So here's the story: I signed up with T-Mobile last week, because these people came into my job and offered a promotion for people who work in businesses. Let me just be clear, nobody from this store had come into my store, but the employees here were the ones who helped me in the end. I was offered $105 for three lines ($115 with taxes), which was less than what I was paying at AT&T, however there was a promotion I was never offered for a free iPhone XR, I was only offered an "upgrade" to my own phone. I was told the SIM cards would be overnighted to me. I barely got them today (Monday) and not even at my residence, but at my job for whatever reason. They had my last name spelled wrong, even though I had corrected them on the application. I was also worried because my AT&T billing cycle literally ended yesterday. So, my boyfriend called T-Mobile stores around my job to see if the people who had come to my store were from any of those stores. No luck. Two of the stores he called told him that since I didn't sign up with their store, they couldn't do anything for me. The last store my boyfriend called (this store), a person named Guy totally empathized with our problem, and said that if we came in, he would be happy to help us set everything up. We went into the store, and Lissete signed us in so that we would be 2nd in line and not lose our place. We asked for Guy, but he was on lunch, so we decided to wait for him. We came back after about fifteen minutes, but it turned out he was going to have a conference call after his lunch, so no big deal, we just wanted to say a huge thanks for being so awesome! So Jacob and Lissete said they would be happy to help us out. We explained everything that happened to them, and they were honestly appalled at the way I was signed up, and how nothing was offered or explained to us. They literally helped us for over an hour to fix everything and explain everything in my plan. They activated my SIM cards for me and got me a free iPhone XR :) Thank you so much everyone! I had a horrible experience here today. Arrived at the store a little before 10am when they supposedly open. Another gentleman was there waiting with me too. I had an infant with me. It was HOT outside and there is no shade. We could see there was someone inside but she wouldn't open the door. We were sweating in the hot sun, not knowing if she would ever open the store or if we were wasting our time. At 10:10 she finally opens the door with no apology, and tells us both they aren't a corporate store so she can't help either of us with what we were there for. She was unkind. I then asked, what would it take to put me into a phone today? Marco, the pole smoking mgr, he said, we have a phone we can set you up with for $400. This was the LEAST Expensive phone they had. I asked about the specific phone I came to buy and he said they didn't have it in stock. I asked when would it be in stock and his reply was, "we are not allowed to give that information because he was held at gunpoint by someone who was asked him the same question some time ago. I then asked him if I should go to another store and his reply was, "you have the right to do that" ...I then asked if he could call the Culver city store to see if it was in stock there.. he refused to help. I called the Culver City location and the guy was awesome. He told me the phone I was looking for was in stock... Despite coming into their store late due to an unforseen issue they didn't hesitate to help me and let me take the time necessary to decide what the next steps were. I was helped by Bri and Jacob and they even stayed late so I could leave the store satisfied and with the products I needed. Left satisfied and will be back in a few months to buy a new phone. This review is for Heidi. Today we went in because we could not access our phone. We learned the SIM card was the problem, so she was not incompetent, but she was RUDE. We got a new phone via mail, and unfortunately we couldn't get it to work. We stated the problem and before going into the store we tried switching SIM cards. Once we told Heidi we did that, she caught an attitude and wigged out, repeating, "You weren't supposed to remove SIM card," soooo many times. My spouse and I stopped her and called her out on her condescending, rude attitude to where she replied, "I don't know what you're talking about." Definitely unprofessional, we both work in customer service and that's not the way to talk to people. None of the coworkers said anything just stood there allowing it when we didn't do anything to make her upset. Overall the terrible customer service ruined the experience, and this young, bitter lady should not be working customer service at all. UPDATE: Workers there, which I assume is Heidi herself, commenting on the situation. I want to make clear that we calmed down because we needed help and ultimately found that pointing out the poor customer service was useless! I actually liked the manager and was very impressed with Ryan! I am giving the store 2 stars for the other dude that was helping before he handed me over to Ryan. I had inquired about replacing my screen (that I have a warranty on). He stated that they didn't have any and would have to put in a order. OK! The worst customer service ever! They didn't know what a cell booster is when I called in to check their inventory. When I brought the old one in they didn't know how to exchange it for the new version they have and had me in the store for 40 min showing me their screen showing they don't know how to do it!!!??? Like I could run their system to hack their problems. So ridiculous. Finally I learned I need to call customer service, who told me to exchange it at any location, to figure it out there. She was using my phone to speak to customer service. And the kicker is and blamed me for their company problems like not being able to return a cell booster in her computer. I've had good experiences at this store, but was disappointed that I wasted 1.5 hours here this morning. I brought a device for a warranty swap. I waited for a day off to do it. When I came in, after waiting outside, I waited some more. Shoukd have just kept me waiting outside since rhe store was hotter than the street. Though my text and email told me that my device was waiting at the store, the employee and trainee could not locate it, and swore up and down it had never been received, even though it had been signed for. I called 611, and after a long wait I was aided by a rep who then proceeded to advocate for me. The employee appeared more concerned that the store would get dinged than that I would be well served. The rep eventually cancelled my transaction and recommended we sent it to another store 2 blocks away. I'll be taking my business to 8802 Sepulveda for now. read more

