They could have been rated 4.5 stars for convenience as their location is amazingly across from the Outrigger Waikiki hotel but they had bad customer service. My water Pik broke n I needed one so bad as flossing never really worked, I googled but for some reason the result said only a few available in the Aka Moana Center a $23 Taxi ride to get there. We went to this one anyway but could not find any directory or any employee to ask where to find it. We finally found it after 25 minutes n everything was locked? Why? There is absolutely zero crime here, you can't even find a cop anywhere, it's as if Waikīkī is for the 1%, hotels are $600 to $1,599 a night!. I waited a long 15 min zero help after buzzing it twice, I went hunting for help n saw 3,4 of them cackling in an aisle! So I finally got help but had wasted over 1 hour n it was a beautiful day yesterday n today it's raining it's so painful to pay so much n could not enjoy, I'll never ever come here in December again , you can't get into the water it was freezing. I'm so happy I got my water pick but if sny manager read this pl make sure they work harder I know this is laid back country but at $600 a day it cost me $25! N valuable time! read more

If you are in Waikiki and forget something for your vacation, staycation, or daily living this target has what you need. The downside to this target is a lot of things are locked up and you have to get help to get out what you need. Great selection like any other target. This target location is multi level, and seems so huge. Buuut, it literally has so much less than other target locations. For instance, there are no furniture items available at this location. There aren't many book to choose from. But there is quite a bit of alcohol and what not. This is an interesting location. It's at the International market place, and if you're driving, there is paid parking. Luckily, Target gives you a voucher after spending a minimum amount to give you so much off in parking rates. I think you have to spend at least $20 or $25. The layout here is interesting, being multi level. It almost reminds me of the Windward Mall location. read more

I was in town to run the Hapalua Half Marathon. I was staying near the International Market Place. The last time I was in Waikiki, there wasn't a Target store here. Since it's one of my favorite places to buy stuff that I need, I came here to buy a gallon of water and some snacks. For both items, I went with the Good & Gather brand. The gallon of water was $1.89 and a large bag of pistachios was $10.29. For the area, the prices were still pretty decent. It was super quick and convenient to pay for both items while using one of the easy-to-use self check-out kiosks. read more

This target is by the International market, and we were in need of just a couple days of groceries as we are staying in an apartment hotel nearby for a couple of days. There are a couple of stories to this place with grocery items on the first floor and toiletries and such on second floor among other things. They have a decent selection of foods. I definitely had some sticker shock compared to the mainland as we paid over eight dollars for a dozen eggs as an example, and bread was over $6. I probably should've just done a Walmart delivery to the hotel but with the tsunami yesterday did not want to chance any stocking issues so we basically paid $100 for two days worth of groceries but there you go, convenience! With that said, the place was very clean and organized, and we were able to put together a menu for the couple days that we are here. The staff working the store were also friendly and we were checked out quickly. Coke put out bottles with 200 different names on it, so I was happy to find mine. I went back a few days later and found the hubby's name. I can't believe it. Now, we have the matching set. This location has been open for about 4 months. This Target is not the big box format. It is the smaller urban focused store format. Roughly 25% of the floor space is dedicated to food, beverage and household consumables; 25% on men's wear and 25% on woman's wear, with a heavy emphasis on beach and casual wear; and 25% on "other" (books, electronics, etc.). A lot of people don't realize that in addition to hotels, timeshares and short term rentals, there are a lot apartments in the vicinity. This store has a lot of basics, so that people do not have to travel to the suburbs to buy groceries. It also appears that Target has spent more money than they typically do on decor, so that the store better fits in with the higher end atmosphere of the International Marketplace. HORRIBLE ONLINE ORDER/PICKUP EXPERIENCE If your email and order confirmation system is compromised, don't make the customer feel like they didn't follow instructions. This is the lowest "customer service" standard I've seen, and I have to admit - I was surprised to see this from TARGET. Ordered a lamp that was only available in Waikīkī. Not a plus for someone who lives in Ewa Beach. Nevertheless, I secured the order and waited for the "Ready for Pickup" email. Upon receiving this email 90 mins later, I was disappointed to see that it was now telling me to go into the store to the customer service counter. I didn't wanna make a fuss and figure out how to change it, so I carried on and made my way down to Waikīkī. After waiting in line for 8-10 minutes (only 2 people ahead of me), I was greeted and asked for my first and last name to retrieve my online order. After providing my info, the customer service rep looked a bit disarranged, then she says, "oh, you were supposed to drive up. Our online order pickup is on the third floor." I replied that drive up is actually what I wanted, but I'm here now in your store because that's what the email told me to do. She then says, "that's so weird. We have you as drive up. Sometimes our system does that and we haven't figured out why. Sorry. Did you.... just wanna drive up to grab it?" SHOCKED that she's asking me this, I pull up the email showing that I was directed to grab my item in store, and said, "I'm already here standing in front of you, so I don't see the problem with just grabbing my lamp." For whatever reason she had in her head, she then felt it was necessary to ask me if I had Target mobile app? I reply, "No, but I have a login cuz I had to create an acct for the order." She THEN asks me to show her. I honestly felt like this was already being dragged on, but I complied. As expected, my Target account confirmed the notification showed WALK IN. No kidding - she looked uncomfortable, BUT AGAIN, she asked me if I would be okay to drive up to the third floor to grab my item?!!!! APPALLED and somewhat aggravated, I calmly told her in an almost laughing voice (because I was utterly shocked at the poor service), "Why does this seem like such an issue for you to give me my item now? I'm already here because that's what your email instructed, and I refuse to drive up to the pickup area with no obvious way of getting helped BEING THAT MY EMAIL HAS NO WAY OF NOTIFYING STAFF THAT I AM READY FOR PICKUP. I refuse to go up there to face more issues. What is the problem??" After probably realizing her request was stupid, and seeing that I was justified since I had no way of checking-in for my order, she FINALLY called for assistance! I was told to wait on the side, which I did for OVER 10 minutes. I sincerely didn't think it was worth my time leaving this review, cuz I feel like this type of service is the new norm. But, I'm here now, so hopefully this reaches someone to correct the problem and Target begins to train front facing representatives better. Ps. I love my lamp! read more

