OK so there are more negative than positive reviews but I went there to switch from being a long time AT&T customer and received nothing but excellent customer service from both Jack and Alan. Professional, courteous, knowledgeable, honest. They explained my options without and pressure or hard sell or bait and switch and were patient with all of my questions and concerns. Customer service at this store is non-existent, as is kindness. I received a call telling me of a death in the family. It was my responsibility to reach out to a number of people to share the bad news. Right after I got the phone call, my phone froze. (I could see the different pages but couldn't activate the apps.) So I raced to the Verizon store tearily explaining my situation. I was told by one person we don't fix phones here. Another man joined him interrupting me telling me to "listen." When I explained I just needed to restart it, they simply told me to go to the repair store and get it fixed. When I told them the phone was six weeks old, they told me to go to the Apple Store. There was no apology. There were no offers to try to restart the phone for me. Fortunately there is an Apple Store twenty minutes away. I went there. At the door, the greeter showed me that there's a new way to start the newer phones. In two minutes I was done. I went back today to the Verizon store to lodge a complaint and was greeted by an equally rude manager. There was no effort to apologize at all. I reached out to customer service on line and was supposed to get a call back, but none has been forthcoming. I've been a Verizon customer for 26 years. Awful experience - I went to get a replacement phone and very friendly guy helped me. I only needed a simple iPhone so he got an SE for me. All was fine until he said it was only sold as a bundle with a bunch of stuff I didn't need. When I told him I only wanted the phone he said he couldn't sell me just the phone - it was Corporate store policy. Sounded like a scam to me so I left and got it at the Apple Store. read more

I have been a Verizon wireless customer for for 7 years. This store by far provided the worst customer service I have ever received. The sales associate was extremely rude and nasty to me and the manager saw the way his employee was rolling his eyes and being short with me and did not seem to care in the slightest. Verizon had called me and told me I was eligible for an early upgrade, as my current phone had broken. I told them via telephone I'd rather go into my local store than wait for the phone to come in the mail. I went to the store and the associate insisted I was not eligible for an early upgrade and he was not going to give me a phone. I made a call to Verizon and the representative I spoke with also spoke to the man working in the physical store to explain I was eligible but the sales associate still refused to cooperate. I wound up saying screw it after 2 hours of nonsense and my phone was delivered the next week via mail. I will never go back into this store again. I filed a complaint through Verizon as did the sales associate I spoke with on the phone regarding the appalling behavior of the staff at this location. read more

There are very few deadspots in the areas I am in most often.....Vegas, Orange County, and San Diego. - Nice selection of phones. Now that the iPhone is available on Verizon, this makes them even better in my opinion. - Great customer service. Upgraded my I phone and bought the AppleCare plan for it. They tried to sell me Verizon's version of phone insurance but I wanted AppleCare. Paid for the phone and AppleCare before I left in full. Had a issue (caused by me) and had to get phone replaced went to apple store and they said I did not have Applecare on my phone. Showed them the receipt and after talking to the reps. They agreed that I paid for AppleCare but the Verizon's store never activated it. Went back to the store and they pretty much refused to help me. The process to get my $200 back is unclear. I am left with nothing, I would only buy a apple phone from the apple store from now on. Never again Verizon will I buy a phone at your store. In fact once AT&T gets service at my house I will be leaving Verizon after 15 years. read more

Ok first of all if I could give negative stars I would. I have only been in this Verizon store once and my stay lasted about 10 seconds. When I walked in one of the two employees sitting on there asses staring at there phones asked me how can they help me. I stayed I needed to upgrade one of my phones and then the employee asked if I had an appointment. When I said no she proceeded to tell me that she couldn't help me because I needed an appointment in order to do an up grade that I can go online or she could give me a form to fill out due to covid they can't take people without an appointment. Ok I get it it's a scary virus but are you kidding me there was not one person in the freaking store! So lazy people don't get sales this has to be the stupidest policy I've ever heard of. My mom and I arrived here at around 6:30 PM on a Friday and had to wait 45 minutes before we could be seen by a salesperson. Unfortunate that they were so short-staffed. The salesperson that finally got around to helping us did really know his stuff and was great at answering all of our questions. The design of the store layout was questionable. I was looking around for the HTC One M8 accessories and couldn't find them anywhere. After asking, I was told that they "ran out of space" so those accessories were in a back room. Strange because there was a ton of extra space because the store location was so large. He offered to bring out whatever I needed, but I found that super inconvenient. EDIT: Within minutes of posting this review I was contacted by a customer service rep apologizing for my experience and asking if there was anything else he could help with. The manager is one of those people that duck into the back room or out for a cigarette whenever there are too many people there. If I could give this negative stars I would, here's why: I got a new Iphone for Christmas and needed to transfer my info from my old iphone to my new iphone. I went there on Saturday and the woman I spoke to was fantastic. She was nice and told me what I needed to do to back my info up and that if I brought back the phones tomorrow it would be easy and take about an hour. I went home and did that and got to the store just after it opened on Sunday morning. The guy I spoke with who "offered to help me" was - in the best way to describe him - a condescending prick. No customer service skills whatsoever. I told him I did what what his co-worker told me to do and he sighed like I was bothering him and said "you do know you can do this at home. You can connect at home cant you? You do have wifi, everybody has wifi?" He then took the MOFI cover off my old phone and threw it on the counter asking if he could take it off after he already had. After that he then proceeded to swap out SIM cards. He then asked me to put in my icloud info and password. Unfortunately I couldn't remember it. After a few attempts he told me to stop or I would get locked out. He then wrote down a website for me to get the password reset, put the MOFI back on my old phone and said I would have to do this at home. He walked away and grumbled Happy New Year. Being someone who has worked in customer service for close to 30 years and a retired Verizon employee/ manager at that, I was appalled at the crap service I received today. The only reason this got 1 star was because of the first lady I spoke with. I will never ever step foot in that particular store again. read more

