Places is kind of overpriced for the quality it's weird when you get out lunch special combo you could swap out the fried rice or white rice for got charged an extra two dollars for changing the rice even though they kept the white rice lol read more

Picked up some food to go and everything was fresh and tasty. I really enjoyed the shrimp lo mein. They gave a nice portion. Also got the Szechuan beef. The flavor was good but oddly it had a scent of hot dog? Not sure what that was about. The cheese rangoons are good too. They made the order very quickly. We ordered dinner for 3, my son, wife and I. We got a few different dishes so we could all try - chicken lo menu, lettuce wraps, peppered streak and combo fried rice. Oh, and pork fried dumplings. Food was delivered thru Doo Dash and it arrived in less than 20 mins. It was so much food. So much. We barely put a dent in it. And it was very good. No complaints at all. Good food! The 2 young girls at the register were very unprofessional. Laughing and giggling to each other. I asked for a receipt for the cash I paid to give to my job to show I paid and one of them informed me they don't give receipts for cash. Which is ludicrous. When I looked at her puzzled and walked away, they started laughing and one of them said "what is she on?!" That wasn't funny to me and it was down right rude and very unprofessional. I then spoke to the manager who didn't understand anything that O was saying. She thought it was about the receipt but it was about the customer service from the two immature girls at the front counter. We have been going here for 7 years. Because of them we will not be back. Nor will all of the people we raved about them to. Too many options for great food in Houston/Richmond to put up with that! read more

Food has been decent the times I've went. I have an issue with the guy who answered the phone. I asked for my order to be placed over the phone so I could sit down and eat when I arrived and so my food would already be packaged to go. (This makes it quick for a lunch break) He responded it's the same ordering it here vs ordering to go and that it would only take 2 mins. This of course is not true, as I have eaten here 3 times. Buddy would NOT let me place my order! Which is crazy! Or, if it is true, they are frying food and leaving it out waiting for people to order it. I hope he's not the owner. It's a different request but I've never had anyone tell me no, the food is already cooked and ready to go so you might as well wait. I'd go to Panda Express if that's the case and save a few bucks. Edit: Sounds like the owner is also a liar or delusional sense he claimed when I called that it would take 2 mins to get the food and that it didn't matter if I ordered over the phone or not. BUT... Then claimed all food is made fresh! If that's the case, then there is obviously a difference in ordering ahead. I can only go off of what I was told. read more

Ordered for lunch 6 days ago and no complaints. This place is hit or miss in my opinion. While I was happy last week today's lunch was straight up nasty. The noodles in the Singapore mei fun was mushy and where was the curry? My kids veggie lo Mein didn't taste the same and smelled smoky. Even the veggie egg rolls were gross. Who ever was cooking today was off there game. I think we will take a break from here. read more

This is quickly becoming our go-to takeout place. It's one of the best mei fun we've ever had - and they STUFF their containers to the brim. Everything here is fantastic - from their fried rice options, lo mein, mei fun, any of their appetizers, the soups (not salty at all), to any of their chicken, beef or pork dishes. We've probably had 80% of the menu and we will continue to come back here week after week. read more

Making the transition to vegetarian has proven to be no small feat so I absolutely appreciate finding wonderful establishments like this one who offer savory tofu dishes. The sesame tofu did not disappoint. The tofu was cooked perfectly without that chewy texture that can come from even the slightest bit of over cooking. Highly recommend this spot!!! read more

Don't eat here. The food is not flavorful and has a weird consistency. The shrimp fried rice had what appeared to be fried shrimp that were thrown in there, the sweet and sour chicken and egg rolls were super greasy. The only reason I didn't give them 1 star is because the portion size was decent and the service was quick. There is much better Chinese food in Katy! read more

I had a hankering for Chinese food at 8pm and looked up the closest to me. I saw that Yumi was in a nearby shopping center so I drove over. I didn't have great expectations of this tiny place but I was pleasantly surprised. I was the only dining guest and noticed they serve wine and beer so - what the heck - I ordered a glass of wine and the Szechwan beef. Their hot and sour soup could have been my meal! Sooo good! Loved the egg roll. Then this huge plate of beef showed up with wonderful, crisp veggies. For $15 this is the best bargain I've had in a while. Nice, friendly people. Interesting as I sat there probably 10 takeouts got picked up. I'm sure that's a rollover from Covid. But I plan to go back and take my grandgirls who love Chinese. Probably maybe decent American Chinese food. If you're looking for anything remotely authentic, steer clear. Even the mapo tofu was far from what it should taste like. There was a spicy sweet and sour flavor! The bok choy was basic with barely any garlic flavor but it was a welcomed dish compared to the others. First n last time. I've definitely had delicious "Americanized" Chinese food (like Rice Box and Mai Tai here in Houston) and just did not enjoy the dishes I happen to select for 4 of us to lunch on (others were right that portions were a good size). Husband said Gen Tso was ok n finished most of it. The rest of us chose to NOT eat the mapo or pork. We ate some bok Choy. Just stating facts. read more

I brought the soup back to the store the next day and the 1st thing the man said was why didn't I try to return it last night no apology or anything. Yumi Cafe is horrible. My wife and I went there for dinner. There was hardly anybody there but the service was terribly slow. I ordered soup with my dinner, but they didn't bring it. The first bite of food I took made me choke to the point where I couldn't breathe. My wife jumped up and tried to perform the heimlich maneuver but wasn't doing it right. So a fireman who happened to be there came to my aid. Not one person on the restaurnt staff came to my aid. They simply just stood there looking dumb. I threw up on the floor and the bastards didnn't come to mop it up until I told them to. I decided to try this restaurant which is located about 8 miles away. This was a take out order-- MooShu Shrimp and Egg Foo Young Shrimp. Both were cooked with fresh vegetables and fresh shrimp ( not canned!). I was very impressed with the fresh quality. The vegetables was a bit on the crispy side and needed to be cooked a little more. The Egg Foo Young was quite delicious. The sauce is good but on the salty side. I plan to check out the other items on the menu pretty soon. read more

We have been coming here for years, this Chinese restaurant is a hidden gem! The food is absolutely delicious--fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and generous portions. I love their General Tso Chicken, just the right amount of sweet and spice. The customer service is fantastic, with friendly and attentive staff who make you feel welcome. My girlfriend and I wanted to try a new Chinese restaurant so we decided to give this place a try. We were wonderfully surprised! The sesame chicken was great, and fried rice and even better, and the crab puffs were to die for! After a few visits, the owner made us ice tea for free while we waited for our food. First time here. I recently moved my work to this area. This restaurant was recommended by my colleague. The food is decent and delicious. I know this isn't real Chinese food, because I tried some real Chinese food in China town, they are sooooo spicy. But this is definitely the best American-Chinese food I had. read more

We ordered fried rice with extra chicken. No extra chicken, no veggies in rice. This was the second time we ordered take out and the order was not right. The food is a good second choice and the service is ok. They are not horrible but not cordial either. We might try them one more time but I am not sure. read more

Amazing food! We are vegetarians and ordered Veg fried rice and soft noodles! We requested for spicy version. Both were awesome. The vegetables were nice and crisp!!
