As far as adding value to the neighborhood without changing it that much, I'd say they did a good job. This mall doesn't really alter the appearance of the street and then you can turn into this large two story "mall." Take this away and the neighborhood doesn't have nearly as many shopping options. Road to 2016#6 Broadway plaza is a newly built strip mall that has some premium stores to offer the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx! This review will give you some fun facts about this newly beautiful area! "The coolies" This plaza have the following stores Party City, The sports authority, aidi (food supermarket),auntie Anne,Starbucks,blink fitness, and vitamin world just to name a few! This plaza does offer free parking so in addition to having street parking, lot parking really heals the traffic on the streets in that area. "Negatives" It has extremely crowded rush hour times because people are coming back from Manhattan (it's very close to the 231st 1 train stop and also is adjacent from the major deegan expressway. So things can get sticky! Overall This place is promising for the Bronx and there more stores coming soon towards this plaza! I'm excited to witness this change in Kingsbridge read more

If you like being tailed by security and the feeling of being rushed out of stores, this is the right place for you! If things are so bad here in terms of crime, they never should've opened up these stores. I've gone to Party City three times and each time I have a terrible shopping experience. The staff is anything but welcoming and the security staff needs to undergo training on how to treat customers...way too gruff and rude. Always unprofessional. Never again. I'd rather drive to Central Avenue in Yonkers where I can enjoy myself and not have security breathing down my neck. read more

This mall seems to be growing and coming together. I really like the TJMAXX, Party City and ALDI. Sports authority and new stores soon to be open including a Blink fitness and Starbucks. YAY!! read more

As much as I welcome these new stores, the traffic is going to be a nightmare. Already, between the buses and cars it is absolutely chaos.

Yes, only 2 stores are open but this is already a great addition to the neighborhood. Aldi is just that awesome! They are like a poor man's Trader Joes, but a poor man's Trader Joes is still more interesting than Stop and Shop, Food Town, etc in my book. I gotta say I'm really happy I live close to both Garden Gourmet and Aldi. Besides Aldi, I'm looking forward to Sports Authority opening and I'm keeping an eye on what other stores sign leases now that the Mall at Bay Plaza is by all accounts a success and national stores are finally open to coming to The Bronx. All in all more convenience for us Kingsbridge/Riverdale residents. read more

I recommend you got to the BOBS FURNITURE IN BAY PLAZA! This has got to be the worst location of Bob's furniture. I came here once the experience was great with a gentleman that helped me find some coffee tables. I came here again a few days ago and it was the worst experience. There was this one employee she was the worst sales person I've ever met in my life. She just followed us around the store she was argumentive. Because of her actions and attitude I left and eventually ended up buying what I need from another Bob's. Her customer service skills were below the ground I don't know what happened to the great employees they have a few months ago. I was literally wondering if she thought I'd walk out of a store with a mattress or couch. What's crazy is I'm not one of those customers that walks in to just look. I came in ready to buy. I had prepared for everything I wanted to change about my apartment. And just because one of their employees was acting like a disgusting unprofessional person towards us we walked out. In a business that you're dependent on your sales people and the sales as part of your success you can't have employees like this they drive the customers out the door. If I could report her to the BBB I would but that would be a waste of time. Eventually the store will have to fire her. read more

The Broadway plaza shopping center itself is pretty good. The store Forever 21 Red is unproffesional and dissapointing. I Purchased $160.00 worth of clothing, as soon as I got home I realized almost half the stuff i purchased was missing, I immediately call the store and tell them my issue. I speak to the manager John and he tells me he's going to speak to the cashier person who bagged my items. The cashier insisted that he put everything in my bag. I then told John (the manager) to check the cameras and see if he put my stuff in 2 bags and forgot to give me one. He said he will check the camera and give me a call back, he never called back, I had to call him back for him to tell me they didn't see nothing on the camera. then I went into the store to speak to John face to face and he told me there is nothing that he can do about items I purchased and never received I cannot have a refund or I cannot have replacement items. read more

Well as far as I'm concerned the Mall is terrible design who thought that up really no wall's.... the parking is hard to get into ...it always seems that when they make new facilities for the Bronx thay never make them quite as nice ....happy that the area has some new things ... I will never go there again... read more
