This place has good Chinese! Very consistent. Kung pao chicken is good, perfect spice level with good flavor. The egg drop soup is great and chicken egg roll is best I've found in Houston. The pot stickers are okay. Crab Rangoons are decent, (can't find good ones anywhere else) they for sure over fry them and the tops are too crispy for my liking but the filling is good. Found eggshell in rice!!! First off, the visit in general was unpleasant. My husband called THREE times (the first two times "hold please" and immediately hung up on) the third time he told the lady he's been hung up on twice and she just said "phone number for the order" so he hung up on her. I went in and ordered the food, only four tables occupied and one was leaving as my son and I walked in. When I got to the counter to order the phones were ringing and once again the lady said "hold please" and then took my order. I sat in the booth right in front of the takeout register and she continues to answer the phone and put people on hold. I paid $22 for ONE entree and an order cream cheese puffs. We have ordered from this restaurant for over a decade. I do believe they've changed ownership at least once. But, we've always had hot, fresh, tasty food delivered lightning quick. It's been a good while since I've ordered from them due to budget constraints leading me to cook more, order/eat out less. Alas, last night I was really craving some good, hot Chinese food and my kids agreed. I realize it was a Friday night, prime time when I ordered, but even when they've quoted me 45-50 minutes previously, the delivery shows up surprisingly quickly. Not last night. It was 65 minutes before we got a knock on the door. The food was barely warm and had to be heated up. We got two main chicken entrees and a kids meal that comes with a spring roll. The two main entrees tasted fine, but the kids lo mein had a really odd taste and was so cool that it had gotten gummy. The spring roll tasted like nothing but old grease. Super disappointing. All of this said, I think this will lead me to look at our other Chinese delivery options next time. I would still go to T Jins to dine in since I could have them rectify any issues if I were at the restaurant, hopefully. We really have enjoyed their food most of the times. I would rate it 3.5 stars if I could but I can't. The restaurant smelled great from outside, when getting into the restaurant it looked nice and clean, but when getting the food. Well for $14 the "Seafood deluxe" was so disappointing and not worth the money. It was clearly frozen and tasted like it was from the frozen microwave aisle at Walmart or something. AMAZING Chinese food! It's the best around this area, tbh. My mom and I always choose this place over others. The inside is pretty and always very clean, the staff is fast and efficient, and the only downside is that it can be a little pricey, but I personally think it's worth it for the amazing food. Place is run by idiots. Wanted to order chinese food delivery for my 87-yr old Dad. $15 min. delivery charge. What he wanted was $12.96. I told them I would pay $15 for what I just ordered (i.e. I will give them the $2.04 for nothing!). The stupid girl would not take it. Could not understand that I was going to pay $15. She kept on quoting the minimum delivery fee. Asked to speak to a manager, supervisor or anyone with half a brain. No one there. Order two more items that I will throw away to make the $15. Now this place is located pretty close to Kroger's in the Brazos Town Center area. Now there aren't very many choices for chinese food in the area but this is a good one. They have lunch specials that run around $7 and the lunch specials come with soup or a spring roll. The portion size is pretty generous and the taste is not bad. I found the interior nice and clean and the service attentive. The food came out rather quickly and our water glasses were always kept full! What more can you ask for? The Kung Pao Chicken was tender and tasty as was the hot and sour soup! My wife had the Shrimp with Lobster sauce and she gave it two thumbs up! I was first exposed to T. Jin's up in the College Station area...a few years ago there were 2 different T. Jin's locations there. The food is the same, and even the Richmond location has "Best of the Brazos" (a rating system that Brazos County residents vote on) certificates adorning the walls. The food is plentiful and delicious, but I can't rate on just the food. If that were the case, this place would be easily a 5 star rating. I have always had some interesting experiences when dining in. Particularly, I feel awkwardly rushed to eat quickly and get out. I know I'm not the only one that feels that way. I've been brought my check with my food multiple times...and it's an uncomfortable feeling when someone hovers over your table to take your plates and get you out. Additionally, their delivery range is only a couple miles, so most Richmond residents are SOL. I asked for a 6 mile delivery before and was told no (it was a big order and I tip very well). Your drinks will never get less than half full, so I guess that's a plus to have somebody hovering over your table to get you to leave.