Located in waikiki on the strip inside the international market place. This target is a busy one especially for the tourists because its the closest nearby grocery store to buy items for locally cheaper than ABC or 7-11 such as macadamia nuts or chocolates, hawaiian sun drinks 6 pack for $3.99! Also items like medicines and a cheap bathing suit LOL It's 2 story - the lower level is the groceries and produce etc and upstairs is more clothing and housewares etc. They sell reusable hawaii themed bags for $1.99 and trust me you will need these bags because all stores in Hawaii except restaurants or eateries will charge you a fee for a shopping bag. Shopping bags are like $.15 cents but if those bags are being thrown away when you pack to leave you are wasting $$$$. Snack chips here are cheaper if you crave late night munchies. ABC stores are closer but here its cheaper to buy snack items. Didn't see much souvenirs except food items and they sell it cheaper for boxed sets of macadamia nuts and the chocolates imo unless you go to Costco. This is literally on the strip of waikiki so its a good location and more safer imo. read more

I was staying at the Hilton Garden Inn across the street. I was pleasantly surprised when I stepped out on the main road and saw Target immediately across the street! I was only in town for 3 days for a wedding and yet I went to this store on at least 6 occasions. They had EVERYTHING I needed... rechargeable fan, water, tampons, wired headphones for the flight, coffee, sandals, etc. They carried it all and then some in such a small store. It also opens into the mall (International Market Place) which offers paid parking. There is a Starbucks located on the first floor. Would recommend to anyone in town. read more

Welcome to the International Marketplace filling the former Saks 5th I think is a great option though knowing that their space is limited to what's available yes it is much smaller than what they're known for but really is a great option for folks in the area. You won't find many of the usual items but what finally brought me here is because my usual Ala Moana location was out of the item so I had no other option than to give them a visit as the drive to the other wasn't even the option I wanted. The problem that we all know is the parking in Waikiki that's is the issue so if you know what you want and have a decent list of items that's at least $25 the first hour validation is free. Don't expect furniture, a huge Bullseye playground items or even home goods section as it's very limited due to space obviously so checking on the app to see the availability is very recommended. The ground floor is basically food and the second floor are clothing and various other items which thankfully they had, but shopping to fulfill the $25 sadly is so easy lol. Welcome Targét as I do value the convenience you have with your app to find the items that are needed without the hassle of driving around and the Circle bonus and self checkout is nice and appreciated having here making it nice to finding items that we need is the real deal. Waikiki notoriously keeps large grocery and home goods stores out of the area since certain chains have a monopoly. It's refreshing that Target finally opened this location as it's perfectly positioned right in the heart of the area to cater to visitors and people who live nearby equally. It's inside International Marketplace with entrances on the Kuhio side, and two inside on the first and second levels. This isn't a typical Target, it's a smaller city version. It has high ceilings and aisles are spread out. The first floor has a great selection of grocery items that caters specifically to visitors who may not need large portions of everything. They have a lot of single packed items too. Clothing is on this level, with lots of selections for warm weather and the beach. There are interior escalators and accessible elevators to go upstairs. Here you'll find more clothing, home goods, toys, hygiene items, etc. They had a small seasonal section too. Prices overall are kept in line with their other stores, which means this will be a cheaper option for visitors and residents alike without having to bring everything from a farther location. They have checkout counters at all the exits too, and employees were friendly and welcoming. It's great to have this location as an option for necessities at a convenient location, but this one doesn't replace the larger ones at Ala Moana and in Aiea. read more

