I dropped and broke my relatively new iPhone (no longer under warranty and no upgrade yet) and needed to get a new phone. Not an ideal situation. So I headed to this store in a state of mixed humiliation and frustration. I worked with Bobby, and he was fantastic. He helped me with the new phone and moving service, apps, etc. - which was not easy as the screen on my old phone was broken. We got through it and I was on my way fairly quickly. I was dreading the visit because the last couple of times I upgraded phones (at other stores), it was a production that seemed to take over an hour, so quickly getting things moving and getting me on my way was awesome. read more

Never Never Never switch to Verizon. They lie about plans they won't fix mistakes and lies they tell. I went to 3 stores and spent about 10 hours just to active a phone. To add insult to injury I couldn't get the autopay price because my phone was not activated to do it. Every deal they tell you is a lie Stay with your services. I spent almost an hour on the phone with Verizon when for the second time I got a bill that was different than the plan I thought I was getting from this store. I had a flip phone that was put on a data plan it was not even able to use. 70$ more a month than I needed to be paying. After my hour with Verizon discovered this is an indirect store not necessarily backed up by Verizon. Where as if I had gone to a direct store I could have been reimbursed the money the store refused to give back. Verizon did cover 25$ of it after I mentioned feeling swindled by Verizon because even if it wasn't a direct store it still said Verizon on it. One hour of my life for a store that was trying to maneuver me into plans I didn't need. Like a four gig plan when I only use one gig of data a month. Kudos to the Verizon girl she did question the store pretty hard about this and was told I was given the best plan for me.hmmm I love paying for more than I use:( Remember to get printed out verification of your plans. Great Verizon store! The sales associates are smart and helpful, I've never had a long wait here, and they will go out of their way and spend considerable time helping you when you have a phone problem (last time it was a dead battery in my old Samsung S5). Commission isn't a thing here, so the staff don't endlessly try to upsell you the way they do in some locations (I'm looking at you, Ridgedale store, with your long waits and rude sales staff). I bought my last 3 phones here and will not go anywhere else. Good store that seems to encourage exceptional customer service. read more

I walked in on the afternoon of a new iPhone release hoping to just get a new phone cover. The store was very busy, but I was promptly greeted, helped and on my way with a new phone cover. Today I had the best experience I've ever had buying my new phone for college. The man who was helping me out was named Steven Dedic! Steven helped me get the best deal that there was to be offered. He was the most real verizon employee I have ever met. Plus I love my new iphone 8 plus for college, new case and screen protector. This verizon will get you in and out so quickly it's unbelievable! My wife and I were Verizon customers for almost 8 years. We went in to this store on November 2nd when we thought that our latest plan was up to talk about pricing for a new plan. We had purchased our current plan and two new Iphones from this store. An employee at this store told us that the pricing that we currently had was the best that they could do. We told the employee that we were going to go and check out AT&T and Sprint to compare rates. Before we left, we asked to have him confirm that our plan was up and he told us that it was up on September 16th. We asked him if we switched would we receive any cancellation charges and the employee told us no. We did decide to switch to Sprint because we could save about $50 a month (I would recommend anybody looking for a new plan to check out Sprint. I haven't noticed any change in service and we will be saving about $1200 on our two year contract). About a month later I noticed a $267 bill on our credit card account. When I called up Verizon, I asked them why we were charged, and they told us that they were cancellation fees because we cancelled before our contract was up. They said that we had switched carriers on November 2nd but our contract wasn't up until November 13th (11 days early). I told them that we were told in one of their stores that our contract was up on September 16th. They said that was a mistake and that our contract wasn't up until November 13th. They said that we were eligible for upgrades in September, but our contract wasn't up until November. When I told them that one on their employees had made a mistake, they informed me that this actually isn't one of their stores, but it is a "premium retailer" (whatever that means). They said that the only way that I could be reimbursed for the stores mistake was to talk to the owner of the store. I called up and talked to the store owner/manager (Jeremy Swanson) and told him about our issue. Almost before I had finished explaining the issue he had already told me that there was nothing that he could do to help me and said to call Verizon customer service. I told him that I had already talked to them and he basically said that I was out of luck. When I told him that the reason that we were charged the cancellation fees was due to an error made by one of his employees (I do understand that I probably should have double checked to see if my contract was up, but I figured that I was talking to the actual Verizon, and that because we had signed up for our original contract there and bought our phones there, that this was reliable information). He told me that the only way that he would try to help me out with the fees is if we could prove that his employee made a mistake and he actually asked if I had a recording of the conversation (because I assume that he records all of his conversations). I told him no, I had not recorded our conversation, but I thought it would have been pretty obvious that their employee had made a mistake considering that we had switched carriers 11 days before our contract was up and that they had told us that our contract was up in September (when we were eligible for an upgrade). He said there was nothing he could do. I asked if he would be willing to split the fees and take it as a business write-off and he said that he wouldn't even do that. I tried to ask him if he would help me call Verizon customer service to help remove or lessen these cancellation charges because of his employees mistake and he said that it would be the same if he called him as it was for me. He said that he would dial the number, but he would just have to give the phone to me and that he wouldn't be any help (I thought that a Verizon employee would be able to help me find somebody to talk to who could help besides customer service, but being a "premium retailer" he didn't have any contacts with actual Verizon). At the end of the conversation, he basically hung up on me and said that there was nothing he could do. Needless to say, I am very disappointed with the business practices of this store and the fact that they would not own up to a mistake that they had made. I understand that I was the one who had signed the contract and I should have looked at the original paperwork to see if it was up, but I didn't. I thought that by going into the store where we signed the original contract and asking their employee would suffice, but I thought wrong. I would recommend that anybody who is looking to go with Verizon (even though I think Sprint is a better value), they should try to go to an actual Verizon store, or go to any of the other Verizon retailers (Costco, Target, Best Buy, etc.) because these retailers can provide the same service that this store can and they might be more willing to own up to their mistakes. read more

I have never received worse customer service anywhere in my life... and that includes Walmart. I came in to see if they had a phone in stock and I was told they hadn't carried the phone for 2 years (not true). Then when i asked about another phone, also not in stock, I told them I would order it online when ready. The blond with a ratty beard salesman deployed a barrage of cheesy and rude sales tactics on me so I decided to leave. As I'm walking out he yells after me, "why did you even come in here if you're gonna order it online... just leave already!" I have reported this store to the BBB and Verizon. Excellent service. We got more help in 10 minutes than we have in 10 weeks at other verizon locations. Jeremy Swanson is store manager, ask for him.
