I feel as if this place gets extremely busy, and it's a little chaotic in there. However, the staff tries to get to everyone in a timely and an in an efficient matter. Parking is a little tight in this plaza, as there are some dead-ends. Also, there's a lot of traffic, both car and pedestrians. I moved here three years ago and I have been coming to this location to do returns and print outs. Recently I have noticed the place has been well kept and organized compared to 3 years ago. The staff are really helpful,efficient and friendly. Most of all it has been a pleasure to have Lisa help me. She is very helpful and engaging. She always acknowledge me with a smile upon entering the store and efficient with her work. There was a hiccup and I was not too happy about my amazon return (I was being a Karen) but Lisa took the time to explain to me why there was delay and I simmered down. I've used this location several times for shipping out packages and returns to Amazon. I've always experienced great customer service and pretty efficient service and wait times. The lines can get a little long around the lunch hour on a weekday so plan accordingly. There isn't much parking in the shopping center either and parking on the curb is prohibited. read more

They were not honest and upfront about what they could or couldn't deliver.. they didn't tell me they didn't have another UPS store or a representative store on the other side... they ship to local post offices and they have their own rules for package delivery.. and if they decide to hold it, they will hold it.. and ask for more $$ or trash it! I needed to mail out a time sensitive item to be delivered via UPS Air mail service by Monday, and arrived at your UPS Reston (Plaza America) location and was told that I had just missed the truck and it would arrive Tuesday. The woman helping me obviously saw the look of panic on my face, and immediately asked someone else where the truck had come from, and called your Herdnon, VA, Location (2465 Centerville road) to confirm that the truck was scheduled to leave at 4:30 and to tell them to wait for me, I'd be maybe a few minutes late. It was 4:16. She was quite helpful. I *booked* it over there. I made the best time possible. I got there and waited for the service person to help the person in front of me, and when they got to me, (it was now 4:30) I stated that I was the person the Reston office had called about, said this was the package that needed to get there Monday, and did I make it in time? they could NOT CARE LESS. The person was alike "Sure. It'll go out today." Would not confirm until I asked multiple times if the truck it needed to be on was still here, if it would make it on that truck, and another person, snarkily, said that "We can't guarantee when your package will arrive." It's a next day air package. How can you not be clear about if it's made the truck to make it in time? I've never had such dissimilar experiences in my life. I will NEVER go to your Herndon location again. If I hadn't been to the Reston location, I wouldn't use UPS. It's very off putting and unprofessional. I went to the UPS store to drop of some packages. One of the boxes were broken (didn't have a side wing, but still closed). They went through 4 different employees telling me different solutions, including we could take it, and no things could slip out. I said it's cool I just will take a new box. Upon hearing the price of the box $14, I opted into just grabbing another used one from my house (literally walking distance away). The last employee made a whole scene about how he needed to void off that last box until I came back (in the end all he did was use a sharpee to cross off the last box) and furthermore told me I needed to take the large box with me just to bring it back in with the new box. SO ANNOYING. Even if that is protocol, where is hospitality? Why not say sure we can hold that for you behind the counter for a moment, OR sure you can leave it, but it is at your own discretion. I mean anything! When the older gentleman came in and asked for help carrying his box, they went out to help him. But a young lady should carry her large box back out and then back in? The staff is always super friendly and strike up conversation while I'm in the store. This location is great for dropping off amazon packages that are prepaid. Where this store lacks is all the nickel and dime fees they charge (probably because its a franchise). For example, in order to print something from email, you have to email a document to the centralized email address and the staff behind the counter finds the email and prints it for you. This "email file service" costs $2.50 in addition to the amount you will pay for the print. That is $2.50 just for opening up their email account. This applies even if you need them to print a label for you (excluding amazon who prepays for everything). In comparison, FedEx's print and go from email service is completely free and everything is automated which makes things extremely efficient. All you pay for is the printing price which for B/W is roughly .15 cents per page.Their fax service is $2 for the first page, $1 for additional pages, which is also much more expensive than Fed Ex. In summary, staff is nice and its easy to drop off prepaid packages here... especially for amazon. Otherwise, for office services, find a cheaper UPS (they tend to differ in prices because they are franchises) or just hop on over to world gate and use the FedEx Office Print & Ship Center. read more