I recently went to the target because I had two hours to kill and I honestly had the best time just going out aisle and seeing what's new. I loved the body care section. I found some amazing exfoliates and body wash that was literally a can of whipped cream. That was different! There was an Ulta section so I was able to sample out some new makeup products. I also was able to get my caffeine fix because there was a Starbucks. I always enjoy the dollar spot section and enjoy the tiny corners of clearance. My personal favorite finds are the home goods, of course. Target is just a great place to shop because you've got the lifestyle section. You've got the home section. You also got groceries and you've got beauty care essentials. I recently found out about their app and you can also shop online. There are many clearance options there as well and if you're a member, you can get delivery right to your door. I've enjoyed shopping at target lately and will definitely be back. read more

Shopping in Waikiki, Honolulu, Hawaii... Tourists can now enjoy Target deals when they visit O'ahu! Just remember that parking at the International Market Place is only one-hour free with minimum $25 purchase. I went oover the hour by 2 minutes and Customer Service couldn't do anything about it. The older female at Target's Customer Service gave me another parking sticker, but Customer Service for International Market Place said that the stickers aren't "stackable". I would have made the time limit if the 3rd elevator in the parking structure was working. Darn. Waiting for 2 elevators took a long time! There were so many tourists on a Sunday! Customer Service at International Market Place said, "No ifs, ands, or buts. No exceptions." Sad. I reluctantly paid $2 for an hour and 2 minutes of parking... LOL! I guess I should have grabbed anything to make the $25 goal. I just wanted to use my $5 gift card before I lost it or forgot about it. Ana was the clerk at the cash register. She wasn't sure about how to redeem my gift card since it was her first day of work. She did just fine! Well, I had a nice tour of Target. Upstairs is beauty, dry goods , toys etc. Outside Target looks pretty big although inside it's rather one of the smallest Target I ever been to . Target opened up in Waikiki just last week at the International Marketplace. Two floors, it takes over (finally) for the previous tenant: Sak's Fifth. It was vacant for a while. Entrances/exits are situated inside the mall on both the ground and the second floor. There is a Kuhio Avenue entrance and exit on the ground floor, as well. Target ...and yes, I pronounce it Tar-ghay - in my head - is the grocery chain that isn't cringe-worthy like that other mega franchise. Self-checkout is available and there is usually at least one cashier lane open. I got my parking ticket validated from the cashier. International Marketplace's parking is good. If I recall correctly, once validated by a store...parking for the first two hours is free. Stalls are wide, ev charging is available, and the ramp is spacious; but don't speed if you cannot handle the turns on the ramp...I've seen plenty of cones knocked about over my years parking here. read more

The store is two floors with two entrances one from the open air mall and the other from one of the main strips Kalākaua Avenue. The decor of the outside (street view) is like it's raining, when it's not. Cool! Finally!!!!! Target has opened here at International Marketplace!!!! This has been in the works for a couple of years now, and I'm glad to see it finally come to fruition. This will definitely alleviate the busyness of the Ala Moana location, but also offer those in the area a better option for shopping than just an ABC store. Target usually has great options at reasonable prices, and this location is no exception. The layout is well-organized, making it easy to find everything from groceries to home goods. Plus, the staff was super friendly and helpful, which always makes the shopping experience better. Parking is located at the International Marketplace parking structure. But we all know most people shopping here are walking to this location! Validation is available and is as follows: when you make a purchase of $25 at any store or restaurant here, first hour free, with the second and third hours costing just $2 each. After that, regular rates apply. Typically it's a $15 flat fee but get your parking validated. It's a great excuse to grab what you need at Target, then take a stroll around Waikiki! All in all, I'm excited to have this convenient addition to the neighborhood! read more

