Not all T-Mobile stores are created equal. I typically dread going into any carrier, especially when it's busy. This was different. There were a lot of customers in there on a Wednesday night but thankfully there were enough seating areas and seats that we were able to sit while waiting for our turn (avoid mall locations at all costs). Stefan checked us in after we sat for a few minutes. After about a 10-15 minute wait, we were greeted by Stefan who brought us to a table we could sit down at. I love that the tables were small so that it felt like we were in a little private room while we explored our options. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Stefan walked us through the entire process, was extremely patient (my parents speak English well, but they have a hard time with hearing it quickly and deciphering the content in the moment).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He was a true professional and explained and confirmed everything we asked of him. He definitely deserves a raise and because of this experience, I will go to T-Mobile soon to extend my own contract and add 3 additional lines for my fam. read more

Let's face facts we all dread having to get a new phone because of the amount of time it can take. I have to say we came out to the T-Mobil in Algonquin and I'm glad we did! The store manager Ozzie Marin does not care about current customer problems. He wants to be right and assume we are wrong. I had a billing problem and he refused to help me. I called ahead, waited 90 minutes at the store and he spent 10 minutes basically calling me a liar asking for security footage of me mailing the phone. He asked for shipping receipts from 14 months ago. I'm being charged for a phone I traded in in Nov 2021. They have billed me $845.00 over 14 months. I'm paying for 3 lines, TMobile internet, and what is supposed to be 3 payment plans. I'm being charged no toy for a phone I traded in. The phone I wanted wasn't in the store so he said to order it online. Now he says because I ordered it online it's not their fault the other payment plan wasn't stopped. He wants a shipping receipt from 14 months ago. The box was pre-paid with shipping label. I dropped it into the post office package receipt. The ONLY thing they are interested in is signing up new people not taking care of customers who have been with TM for 9 years! read more

I wanted so bad to have a good experience. They have a few people there who really know what they're doing and can help but a lot of their people don't and don't even have the training or authority to help. The shop is awful if you have any sort of physical disability. They limit any assistance over the phone and have no ADA accommodated seating or ramps. If you're young and healthy and can wait for a while and also know more about the product you're buying than the people selling... you'll be fine. The other 90% can plan on multiple trips and phone calls to get a basic service filled. I'd look for a more accommodating a senior store. read more

I was told by the Crystal Lake store there was nothing they could do to replace a phone I bought out right from them less then a year ago. Everything you read is true. This place is horrendous and should close down, that is the only way to improve customer service. I made an appointment online and show up on-time. Another person walks up, they take that person and tell me I'm next shouldn't be more than 20 - 25 minutes. I told the person I made an appointment and he responded with "she was here first" (with no appointment). Then to add insult to injury, I received a text saying sorry we we missed you, next time you can make an appointment online. read more

Zero stars! Worst experience ever! Went there with my wife, wanted to get myself and her new iPhones. Right at the door I was asked to leave because I didn't have a mask- wasn't offered one. This is not how you do business. If a potential customer comes in to your business while electronics nowadays is not cheap, and total of the transaction would be in high $2k plus new plans, you think you should be given some respect and somebody should try and earn your money and continuing business. But no thank you! There is a lot of other places where people treat you as if you were a human being not a threat . If you care so much about a mask why didn't I see an employee wiping these phones with disinfectant all the time after all the customers touching them one after another? You are full of crap! My family and I originally went in to get new sim cards and spoke with Lisa. Lisa was such a blessing to be of help. My son decided he wanted to upgrade his phone and while there were some unfortunate circumstances with the software update on the phone causing us to be in the store a bit longer than expected, Lisa made the time seem a lot shorter than it was. She was helpful with all questions. She made great conversation while still working hard to get the software update complete. This situation usually cases either us as the customer to become frustrated or sometimes the worker just because of the time; however, it was not the case here. 1-27-2018 Was thinking Saturday hours were until 8:00pm, ran up to the door 5 minutes after 7:00pm when I realized the doors were locked & cruelly closed at 7:00. Male associate was escorting last two customers out when I asked him if they could please take my payment, he then asked a female who seemed to possibly be a manager. The two customers walking out heard me ask & said "But of course they'll take your money!", to my surprise she said no! Well so much for my $250 monthly payment. The manager is a witch, the woman is flat out unapproachable and when she does interact with you she talks down. I just took my mother in to switch her off our plan after speaking to the customer service over the phone and being told all was done just take her to a corporate store. we walk in, of course ends up with the manager who informed us we can't do this to call the customer service line to do it. Well, I went to this store yesterday. First let me say that I had issues with my phone and plan that I was not aware of. But this is about customer service at the store. I had two phones on my plan and at the time and neither one functioned and we needed a working phone at home. So I conduct business with service rep Carlos. I was trying to ask him logical questions about why they couldn't do more about my problems. Why my phone wasn't showing up on the system, I don't know. Carlos got more upset with me the more we spoke. Carlos was very condescending to me. I kept my composure, but Carlos continued to get more irate with me. Out of nowhere he tells me that there is nothing he nor T-mobile could do for me. We continued talking and abruptly, he tells me I can talk to his boss (who was there the whole time) but I didn't ask for her because I wanted to solve this at the lowest level possible. Well, Carlos eyes were red and even though he was on the other side of the counter his body language was giving off an aggressive vibe. I told him I thought he was going to punch me and I left. I was surprised about all the low stars because I had great service. We recently switched from AT&T to T-Mobile because the plan price is way better and it included Netflix so it was a win-win. When we came in to switch our phones over all the staff there was pleasant and very accommodating for my rambunctious eight-year-old. The service is better in the Huntley area which makes receiving phone calls at home much better. read more

T-Mobile has finally opened a 'corporate store' in our area! And it couldn't have come at a better time for me. I was recently at one of those independent cell phone franchises in LITH. They were trying to upgrade one of my numbers to the new MyTouch, and wanted to charge me $400. I called customer service to complain, and they advised me to visit this new store in Algonquin Commons. Upon arival, the sales person looked in my account and sold me the phone at correct price. He even waived an 'upgrade charge' for the hassle. The layout of the store is very neat, much like an Apple store. The reps are very knowledgable and clearly know what they're talking about. They asked me who I work for and now I get a discount on my monthly bill. I wish I known of this discount program when I first signed up. Anyway, I will be doing business here from now on. read more
