Stopped in today after lunch to look for cute stuff. I hadn't been in a TJ Maxx in a couple of decades. It was just the way I remembered it, lots of home goods, purses, clothes, shoes, beauty products, and kitchenware. When I walked in there was a security guard standing just inside. He watched with a stern expression as I took out my phone. I told him I just wanted to take a few photos and he smiled and said hang on a second. Then he pushed an empty cart out of the way so I could get a good shot of the interior entrance. It was so nice. I checked out the purses next. They had a large selection with several big name designers. I saw many that I liked. Then I saw a small black handbag that was almost exactly like one I had just bought online from a boutique for twice the price, except mine was in a different color. Next time I need a purse I'm coming to TJ Maxx first. The store was pretty crowded and it was difficult to get around at times. The aisles were narrow and goods from the shelves sometimes spilled out onto the floor. It was loud, too, with screaming kids. After about 20 minutes I started getting a headache and decided it was time to leave. I ended up buying a set of cutting boards, magnetic bag clips with strawberries on them, and a Kate Spade pencil case. Everything was so inexpensive. Today I was shopping with a friend at the Westgate mall. There are a lot of shopping and restaurants here. TJ Maxx was the next stop before our lunch. They have a lot of fall and Halloween decor out. I can't believe that fall is almost here. I found the cutest Halloween pillow with a gray cat on the front. I had to get it. I also found some Halloween kitchen towels. Both were priced reasonably. I love shopping here, because each time you come they have different things. The checkout line wasn't too long. Customer service here is always good. I had a nice conversation with the young lady helping me. She is a cat lover too, and loved the pillow I picked out. read more

First of all carrying heavy good from the store to the car is a nightmare, carts cannot be taken out of the store. I had bought a drawer set which had a leg missing realized it after coming home. I went to the store asked them if they could give me the leg from another piece as I did not want carry and to return it , they said no and told me to return it. My thoughts, they will not be able to sell one anyways without a missing leg, and a sale has happened so why not just gimme the missing piece from another one whose shelves are not working right and no one will buy it. Good place to find clothes, pots & pans, and all sorts of knickknacks. The inside is pretty big but the aisles are narrow. The prices seem relatively reasonable "like a cool Peanuts ceramic mug is going for $5.99 "came this close to buying one too" for those who like those plushy stuffed animals, they have some real cute ones here. My favorite was the Mementos one, see the picture. At any rate it's a cool place to find things that you didn't think you needed or a great place to get gift ideas. read more

Huge ADA violations that have been reported to Santa Clara County. I was trying to exit the front doors with huge items, furniture item (my shoulder sometimes acts up). The security guard was very short and curt with me and raised his voice and said that I couldn't take it out past the door. (BTW, I work with a ton of security professionals & contact security organizations, I've never been treated this way.) I told him I had issues and what could I do because my car is just a few feet away. I can't transport the items. He told me to park in the handicapped parking. Which is another violation, anyhow I parked alongside it. He didn't even offer to help me at all. I get that shopping cart theft is a huge issue. However this places an undue burden on those with accessibility issues & the elderly. Customers should at least be allowed to walk a few feet to their cars. I was parked, literally just a few feet away in the parking lot, directly in front of the store as well. Cutting and pasting this information about accessibility issues: "Shopping cart wheel locks that activate immediately at the store exit, preventing access to cars parked just a few feet away, can be considered an ADA accessibility issue. While designed to prevent theft, these systems must not create an undue burden on disabled patrons; stores are generally required to provide reasonable accommodation, such as employee assistance, to transport goods to vehicles. I like this store, very typical retail space. TJMAXX is a reseller of department store goods. This is my local TJ Maxx and I frequent it regularly.. I feel bad for employees because some customers are INCONSIDERATE and toss things on the ground and pull clothing off hangers- making a mess and other uptight reviewers call the store messy blaming the employees.. I have seen people come in with BAGS FULL of returns and hold up the line yet reviewers say it's a slow checkout... I've seen people let their dogs go to the bathroom inside and guess who cleans that up? The employees... I've seen customers throw fits over small issues. reading some negative reviews makes me question people's perception of the world. Complaining that carts don't go outside, well PLAN BETTER. The world doesn't revolve around you.. Anyway, the store has a wide selection of wonderful items and the prices are great! That's why everyone goes and makes a mess. They go crazy over the selection and prices. Remember , retail workers don't need to cater to you, grow up and understand they are there making ends meet like you are at work. Stops with the negative reviews and get a reality check, ITS NOT ALL ABOUT YOU. Also, for those crying ADA, there is plenty of aisle space in all aisle for a wheel chair, I've seen people push wheel chairs up and down aisle when I'm shopping, but when people and carts are in the aisle , and clothing thrown on the ground during a shopping rush, obviously there isn't space. read more