Checked out the new Target today since we went to eat at International Marketplace. Parking is free for the first hour with $25 validation but I'm not sure if that applies at Target too. 2nd floor is mostly clothes and home goods and the food is on the first floor. They have a few self checkout registers which made the lines move quickly. It's overall a pretty small Target but they fit a decent amount of things into this tiny space. read more

Small, Crowed, Limited items (atm). This is a 2 story Target and it seems like they just crammed everything in there. Some areas are still "coming soon" Note: You have to spend $25 or more to get parking validation. Not that much space to move around since it is in waikiki so it is busy in there. They do have a starbucks in there which is nice. Although not your typical feel of target, Almost felt like a walmart to me as since it was busy, it was also messy. Clothes were all over the place, products in the wrong section, kids running around, people coming in and out from upstairs and down stairs and lot of things felt out of place. They had just open so I totally understand if they are not up to speed and hope they hire more staff to keep up with the amount of foot traffic coming through. read more

I wish I knew there was a target here! I lugged diapers and snacks for my trip and I could have just put in a pick up order for day 1. The store also had local snacks that I wanted to try but I still have all the snacks I packed. It was disappointing to see most of the aisles locked up. Not sure how that prevents theft unless you have to purchase the item when they unlock it or is it to limit the number of items you can purchase. This Target store recently opened inside the International Marketplace, taking over what was once Saks 5th Avenue. Finally had the chance to go inside and explore and it's definitely not as big as even the Ala Moana location. There's not a lot of floor space to work with, which is why there is a limited selection of merchandise and groceries. Many of the clothing is also locked behind the glass cases and require you to page a team member for assistance. Because of the fact that this is in Waikiki, you can expect to deal with tons of people and especially tourists. It is convenient for those who reside in the immediate area, but I would personally not frequent this particular location unless I really had to. read more

Cool City Target. Not as big as the Ala Moana one, but still good. There's a coffee shop on the bottom floor and alcohol to purchase on the top floor. Registers on both bottom and top floors so it's pretty easy to pay. One negative is their Hawaiian Target Bags, the writing wears off pretty easy. If you need a good souvenir bag, go to Foodland. The prices here are just like the mainland, so the value is pretty similar. read more

Target has brought their choices and selections to the heart of the busiest tourist area of Oahu. Long waited and did not disappoint. Very pleasant experience. I love the size of the store and it is not overwhelmingly big. Prices are a much welcomed relief for those of us that live in town. Example chunky canned soup for $2.29 the same exact flavor and size is $5.99 across the street. Please stock unscented cat litter. First time visit to the brand new Target in Waikiki. Target is "Spot on Target" with spacious, organized shelves, and lots of room for customers to maneuver, whether with carts, strollers, or baskets. It was very clean, well lighted and airy. It wasn't crowded, but by the time we were finished shopping, there were quite a few families and tourists. Value- great discounts and sales, and the Mason jars are in stock! Not expecting tourists to buy a ton of them, but there are locals who live in Waikiki if you are on the hunt (they have 4 oz and up sizes)! Pokemon trading card stock - there were many to choose from and several trading tin sets were on sale. Got to the register and they were even less! Yay! Fruits and other fresh food items were well stocked and looked amazing! Perfect for young families on day trips or hotel room snacking and dining; including clamshells that had both red and green grapes for different taste preferences. The Hawai'i gift displays were definitely popular with tourists-they had/have a great selection of chocolate covered Mac nut boxes and the like, including multi pack options. We locals bought lots of stuff, much more than the minimum $25, so we qualified for the parking validation for the International Marketplace. Alas, that's almost useless, as we still got hit with a $12 parking charge. (So beware Waikiki parking rates, and time your shopping wisely.) There's security (which was helpful when I was seeking the restroom). The restroom needed a refresh from the last few customer(s?) who filled one women's stall waste bin with old clothes and other items, so yes, it was overflowing, barely missing you when seated. The handicapped stall was out of tissue, so another customer ran out to seek a refill, while an elderly customer was stuck inside. Sadly there are only those two stalls in the women's restroom. But: they have refillable water stations for your hydroflasks! PS The Starbucks in store has a great selection of mugs, pins, and gifts. Love the store, not sure about the parking though! read more