He was insanely calm and patient while we spoke to the third party unhelpful and inept customer service and tech support for 2 hours. I'm not usually a person who leaves a review, but the level of unsatisfactory service I received today is quite disappointing. A little back story, I went to the T-Mobile at the Del Amo mall earlier this month and was sold on switching over my account from my current provider to T-Mobile. The representative that helped me told me that not only could I break my lease with my provider and they would pay for it, but I could bring over my sisters phone line, upgrade my fiancé's phone, and merge my fiancé's line with mine. He also informed me that, if I was willing to wait, T-Mobile was going to have a special promotion on Black Friday. I waited for today (Black Friday) and called the T-Mobile at Del Amo. They informed me that they were all out of the phones I wanted. I called around to a few T-Mobile locations and the Westchester location said they had all the phones I needed. I went into the Westchester location to do the four tasks mentioned above. My fiancé and I were approached by Zunair (not sure if I spelled his name correctly) and we explained what we wanted to do. Zunair seemed unsure how to help, but tried to figure out the best way to get our tasks accomplished. He informed us that there was a Black Friday promotion but they could not combine that promotion with the breaking of my contract with my provider. I was told to go to my current carrier, end my contract with them first, and return my phone. I went to my carrier and they told me that every phone company should be able to buy out a carriers lease contract up to $650 and apply whatever Black Friday promotion with no problem. I went back to T-Mobile and spoke with Zunair again. I asked him was he sure that we couldn't apply both promotions? He was not, but he asked his coworker, Zach. Zach, said no, we wouldn't be able to do that. At this point, I'm feeling a little annoyed. When I went to Del Amo I was told "yes ", but now Westchester is telling me "no". I think for a second and I ask, because my fiancé is the one who wants to upgrade his line, can the Black Friday promotion only be applied to him? And, because I want to leave my old carrier, can I just start a new account and have T-mobile buy out my lease? Zunair, still unsure, checked with his manager, Jacob. Zunair returned with Jacob, and Jacob asked some more questions for clarification. Jacob then told me that we would be able to do this. He unfortunately had to leave for the evening but he would write down the instructions for Zunair. While Jacob was writing down the instructions, Zach comes over and asks Zunair if he checked my device first. Zach then asked for my device and inspects it. Keep in mind, my device is fairly new and is in perfect condition. Zach inspects the phone and says he can't find the "water mark line". Because he can't find this line, they won't be able to break my contract and take my phone... What?! He then insinuated my phone carrier sold me a defective phone. My phone is practically brand new. My phone carrier did not sell me a defective phone. Nor do I appreciate the defamation of character on my phone carrier's behalf. I then ask to speak with the district manager. He goes in the back, and comes back saying his district manager says no as well. My sister, who's overhearing all of this is appalled. She asks for the district manager's number so she could call, but Zach states he's not allowed to give out management's phone number. We ask for him to call on speaker. Zach calls Ray, the district manager, and states he can't find the water mark line. Ray states, per policy, it needs to have the water mark line in order for it to qualify for the "freedom from carrier" promotion. However, the way Zach is talking to Ray, there's no way he had had a conversation with Ray while he was in the back office. Zach was talking to Ray as if he was bringing him up to speed on my current situation at that moment. This infuriated my sister. At this point, I'm upset and feeling like T-Mobile doesn't want my business. I asked Zach if he had contacted the DM before just now and he said, "no, I'm sorry, I did not. I shouldn't have lied about that." So, to be clear, you admitted to lying to me about speaking to your DM, you claim you can't find my water mark line, so no luck for me with the "freedom from carrier", and at no point in my now 2 hour ordeal did you try to find a solution. WOW! I've never felt so mistreated as a customer, ever. If Yelp had negative stars, I would rate this location a negative 4. Never should you lie to your customers (new or old) and never should you be okay with a potential customer walking out the door, without being properly helped, and being made to feel like their business is unimportant or not valued. read more