Unfortunately I will have to rate this store a 1/5 just because I felt like I was being watched and profiled I came into this mall/ outlet for my birthday and it was a nice until I was shopping in the men's section a worker decided to follow me around the store every time my back would be facing her she would decide to go Infront of me so she can see my face and what I'm doing I did have a bunch of items that I wanted to try on and she asked are you getting all of that? Fitting rooms: services by Linda i believe. Or lilinda I went to TJ to get some new shorts. When I went up to the fitting room. I was not greeted by the lady or acknowledged because she was on her phone. Then said to put up the clothing. She looked me up and down and still seeming annoyed by interrupting her from her phone. Gave me the card number and went in to my fitting. By the time I was done I came back and set the clothing on the rack for her to check. She did not acknowledge me and put a clothing to the rack behind me. Then bumped into me and said she needed more space. Mind you there was 5ft of space that she could walk to. I was not in her way. After that she again looked at me strange and I lingered to get her name and she still had not said anything. I said thank you and went with my day. It was upsetting to see this kind of treatment. Each aisle is cluttered, floors are overpacked that it's hard to even pass by with your shopping cart or something will eventually fall on you. Their clearance section is absolute mess and is very unorganized and hard to find anything from all the clutter! I never see any associates on the floor when you need help. I came to buy 2 nightstands and all of them were damaged. Why is it on the floor for $99 and some have pillows, blankets on top of them???! Some look used since it has a hot beverage circle stain and it was returned! I bought other items for the house and my dog. When I came to the register Evelin seemed very bothered, unfriendly. She asked me if I wanted a bag I said yes. I'm not going to carry 20 items in my hands! Anywho then she proceeded to ask if I wanted to open their credit card and I said no I'm good. Her attitude comes out "no I'm good meaning what? You don't want to open it or you do" I repeated myself and said no, I'm good! Then she asks me again if I wanted a bag for my items. Her eye roll and appearance at the register seemed very unprofessional while waiting in the line as she was helping other customers I've noticed, until it was my turn. It has not been my first time getting assistance from her and other lazy associates that gossip behind registers while the line is wrapped around. Management needs to train these folks what customer service is all about! This place has changed and I will definitely be changing my location next time I shop! If I am spending $100-$200, at least you can be friendly when helping me and be more inviting at your store! Please remove broken glass items you are selling on the floor, potentially someone hurting themselves when looking at the items. Super crowded and not that great a selection. A lot of the items had price tags and barcodes missing and some were in disrepair. I do realize its a discount store but broken and wobbly stuff is never the answer. People were hanging out at the store and socializing in the aisles which made it difficult to look at items. Came here for last minute birthday gifts. I had two girls to shop for. One was 2 and the other was 6. This Tj max had such a great selection on girl clothes. I found 8 outfits for both girls. I am a mega fan of TJ Maxx and sister stores. I can emphasize how velvety my face is thanks to the many beauty products I buy there for less than half that posh stores like Ulta or Sephora (well, I also go to those but tend to go back more often to TJ Maxxes as they are just so awesome!). I was around REI yesterday to get some hiking gear and my Yelp app indicated a TJ Maxx recently open nearby...It was not in my plan but could not resist. Also was not in my plan to get a Coach perfume...but it was $49 instead of the $100 I just saw at another nearby Ulta...so now I smell like expensive heaven with a hellish price. Love it. I recommend you to try anything made in New Zealand and Australia, all organic and nice smelling. Way cheaper than online or at expensive beauty stores. Same with shampoos. This TJ Maxx is very nice and new, still smells like new...did not get 5 stars because the gourmet section is pretty small. Please, bring European delicacies like in other stores! read more

I'm a little disappointed in this new TJ Maxx. It's in a nice location, connected to a small shopping mall, and in Saratoga. I believe they've only been open for 5ish months, but I feel that's a good amount of time to study what shoppers are liking and what they're not. When we first walked in, we noticed it's very bright and very clean! I saw a jacket I liked right when we walked in! Sadly, it wasn't my size. There is a very limited amount of racks compared to the Santa Clara TJ Maxx and the Cupertino TJ Maxx. I went to my size in jackets and I didn't see the jacket. With me being the curious person that I am, I went to the other sizes to find the jacket; nothing. I'm not sure if they only had 1 left or they just didn't have a good variety, but I was pretty bummed out. My boyfriend said their men's section is very small as well. It was actually a lot smaller than the womens/juniors section. Another section we also like to go to is the pet section. They also had a small section. I went to the home section and they had a lot of good items! They had a fairly good amount of clearance too! I ended up finding a cute pineapple blanket! In total, we were in there less than 1 hour. I bought the pineapple blanket, a dog toy, and an air freshener from the clearance section. Overall, the store is really small with a smaller variety than I'm used to at other TJ Maxx stores. The location Is great! It's just unfortunate that since the space is smaller, they don't have a very good variety compared to other locations. 1 star for the location 1 star for the cleanliness read more

