I went in around lunchtime on a Saturday and I was in and out of there in under two minutes. Little did I know that all I needed to do was to switch the sim card from my old phone to the new one. I'm not the most tech-savvy person around so I didn't think it was going to be this easy, but it was. The employee that assisted me was extremely friendly and took care of everything for me very easily. They didn't charge me anything and sent me on my way with my new phone ready to go. Misleading Sales, Broken Promises, and Zero Accountability…read more I went to an AT&T Mobility store for one simple reason: to replace an iPhone. I specifically chose a model that was listed as in stock and confirmed it could be delivered the next day. This was important because it was a birthday present. Lidia, a Retail Sales Expert, explicitly told me the phone would arrive the next day. That assurance is the only reason I placed the order. Fast forward: AT&T now notifies me that the phone might ship in a month. When I tried to resolve this directly with AT&T, I was met with an estimated two-hour wait time just to speak with someone. Completely unacceptable. I then called the store and spoke with Lidia again. Her solution? Come back to the store, cancel the order, and start the entire process over--with absolutely no guarantee that the delivery would be any faster. In other words: "Sorry we misled you, now waste more of your time." This is either gross incompetence, misleading sales practices, or both. AT&T had no problem taking my money, but when it came time to honor what was promised, there was zero ownership, zero urgency, and zero customer service. I'm beyond disappointed. What should have been a simple purchase turned into a frustrating mess that ruined a birthday gift. If you value your time--or honesty from a company--think twice before stepping into this store. Disgusted is an understatement.
