All TJMaxx company stores suck to be honest and this one is close to the top of the worst TJMaxx stores to shop at. I went to this store at a Around 9 on a Monday night and from the moment i walked in every 30 seconds they would make announcements telling the customers to basically get the hell out. I was in the skin care aisle looking for a moisturizer and i swear I had a like like shadow stalking me the entire time breathing down my neck asking if I needed help. Until finally 930 hit and for 7minutes straight with no breaks to take a breath she told me they were closed and for me to bring my items to the register. Thank you I understand I wasn't planning on staying until 1130 young lady. It takes 5 seconds for me for check the price on the item but when I feel like you are staring so hard at me i feel Like your trying to put a spell, well let's just say it's distracting. I ended up putting everything back and leaving the store. You missed a 300+ Sale but I'm sure your corporate bosses would be happy to hear that you selflessly gave up that sale to save the 1% labor cost you cut when you went home early. Thank you I always wondered why everyone hated TJMaxx so much now i can proudly say i total understand. They are the worst at customer service. T J Maxx off of Hillsdale shares it's parking lot with 24 Hr. Fitness so during the peak gym times parking is does not exist. TJ Maxx carries discounted clothing and home items. This particular TJ Maxx is always messy, finding anything worth buying takes a lot of patience and lots of luck. Recently a trip netted my some Bliss labs bath products as well as a gorgeous Michael Kors tote bag. Other times I've sifted through racks and have found nothing worth mentioning. This TJ Maxx offers layaway but it doesn't not carry furniture like the bigger stores carry. read more

I'm a fan of a bargain & hate to buy full price, but with that comes a bit of digging in this store. I like this TJ Maxx because it is right next to the gym so I can kill two birds with one stone. I feel their women's clothing & shoe sections are the stars of the store. The home section is ok, but not much furniture. The customer service is fine if you're patient with the employees. It's not a large department store so don't come in expecting a lot. Patience is key for this store. read more

Very well laid out TJ Maxx. Always clean with helpful employees. The only thing I wish is that they had a bigger furniture department. I think they carry the most adorable furniture, but just a little bit here. I'm sure it's because this isn't an actual home goods. Their clothes,purses and shoes are always pretty good. This is now a tjmaxx/homegoods combo store. It's new so it's well stocked and the staff is friendly. They have the most staff I've seen at a home goods and it's so helpful especially with checkout. The lines go quickly. I think this is my new favorite homegoods!!!! read more

A relative recommended this location but she hasn't shopped here in some time, clearly. The staff is totally not interested in helping or doing much of anything. When I asked for a manager the kid who called for her ended up having a personal and totally inappropriate conversation on the phone right in front of me at the check stand. I had a question about a damaged pair of shoes. So when the manager finally appeared she didn't hesitate to be rude and condescending. Then she drops the already damaged shoes, picks them up without looking at them and tosses them back on the counter and walks away. Are these people serious?? read more

Went shopping at this store and spent $300+ dollars. I wanted to buy an item that was a two-pack but was missing its pair. They would not let me buy the item and told me I could come back in seven days and search through the racks myself to find the item again and if it was still missing the other half they could sell it to me. Did not even offer to hold the item. read more

This TJ Maxx is horrible! Everything is scattered and they do not carry much. It's a lot smaller than other TJ Maxx's and there isn't a huge variety of clothing or toys. The toys and children area were so messy and someone can easily slip and fall. Their shoe selection was small. Overall, I wouldn't come back to this location. read more

I have Tjmaxx a five star because of the one employee who works there.Her name is Martha and she works for the jewellery department.This has been my 2nd time going there and she has always been polite and very respectful.She had this beautiful smile on her face which was very soothing.She was also very patient considering I was there for about 2 hours. She knew how to go back and fourth with customers without being disrespectful.She is an example of what a great employee should be. read more

I go to Tjmaxx here and there. This time I went a nice employee named Xavier helped me in the makeup/skincare area. Iv been dealing with acne for the last 2 months using expensive products only making it worse. He was vary knowledgeable and suggests tea tree and witch hazel and rose water spray. Iv used it for the last 3 days and my acne is clearing. It was my birthday that day and his customer service just kept the day going awesome for me! Thank you Xavier! read more

I was in the store today with my 8 year old son. He was not permitted to go into the family dressing room with me. I left the fitting room area and ran into a friend and was catching up with her when the store manager Sepehr Minooli approached me to loudly lecture me on how it's inappropriate for my son to be in the dressing room. A by standing customer told him he was out of line to speak to me the way he did. I told him I've never had an issue going in the family fitting room with my son and he informed me he would not be allowing it in his store and walked away. I still had my clothes to try on, and went to the fitting room where the attendant told me the family room was open and to go ahead. I quickly tried on the clothes, and when I was done, returned them to the attendant with no issue. I asked the manager for his name and he made a big deal about writing it down for me. He rudely shoved the paper with his name in my hand and I told him I would be reporting him to the corporate office. He then began to yell at me in the middle of the store. He said I was disgusting for going into the fitting room with a boy my son's age. (He's 8.) I told him I was allowed to bring my child into the fitting room with me because he's my child. He said it was inappropriate and that no child my son's age should see me changing and that I needed to get out of his store because he will not tolerate such disgusting behavior. I told him he was wrong and he chased me out of the store yelling I needed to get out and that I'm disgusting and inappropriate. Mind you, this was for sharing the FAMILY FITTING ROOM WITH MY CHILD. I will be following up with his area manager and corporate for this completely shocking and hateful behavior. I am completely appalled and will never shop with TJ Maxx, Marshall's, or Home Goods stores ever again. read more