My shopping experience went well nothing special just came in to get a few items and more; until I got to the register. VERY pushy on having you sign up on getting a credit-card i said No I'm not interested like more than 5 times. And another employee came over and tried to push it and had to Firmly make it clear And i was annoyed at that point my tone changed to say That I really don't want one. It irked me that I got annoyed and got upset for them to stop asking me. If someone doesn't want a credit card respect their decision in the first place. I have shopped at this location a few times. They are following safety protocols for their guests right now. They have a door greeter, with hand sanitizer available for those entering. They are also making announcements every 20 minutes or so to maintain social distancing. The team in this store seemed happy to be there and busy with their tasks. This store is also VERY WELL organized and easy to shop. They have affordable styles and I always leave spending $100+ with a bag full of stuff. Id much rather shop here than the mall. My only complaint is how SLOW my cashier was. She was distracted by some other customers in line and was moving like a sloth. This place is located inside the Westgate shopping center. It's clean & fairly organized. You can find lots of great deals there in name brands sometimes. Today I found a Strivectin skin care set for only $11. The original price was $59. The original TJMax price was $40. It came with cleanser, eye cream, and moisturizer. Right now there are lots of Strivectin neck cream, face cream, and face serum for only $19.99 for a large size bottle. I also found lots of facial serums between $4-8. I got a vitamin E blend for only $5. A bottle of serum usually costs anywhere from $30-80 a bottle! I also got some cruelty free liquid makeup remover for only $3! I also saw a popular brand of primer from Two Faced cosmetics for only $10. Usually it costs around $30! I also saw a set of seamless bras for $17 for a set of two bras that I'll need to go back for. I was to tired to look for my size. The sizes were mixed. I like this store more than Ross. They seem to have a bigger selection of stuff as well. read more

I've been a fan of TJ Maxx for years, so I was excited to see this new location open up. They always sell high quality items, whether it's clothing, shoes, kitchenware, or various home goods. This location is no different. The layout is very nice, and everything appears really clean. I love how it connects with the inside of the mall, giving it two entrances. There was a "Karen" in the dressing room and was yelling because the worker was wanting to count her items before she went into the dressing room. The worker had to bring over the manager and it went downhill from there. Why I give it 5 stars is because how well the worker and the manager did. The "Karen" never calmed down and presumed to stand her ground with anger. But the manager and worker kept there composure and created a safe environment even with the circumstances. Why I write this is because I don't want this "Karen" to come and tear down the workers reputations. They were so nice after and did a really good job in the moment of distress. I was there at 2:00-2:30 on 10/1/2022. Give the manager and the workers a raise!! They did a really good job. Much respect! read more

I paid for a cuisinart vegetable chopper at the jewelry line and right before the lady scanned it, she said "oh I have this product and it sucks." I told her I wouldn't buy it then, and she proceeded to scan it anyway and say "no, you should get it." I asked her to please void the item, and she told me that she "couldn't void an item" and that I had to go to the main line to do that (which was about 30-40 people long already.) She then stated I could still return it if I didn't like it. Got home and used it, and I hated it. Went today to return it and the cashier said she couldn't give me a refund because it was used. Even though I was practically forced to purchase it, and SPECIFICALLY told I could still get a refund if I tried it and didn't like it. Rude, incompetent cashiers and seemingly horrible training if they're all telling me different things. Although I explained this to them multiple times and told them their cashier declined to void the item at my request AND promised I could still get a refund, they won't give me my money back. I know from personal experience they can absolutely refund it and damage it out, and give me store credit. Their cashiers need to learn to respect when someone says they changed their mind about a purchase. Seems like they're just too lazy and incompetent to deal with go-backs read more

TJ Maxx is always a great go-to for home-goods, clothes, etc. But this TJM is the nicest one I've ever been to. Granted it was just opened maybe a year ago, but they keep it in perfect condition. Its a little smaller than some of the TJM that are in the area, but you really wouldn't know it considering how organized and clean everything is. They have a lot of really great things. I wanted to point out how amazing their skin and hair sections are. This most recent trip, I went in primarily to get some Vitamin C serum (they always have them), and I ended up leaving with an entire new face care regimen. I found witchhazel toner, retinol serum, vitamin c serum, a new anti-aging day cream, and an aloe spray. All of this was less than $50. Had I gotten this stuff full price I would have spent close to $300. I was very pleased with this location and I highly recommend you go check it out! read more

The store itself is nice. The staff helping throughout the aisles are super friendly and helpful. The cashiers are awful. I've never had a good experience once I'm at the registers. A lot of the time multiple cashiers are standing around chatting while people are waiting in line then when they call the customer up they look and act annoyed. Cashiers need training. read more

Im really disappointed in Tj maxx especially in this location. After they reopened we bought some stuff here a few months. My mom got some boots for winter ...she didnt noticed the one boot was a size 6 and the other size 9 till a few days ago when it got chilly. Well i tried to return them today to get store credit and just because they arent in their system i cant even get store credit. I tried to look for the receipt but i mustve misplaced it. You think they would know how to take care of there customers. The cashier couldve double checked when we first bought to make sure they are the same size like they do at other stores when you buy shoes. All i wanted was store credit. The cashier was super sweet but it was up to the manager which refused... too bad. ill keep shopping at there other locations. read more
