The latter situation applied to my recent pop-in to this location. It was NFL playoff weekend, and we had gone up to San Jose for a quick visit to a relative who has suffered health set backs and we want to see her and offer support. I had packed some 49ers gear for the game, but after they lost I didn't want to be wearing the fan scarf as it wasn't a pretty loss. I had neglected to bring a different scarf, and I was down to all black in my wardrobe I'd packed. That didn't seem uplifting for a visit to a care center. Figured that Marshall's might have a pretty floral scarf that would brighten up my outfit. Not so much. I ended up with a Hawaiian print ruana, which wouldn't have been my first choice, but it was definitely more cheerful than the plain layers underneath. Before I settled on that ruana, I did a fast pass throughout the store looking for scarves, vests, anything that would brighten up my look. It was sad pickings. The clothes I saw were a whole lot of colors that don't suit me (pale pink or mauve = nope!), and nothing fashion-forward with spring coming soon. It was not a good crop of styles that day. In general the store seemed to be in a post-holidays doldrums state. I was disappointed overall. The line to checkout was long, and even their teaser items in the checkout queue area weren't very interesting. I don't know if their buyers just weren't able to find good stuff, but I wasn't having a good shopping expedition with what they had to offer.

Finally Bought a phone charm parl wristlet that was originally $26.00 and paid $4.54. this one was my favorite out of all of them. Plus got a 30% discout for the Kohl's charge event.

I looked in the benefits brand area and they had a really nice selection. I didn't find the color I wanted. I think the one I had before has been discontinued. I tried finding someone to help me without any success. I decided to leave. I will try Ulta for a new blush. They are always willing to help you, right when you walk in. That's the kind of service I was hoping to get here, but that just wasn't the case. It didn't seem like they had many sales associates there. What a shame.

It's 2023 in the Bay Area and the staff here is racist. Come on!!!!! This is the only location that I've been to (I typically go to the Cupertino one every season to get seasonal decor). It's appalling that the staff thinks doing their job is not necessary and think they have the right to be rude to customers. Then he pushed an empty cart out of the way so I could get a good shot of the interior entrance. It was so nice. I checked out the purses next. They had a large selection with several big name designers. I saw many that I liked. Then I saw a small black handbag that was almost exactly like one I had just bought online from a boutique for twice the price, except mine was in a different color. Next time I need a purse I'm coming to TJ Maxx first. The store was pretty crowded and it was difficult to get around at times. The aisles were narrow and goods from the shelves sometimes spilled out onto the floor. It was loud, too, with screaming kids. After about 20 minutes I started getting a headache and decided it was time to leave. I ended up buying a set of cutting boards, magnetic bag clips with strawberries on them, and a Kate Spade pencil case. Everything was so inexpensive. I was surprised by how low the total was at the cash register.