This TJ Maxx SUCKS! I have done returns to this store with items that I have bought at other TJ Maxx stores many times. I was treated so rudely by the Manager and the Supervisor. I had an item from TJ Maxx - Home Goods and they would not let me return it. I have in the past and they looked at me as if I was lying.... It's not like I stole the damn stuff - I had a reciept. The manager was rude - when I asked to speak with her Supervisior - she went over to him and wispered into his ear. He came over and just flatley refued to take the item back. I find this store is always messy and dirty. The shopping cart always rolls over something that is on the floor and you just can't help it with small skinny aisles. They have broken items on the shelfs....I have NOT been back and wont go back ever. I can go to another hit or miss messy store and get treated better. This Tj Maxx was by far the most disappointment. Sure, discounted clothes and what not, but the selections here were kind of... welll 'meh'. The dressing room lady was nice, but the dressing rooms were ' meh' as well. I didn't quite feel comfortable changing in here because the door wasn't to tall; i could literally peek over. One last thing, the store had this weird odor and I figured I unfortunately would get used too as time passed but didn't. How gross is that. read more

visited this one today for the first time and i'm recommending it to my mom (who truly hearts TJ Maxx). the establishment itself isn't big like some other Maxxes, but this one is orderly (thanks to the people who actually work at this one, than others i've patron-ed before) and stuff is where it should be. i came here for athletic wear (for me) and baby clothes (for future nieces), though i hate to say, they didn't have that much of a selection on both counts; but i was able to find relatively close to what i was looking for: so no harm, no foul. why i give this place 4 stars are the hardworking people who put things in order here (nothing looked chaotic or messy) and the bewilderingly well-lit, clean, and very chic fitting rooms ('A+++' for that!). read more

This place has turned around a bit since theyve shuffled the managers and played musical re arrange the store several times. Yes SOME of the associates are rude or whack but they prob pay close to minimum wage and its either midaged people or young adults fresh outta highschool/in college first job. There are lots of people who switch tickets or rip em off and try to act like tj maxx is a flea market and you can name your price..NO! lots of times there arent enough employees because yes people call sick. You never know what they will get in on the next truck and yeah when they are short people or customers are whack throwing stuff where ever, ditching it ripping it, damaging it, letting the toy department babysit their kids its gunna get messy. Weekends can get busy and during "peak times". Every store has a return policy for a reason. There ARE bad people out there who fraud the system and yes bad apples ruin it for the rest of us. People like to scam smaller stores. If its REALLY horrible wherever you go retail shopping let the STORE manager and or the DISTRICT manager hear about it. This is a smaller TJ Maxx and because of this it will always have limited selection on many items. The way to shop at discount stores like this is not to go there hoping to find a specific item because they carry a few of many items. This is not a major department store but a fun store to go hunting for a good deal. Sometimes I go and find a deal and sometimes I don't. Over the years I have found many good deals on clothing, toys, housewares, purses and luggage. Keep in mind goods are plentiful based on the season and less at certain times of the year. I do have good luck in housewares finding basic things but at certain times of the year it is seasonal so at Christmas housewares will be very limited. In the Spring it will have a large selection of housewares. Keep this in mind and you will enjoy your shopping experience. Yes, some shoppers are messy and drop things all over the floor especially on weekends.. The sales clerks try to keep up. with rehanging merchandise. read more

Ive been coming to this TJ max for awhile now because its very close to my house and its not very good but I always try to give places multiple chance but I am now officially done with this location! Some of the workers are awful! The ones with accents are very RUDE! but Lilly is the most rudest person I've ever dealt with! She's awful! Every time I go in there she is so standoffish she makes it seem like she doesn't want people to bother her. She's not welcoming like some of the other workers. The way she responds is so so rude! If you don't know how to interact with people why work in retail? Your going to be around people obviously! But the last time I was there I was standing in line and sure enough I go to the register she was on. She didn't greet me or make conversation even though she was rude I made sure to ask how her day was going she responded "Good" and that was it. Not Im good thanks how are you?? NOTHING not even eye contact. She was trying to rush me to pay for my stuff I couldn't find my TJX card so I paid with cash instead and use my $10 off coupon but after She finished ringing me she took the next customer so fast its like she was trying to get me out of there!! Not to mention when I got to my car to check my receipt she didn't even use my $10 coupon!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
