and they're opening it up in phases starting with the ground floor. I live half a mile away and see it as a block-long fantasy oasis where you can walk in one side and come out the other instead of the crowds, heat, and occasional rainstorm outside. It's full of local packaged food, toys, and upscale gifts... a good option for taking a souvenir back home, also buying luxury brand creams, perfumes, coasters, Hawaii-themed neck pillows, and other unnecessaries. They did a fantastic, surreal job with the redecoration. The grand scale, instagrammable Aloha signs, and copious giant flower ornaments make it feel like a cross between Willy Wonka's chocolate river, a Disney World dark ride, and Neiman Marcus without so many blouses. There's also a local micro coffee roaster in the back, can't wait to give it a try.

I would give 5 stars to the worker that was in another department that came over to make me my Dole Whip since there was no one there. She apologized for no one at the Dole Whip counter. We tried to offer her a tip but she wouldn't take it in a nice sincere way. I would give negative stars to the older female DFS worker that I guess is a greeter who was oh so polite to the Japanese tourist but snobbed us when we tried to ask where was the Dole Whip because there was no obvious worker in the area. I would give negative stars to the male DFS worker who basically accused us of stealing. After the nice worker made my Dole Whip left to return to her area I decided to take some pics of said Dole Whip with the intention of writing a nice review about her but this male worker came up and asked if we made it ourselves to which we replied "no that we paid the other worker". No apology by the male worker. You can make your own conclusions here. I know no DFS management is going to read this but in case you do and want to review your video cameras we were there on Saturday, September 28, 2019 around 8:40pm.

If you want to buy some high end brands without tax it's your get-to-go shop. Just head up on the 3rd floor. ~ But not for me. The only reason why I wanted to go in herr is for the dole whip which is my favorite. And tbh to help cool-off myself from the heat in Waikiki. Another downfall on this store is that the way they build this building. Everytime I'm here, I'm so confused on where the heck I am going. It's a maze for me. And I'm having a hard time sometimes finding where to exit and the escalator down. Another one is that, the shop's clerk attitude. Where some of them they're rude after they'll learn that you won't buy their product. So unethical. ~ But the products they got, from men to women' bags, wristwatch, perfume to make-up you'll find it in here. Also most asians go in here which reminds me of the movie entitled Crazy Rich Asian... ~ But I'll still come back in here just to grab some dole whip and use their bathroom. I'm way too poor for their displays. Rather spend money to somewhere else.

    Kinder Bueno Confections at TGalleria!

TGalleria carries Kinder Bueno confections, which are chocolate-covered wafers with a smooth milk and hazelnut filling, so crispy and delicious! It's addicting! As far as I know, TGalleria is the only one that carries this particular confection, and it's on SALE! Buy 3 boxes, get $6 off! Woo hoo!

Large 3 level duty free store. First two levels are open to the public. Third floor is completely duty free. Found lots of high end stores, makeup, jewelry, handbags, as well as Godiva and Honolulu cookie stores.

DFS or T-Galleria as it's now know is a shoppers paradise. If you don't already know DFS does not charge tax on its items! Personally I only come here to buy beauty and skin care items. Like I said, no tax! DFS also carries a lot of speciality beauty brands that you can't find at Sephora, Nordstrom or Neiman Marcus. It saves me the trouble of ordering items online and I can get my products immediately, wooo! Sales associate are so-so. Not all of the workers are fluent in Japanese, but they tend to cater to Japanese tourists. As a result, Japanese shoppers clearly get better services here.

Spin the wheel to win a prize at the customer service counter. I won a ink pen. I will give this to Yelp friend Dia

This is a very nice shopping center featuring many high end designer brands. Of course we had to stop here, as it's wife's favorite spot. This is a 3 level shopping center with everything from designer bags, clothing and even food items. It's fun to browse, even if you're not planning to shop. Many of the customers are Japanese tourists. I noticed they're all cheerful and they're toting shopping bags from the various stores they have bought at. Fun place to explore if you are in to designer brands. All the shops we enter had friendly multilingual staff. Thursday Oct. 12 2917

I went to the Money Services counter, where I was told the fee to cash my check would be $8, which I was fine with. The associate tried twice to cash my check, but both attempts were denied. She told me she couldn't do the transaction and went off to lunch. I tried getting someone else to help me but he stated he was an operator not a manager. So her co-worker explained to me that it wasn't an issue with my identification. At first, I thought it might have been because the address on my passport wasn't current, so I provided another form of identification along with a piece of mail showing my name and mailing address. Unfortunately, that didn't make a difference. The associate explained that it may have been because it was my first time cashing a check of that amount at Walmart and suggested that I go directly to my bank instead. While I appreciated the associate's efforts in explaining it to me, the experience was still extremely disappointing. I had planned to use the money to buy groceries, but since I couldn't access my funds, I had to return everything I had picked out and leave empty-handed. It was a frustrating and discouraging end to an already long workday. I understand that policies and verification systems are in place for security, but I wish there had been a clearer explanation or an alternative solution to make it right with me. I was so disappointed, I just deposited the check through my own Chase mobile banking. A bank I haven't used in over a year and a half since I moved to Hawai'i. To make matters worse, the employees started discussing my situation in the corner in Tagalog as if I wasn't right there. I wish people didn't do that. Speak in another language thinking other people don't understand you. I speak Visaya, English, and Tagalog by the way. I was born in the Philippines and understand the language... It was just a very discouraging encounter. I walked out of Walmart trying not to sob because after two weeks of waiting for a paycheck, and not being able to go to the bank with my work hours, it's been incredibly difficult to have money in my pocket. I was really counting on Walmart to take care of me today. So, reluctantly, I took a picture of my check instead and deposited it through my mobile phone and now I have to wait days for it to go through. What a rough day.

I can safely say this Target passes my restroom accessibility check. Having access to a public restroom makes such a big difference, especially when you're out running errands. Unfortunately, the family restroom was completely trashed during my visit. I'm grateful that businesses offer these facilities, but seeing conditions like this also makes me understand why some businesses may hesitate to keep their restrooms open and accessible to everyone. I hope we can all do our part by treating these shared spaces with respect. A clean restroom is a small thing that can make someone's day so much easier. On another note, I enjoy going to this Target. If I'm not mistaken, I've stopped by here, at least three times already and I love what I see. I just want to spend hours here and go aisle by aisle! That is an adventure for another day.