Although I'm a bit late with this review I wanted to share my April 15, 2022 experience at this UPS location, which is near my work location, in Herndon, VA. Typically, I go to the UPS location near my home (60 miles away) but I will now make this Herndon location my preferred store. I was extremely impressed with the teamwork the staff displayed particularly during a very period - There were a lot of customers and the wait time was minimal due to the staff ability to work together. from what I observed, they provided each customer with the same level of quality service I received. Without exaggeration, I never felt so valued as a customer before compared to ANY other UPS location I've been. This staff was impressive - professional, courteous, very polite, and made sure my needs were met to my satisfaction. Highly recommended! read more

I always had great service from UPS and this store in particular, until.... one very special delivery went wrong. I shipped a beloved family heirloom- my grandmother's sewing machine and cabinet and it was damaged beyond repair. So why 5 stars? Endre Osborne, the manager, and Stephanie Jones, the store owner, did everything they could to help move forward a very much stuck insurance claim. It was a bad situation, but they did what they could to make it better. Endre was friendly and helpful, calling back again and again as something in the software or the uploads just got this claim stuck. Eventually we were all calling and emailing and faxing documents, statements of value, everything they could need. I know some of the calls Endre had to make were not easy but he has a freindly way of working with people and putting everyone at ease. I appreciated everything that he and this store did to try to make it right. read more

I love this place. I went in to print wedding programs and seating charts and the staff there was SO helpful. They did a few test prints for me to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. They even let me work behind the counter for over an hour using their paper slicer free of charge. Dex was super friendly and helpful! If i could give this store a 0 i would. I typically go to the store in Plaza America (reston) but i was in the area and decided to give this one a shot. I waited in line for 25 mins just for a copy and notary ! The charged me $4.24 just for " print service" to help make 1 copy which i couldn't make on my own if i wanted to because the printers have a password!?!?! Then after waiting 25 mins they tell me notary services is cash payments only. Why wouldn't this be posted on the website or in the store so customers are not wasting time waiting in a line if we don't have cash?!?! I will never return to this store again. The person that helped me had no emotion, none of the employees were inviting and the place was a mess. Packages everywhere. If you are in the area take my advice and drive 10 mins to the plaza america store. They take credit card, the employees are extremely friendly fast and efficient. When I returned to this area from the West Coast this business was very instrumental in securing a lot of packages for my wife and I and holding them safely until we were able to pick him up. Their sign-up process although being 3000 miles away was seamless and very efficient. Team members inside the store have been very helpful although there's been a lot of turnover lately. They seem to have a really good training program. All the team members are very courteous and quick to help out each other. All of my packages have arrived and not damaged and I feel they do a wonderful job in securing and safely storing them until I can pick them up the after hour key and mailbox key work wonderful. I have used their copiers many times for large documents of many pages. They are very efficient and fast and put out excellent quality. The business is very neat although small lobby when he gets busy it does feel cramped. They share a parking lot with many other retailers so sometimes it's best to park on the side of the building so you have an easier entrance and exit read more

They didn't want to notarize a document because it had my initials on the signature field. My document did not have a jurat, but even if it had it, I would have only been required to attest that the initials were written by me, and sign the document. It seems that the gentleman in charge of notarizing documents at this specific UPS Store doesn't have experience, training or knowledge whatsoever regarding notary laws. This happened on Wednesday, July 31st, 2019 between 10:30 AM and 11:30 AM. My bank later notarized my document after I signed it in their presence next to my initials. read more

I went in here to ship my brother's Nintendo Wii a couple of months ago. Friendly folks and a clean little store. I noticed that there were plenty of attendants - two who came out at the same time to take care of me at the front counter. Definitely a step up from Kinko's AKA "Popcopy" who can't seem to get their crap together unless it's to make a personal call on the cell phone. They also have a small section of mailboxes that allows for after hours service if you desire - I don't think I have anything to hide from the wife...yet so I'll have to skip that part for now.