I visited the Verizon wireless store on Federal road on June 8th, 2019. My reason for going into the store was to pay the remaining balance on my current phone because I had cracked the screen, and to purchase a new phone. Rebecca or 'Beckah' I believe her name tag read, seemed pleasant and helpful at first, until she realized I didn't want any part of the 'deals' or 'packages' she offered and my intention was to SIMPLY replace my phone. I understand she makes commission the more she sells, but I felt as if she was pushy and rude and acted like I was made of money. (Which I am NOT). I made it clear I was not interested and she continued to ask me WHY as if it were her business or as if I needed to elaborate WHY I didn't want to spend the extra money. It was more than her just being convincing, I can deal with that, but it was straight up just rude and not to mention unprofessional as she would have a side conversation with co-workers using not so pleasant language. The icing on the cake for me was when we were finishing up the transaction and she was on her tablet activating my new phone and what not which was taking some time, I got an important phone call that would've taken me 2 minutes to answer. I politely said to 'Beckah', would you mind if I took this call quick while you finish up? Her response was 'well I was supposed to get out of here 15 minutes ago.' I was like ummmmmmmm are you kidding me? Worst customer service ever. I have worked in customer service myself for over 10 years. I have not experienced a more unprofessional employee in a long time. I have had the worst experience EVER with this store. On Friday 4/22, I arranged for the exchange of a defective phone. I also ordered a case because they didn't have the size I needed in store. I was told I'd have both the phone and the case Monday. On Tuesday FedEx called to tell me the address was entered incorrectly by Verizon and they could not deliver it to me. They said Verizon needed to contact FedEx to provide the correct address. On Weds I contacted Verizon to correct the address. They claim FedEx would not take the address correction so I told Verizon nevermind, I'd just go pick it up from FedEx. I went to pick up the phone at FedEx and learned that Verizon requested FedEx return the phone even though I specifically told Verizon I would pick it up. I texted the store manager, Adrian, and asked if they could arrange for me to pick up the phone in the store. No response. Texted again the next day and was told no but they would arrange another to be shipped. Next day I got a text threatening to charge me for the replacement phone they provided because I hadn't returned my defective phone!! Finally on 5/3 we got the phone but no case. I texted the manager about it and got no reply. I had to follow up and was told the case had been returned to the warehouse and my account credited but I could feel free to come to the store and pick up a new one. No apology or taking responsibility for the screw up. I said I don't have time to come in, I want it shipped. They agreed to ship it and charge me. I told the manager this was horrible service and suggested they should comp the case in light of all the delays & mistakes. They said they took this as a "learning experience" and would split the cost of the case with me. I got the case on 5/12 and it's the wrong case. I texted the store. No reply. Followed up 2 days later and reply from manager simply said "bring the case to the store." No apology. No effort to provide good service or any attempt to make up for this utter debacle. Some learning experience. Bottom line: go to a different Verizon store. Service at this one SUCKS. read more

I went to Verizon on Federal Road Danbury tonight and they were awesome. They were friendly and very helpful. I was having issues with successfully backing up phone and transferring info to new phone. While this wonderful employee was helping me, I observed another employee working with a woman who had several questions about items on her bill. Apparently she had a very complicated bill. This employee explained each item, listened patiently considered and responded to her questions. Even when her voice showed some irritation, he remained calm and patient. By the time I was leaving, she seemed to understand everything and be satisfied. Very impressed with the service I received today! Thank you!!! read more

Worst experience at a cell phone store. My Iphone died on Saturday so went in to the store to get a new one since I hadn't upgraded in over 2 years. Spent an hour picking out the plan and the new phone. Was excited to open my new Iphone. Then, they tell me they can't help me because someone had hacked into my account months ago (which was cleared by the fraud dept) so they couldn't give me the phone. I have always paid my phone bill and have been a responsible customer and this is how they treat me? I felt like I was being treated like a criminal. If you actually want good service and a phone that actually works pass by this store and go to the closest Company Verizon store when every possible. It will save you a lot of headaches later on, from phones you ordered not being available for pickup. Being stuck in another country with a phone that has been disabled do to being lied to about the contract terms. Finally being sold phones that are not compatible on the Verizon network. I had Timothy put a glass screen protector on my galaxy S7 yesterday and I noticed that there were 4 black spots and bubbles so I went back today and Chris told me that it's my problem. He said that since we can't do it right then to put it on myself in a nasty tone. He also refused to refund my money back.so I asked to speak with a manager which was Timothy Amato and he basically called me a liar to my face he was the worst manager I have ever delt with in my life!!!the only reason he game me my money back was because I said you can cancel my 10 lines instead. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Verizon is incompetence. From Store to Phone to Chat. Before going to the store I spent at least 10 hours on the phone with Verizon with an accounting error caused by a chat person. I thought going to the store would help, as I would have a actual person to deal with. Sure, I got that person, but I was misinformed about my account status in order to "Make the Sale." Because my account had not actually been fixed, I was misinformed about potential credit I was to receive later to be told I actually owed the $250 in accessories I was pushed into buying or I needed to return the merchandise. Mind you, these accessories had already been put on phones, glass protectors used, and headphones put into ears (gross, let's resell these???). Trying to fix these errors has cost me another 5 hours. NEVER AGAIN!!! I would discontinue service if I was confident my account was fixed. Yes, it was that bad. DO NOT USE THIS STORE. Try AT&T or Sprint. read more