Purchased a tempered glass screen procter online but didn't want to put it on myself incase I made a mistake or got some air bubbles so I stopped by my local T-Mobile. Rasheed Xavier was most helpful and gladly put on the screen proter for me very friendly also showed me how to clean up the storage on my phone which improves the function of your phone. The staff here does not listen to your problems. I ordered a phone here and when I never received it I had to cancel the order. I went back to the store to get a refund on my sim and activation fee and they told me they didn't give refunds, even though when I specifically asked if I would be able to return it if there were any problems they told me yes. The blonde guy I talked to was incompetent and told me he didn't have a store manager (a lie). Eventually, I called customer service and they connected me with the store manager who told me he would try to resolve the problem and would call me back. Never got a call back or a refund. This is also "not actually a T-Mobile store" whatever that means? So if you purchase anything from this store and have any problems with T-Mobile, corporate won't be able to help you. I'm not usually one to leave reviews but I was just so thrown off by the customer service I received at this T-Mobile today. It was truly so disappointing. I arrived at this location and there were only 2 people working which was fine. We were looking at the iPhone 12 models while waiting to be helped. When it was finally our turn, the employee whose name I believe was Heidi (I'm not sure if I'm spelling that right, also she was not wearing her mask properly) called us over. As we were walking over she loudly asked what we wanted and how we were to which we did not respond because we were on the other side of the store walking over to her. I'm not sure if she took offense to that but when we got to her register area she repeated her questions but in an extremely condescending/sarcastic tone. It felt as though she was mocking us. She didn't really want to listen to our questions or kindly help us but rather seemed to be in a rush to get us out of the store for whatever reason. She chose to interrupt us and cut us off rather than let us finish our sentences especially when we were asking about trade in values. I just wanted to get out of the store at that point because I was so disappointed with her. Her whole vibe was off and just plain rude. I'm pretty sure when we were asking about the trade in value for my cracked iPhone 7 she responded by saying they wouldn't take that "shit" or "bullshit". I can't remember what she said specifically. Then we tried asking about getting the screen fixed and then trading it in for value and how much it would cost to do that. At that point, we asked if we go get it fixed for $50 and she immediately cut us off and very angrily/rudely said "i said thirty, 3-0". If she had taken the time to hear us out and listen she would've have realized what we were actually trying to say. Her demeanor was completely unacceptable for someone in customer service. Throughout the entire encounter, I can honestly say it just felt like she had something against us. I don't know what her problem was but I definitely will NOT be returning to this location. If I could give this zero stars I would. I ended up going to a location in El Segundo and the difference in customer service was unbelievable. Seriously don't waste your time going to this location, just head to the El Segundo one because the employees there are much more friendly and helpful! read more

I went to this store, NOT a T-Mobile store but an "authorized dealer", to get a temporary phone for my mother at the end of March. Somehow they convinced me all I needed was a sim card that could function in any phone. $27.60 later I left with a sim card and no where to use it. I returned to the store and was greeted by Zach (you'll see his name frequently in the reviews). I said I couldn't use the sim since I had no phone to place it in and asked for a refund. SAME DAY within an hour of the purchase. Zach told me that the store could not issue a refund and I needed to contact customer service. After 20 minutes on the phone with customer service they informed me that ONLY the store could issue a credit. Back to the store and saw Zach again. I asked for a manager and he said he was one (actually later to find out he was an Assistant Manager). I explained what customer service told me and after several minutes with his tablet he stated that he had credited my credit card with $30.00. STUPID me, I failed to get a copy of the refund. My credit card statement showed no credit. I submitted a challenge through the credit card and received a denial on my challenge because the store submitted a copy of the original purchase! So Zach LIED to me not once but TWICE. I returned to the store to complain about the lies but Zach wasn't there. Another employee (probably Heidi based on the reviews here) asked what I wanted. I explained my anger that I had been lied to and she said none of what Zach said was a lie. I returned the following day and spoke with Zach. He offered to correct the problem and I told him at this point it wasn't about the money but about customer service. Besides, burn me once shame on you, burn me twice shame on me. T-Mobile needs to do a better job about authorized dealers. The store owner needs to do a better job about hires and promotions. For those thinking about this store, save yourself the hassle. There are two company stores within a few miles, both on Sepulveda. One in El Segundo and the other a former Sprint location in Culver City. I've had great help and success with both!! read more

Understaffed and unprofessional. Came in today and there was only a manager and a new trainee assisting a line of customers. I was upgrading from my old Galaxy to an iPhone, and they charged me $27.99 for a re-sized SIM card. As a T-Mobile customer, you don't have to pay this fee, but the trainee who was assisting me asked the manager if she could waive the fee, and he said no. I later had to call T-Mobile Customer's Service line and they gave me $25 in credit as a refund. Not acceptable at all. Will not be coming back here. read more

Came here to get a tourist sim card after picking up my rental car and arriving from LAX. Staff was polite and greeted me upon coming in but was engaged with other customer so I had to wait a bit which was fair. I do however find it a bit inconvenient that I have to wait for them finishing attending to other customers which should not be the case as when in Europe and Asia I could have just picked the sim card and pay at the cashier or tourist sim cards can be purchased thru vending machines straight to save everyones time. read more

I stopped in this store with my dad who is a senior citizen and was having trouble with his current phone. When we walked in, we were apprehensive because we've never had a positive experience in T-mobile store before (long story). Jacob from store 647E was the representative who helped us. I have to say, that we had the most pleasant experience this time. Jacob went above and beyond in his explanations in both, English and Spanish, so my dad could understand. I purchases a Samsung A21 android here. At 82 years old I asked the Manger to download everything from my old phone, icons, etc and attach my Blue Tooth for my car. He did. Then the phone was disconnecting from the blue tooth and I did everything people on line said to do and it didn't work. I returned to the store and the Mgr. got out a gadget and checked the phone and continued and reconnected the phone and bingo he fixed it, Everyone else was struggling themselves and T Mobil Management did the job for me. read more

I had lost my phone at the San Francisco airport on my way to L.A. As soon as I landed and got my rental car I went to the nearest Tmobile store which happened to be this one in Westchester. John assisted me immensely in getting a replacement and by the time I left the store I was back online and good to go.
