I am a new Verizon customer…read more It has not been 2 months and unfortunately I wish I never went to this location. The promotion that was offered to me by sales associate Ryan had expired at the time my accounts/family plan was set up. I did not know this until I got my first bill. Now the Verizon team is not honoring their mistake, they are not honoring their signed contract and expects us to pay more a month or return our phones. So rather than honor their contract, they are offering a $600 giftcard which makes absolutely no sense. This promotion involved trade in's so even if we did return our phones....we could not get our old phones back. This situation has not been resolved yet but I felt it is important to let people know that you cannot trust the knowledge or service at this location. Why am I being offered poor options that results in paying more money a month due to their mistake and terrible customer service? As a customer, they would never allow me to ignore a signed contract or agreement but because they made a mistake....they can? I signed the same documentation as sales associate Ryan did and that is not valid? Was I taken advantage of because i was a new customer?

Everything we had to do was outside the norm. Ricky worked patiently and efficiently to ensure everything we were looking to have done was done correctly and at a minimum cost. It took some time, but he stuck with it and explained everything along the way. Throwing another shout out to Ovi who was managing the store during our visit. He was friendly, made helpful suggestions and was supportive to Ricky (and our situation) while making sure the rest of his staff also had his support. A true leader. Because of our complicated set up, I've never gone into a cell phone store without it turning into a nightmare. Today I left extremely impressed. Thank you, Ricky and Ovi!

The manager was pleasant, professional and assisted us, and spoke with our third party via phone. He then assigned us a gentleman, Joao, a Verizon specialist. He spent quite a good deal of time with us while we connected the accounts, new phones, and he was appreciative of some of the legwork one of us, my daughter, did to make the process work smoothly. He also transferred photos from the old phone to the new one without my asking for it! The overall experience, which later included another employee helping us with a USB-C adapter, was all positive. Thank you very much for the professional courtesy.

I think it's fair to say that Verizon Wireless doesn't care about their customers one way or the…read moreother. I've had my phone with them since 1998 and whenever I've called them about anything, they consistently give "take it or leave it" type answers so I'm used to not having terrific customer service so I was surprised that I was surprised by the level of service at this store considering my expectations were already so low. My poor Pixel 5 was limping along due to its advanced age and the fact that I dropped it twice recently. I decided to bite the bullet and get a Pixel 7a so when we walked by the store, I walked in, asked the guy behind the counter who barely looked up if they had it in stock and went to look at it when he pointed to the wall where it was displayed. The size was bigger than I would have liked but it was okay so I went and told him I wanted to buy it. He let me know that he could add it to my account for on a three year payment plan and I said that I would be happy just to pay for it now and he said he couldn't help me. I was confused because I'd checked the website the day before and I knew I could buy it online but he said that's not possible in the store. He said I could go to Best Buy if I wanted to purchase it. Recalling that I could buy it online and that he did say they had one in stock, I asked if I could purchase online and request pickup at the store and he said that would probably work, so I sat down, did everything online on my crippled Pixel 5 (I was trying to keep the horrible truth of its replacement away from it) and submitted the order. He went in the back for about 10 minutes, then came out with a bag with my phone. After I opened the box to ensure there was a phone in it, I left with my new purchase. Again, although not surprised, I'm disappointed in the level of service from Verizon. I've been a customer for 25 years and even conservatively estimating a payment of $100 per month during that time, I've given them over $30,000 but they still make me do all the work to get a phone. I'm not faulting the guy who works there for Verizon's ridiculous policy and I guess I appreciate the recommendation to try Best Buy but it's clear that the company would love to do away with staff altogether and have the customer do all the work. But if you have people in the store, why don't you let them sell? I get it, but it's a business model designed to reduce costs. I'm also too lazy to switch to AT&T or another provider so they know they have me. But I wouldn't recommend Verizon to anyone and especially in that area of Connecticut, the coverage that used to be very strong has degraded in the past few years so maybe I should see if another provider is better. It's a cell phone company, so it's about as expected.

Be very careful at this store! I went in really just wanting to purchase a newer phone. The bugs…read morewith my older phone were starting to get really problematic, even with regular updates. So, my goal was to get a newer phone and to get my information backed up and transferred. I was paired with Ashley. And I want to say this ahead of time. She is very knowledgeable about the Apple product line. However, where this became very problematic is that she didn't really seem to want to share that knowledge with me. Every time I asked a question, she would roll her eyes and sigh at me, like a spoiled teenager, sometimes not even answering. Being a generation older than her, just about every response was met with the attitude of yes, why don't you know this? Her customer service skills could've used a lot of work. Specifically, soft skills. Also, I didn't sign up for being there over THREE HOURS to get all of this done. She kept trying to upsell me different Apple products to me. I had to say several times that I really just wanted to get a new phone and get everything transferred there and get to my other errands. And because she had my phone and was running into problems with backing it up, which she only explained to me after she started doing the process , I was stuck there with this unpleasant person for the better part of the afternoon. It was incredibly awkward and she seemed disrespectful. Before I went there, I was paying on average about $90 a month for everything I needed with my phone. By the time I was leaving, aside from the phone itself as EVERYTHING WAS SOLD SEPARATE SEPARATELY, I am now in the hole for over $200 a month. And, she was annoyed because she wasn't going get some kind of employee commission because I was not linking this to my bank account but rather my credit card. No chance in h*ll I was going to let them do that. Every moment I was trying to check out, she kept mentioning and pushing about trying to get my home on their Internet service as well. Totally not interested! Yeah, right. Like I really wanted to be linked to dealing with these people if anything came up in the future. Shop cautiously if you go here.
