After my vehicle broke down in Temple on our way home from a road trip, I found T-N-T on Yelp. The reviews were great, so I took a leap of faith and had my vehicle towed there. Tim, the owner, was able to take a look at the vehicle quickly and get my car repaired within a few hours and we were back on our way back home to Dallas the same day. In this day and age it is not that common to find customer service that DELIGHTS me. Well, T-N-T did! I took my 2006 Honda Civic in because the AC was only blowing warm air. After perusing the internet I was worried I would be looking at replacing it because that seems the most common complaint for Civics. So I turned to Yelp to help me find a good repair shop in Temple. I found T-N-T and I am so glad I went there! I scheduled to come in on a Tuesday morning at 8:00; I was out by 9:15. They found a small switch that was out and cleaned and added freon to the system. The charge was less than $150, extremely reasonable. I also asked how much it would cost to refinish the headlights. Tim said that was "an extra" they were already doing (for free) since my charge was over $100. Sure enough, the headlights looked brand new. I am so glad I found a repair shop in Temple I can rely on since my Honda is getting older. read more

This guy is LEGIT. My car died and he brought it to life in 30 minutes. Knows his stuff and super affordable. I now have a new mechanic. Talked about future problems that will pop up and explained every clink and noise my vehicle was making. Absolutely recommend 100%. Manu places in Temple to go but this is the place that even the tow truck driver said he takes his stuff to. And that is saying something. Had my car towed to T-N-T on 5-11-18 (Friday) and was told that they would have an estimate ready for me within a week. I gave them two before I began calling to request an estimate. Couldn't get anyone on the phone (mailbox full) and finally went into the shop on 6-1-18 (three week mark). The lady in the office told me that the part I was needing (an ignition cylindar) cost nearly $900 and that they were looking online for a cheaper alternative for me. Cool! Except I could find brand new ones on the Autozone and Walmart websites for about $500. I called again on 6-4-18 and I overheard her conversation with him about the part. He had found a used part for $75 and he was going to call the guy to see if they could get it "programmed" to my car. They called me back on 6-15-18 and finally gave me an estimate. To fix the ignition cylindar, replace the battery, get a jammed key out of the door (without the lock repair) and fix the button that turns on the AC (it wouldn't stay depressed), it would be $828.78. I talked with her for a while and she told me that they weren't able to get the used part, but that they had found a watch repairman that could get it working again. She called me on 6-22-18 to tell me that my car was ready to pick up. I was frustrated about the price of the ignition cylindar repair ($475) and labor ($100) when I could get a new one for nearly the same price. At this point I have been without my car for a month, riding my bike from North Temple to Belton for work or bumming rides off of friends. I need my car back, so I decided not to argue and just pay whatever I needed to to get it away from there. I paid $866 (more than I was quoted) and got my keys. I went out to my car and found the proverbial icing on the cake. Apparently, in the month that it had been sitting in their lot, a family of rats had moved in and covered the items stored in the trunk as well as the back seat in rat feces. I also noticed that the AUX cord cover had been ripped off completely and it looks like something was shoved or jammed into the hole. I haven't used it in years, but now there's a jagged hole on my dashboard that wasn't there a month ago. My advice to you if you choose to take your vehicle to this establishment- take pictures of EVERYTHING when you drop it off. There was nothing on here to indicate that my experience would be anything but stellar. This is your warning. I didn't get a 5-star experience. Not that this is everyone's story, but I think there needs to be some honesty about the service. I know this is getting long, so I will let you go. I have a car to disinfect... read more

We've been using TNT as our mechanic of choice for about 4 years now. They're an excellent auto shop and have gone out of their way to help us when we need repairs. Tim's first time with one of our vehicles was our 2002 Hyundai Sonata. It needed the charcoal thing changed out so that we could pump gas into the tank without it going only a few cents pumping at a time. The latest was on our 2010 Chevy Aveo. The thermostat is weird on this car and he fixed it and some other things back in late Feb 2018 early Mar 2018. The thermostat went out again due to a glitch. It was still under warranty so he replaced it and didn't charge for labor for it either. We've had other things repaired on both cars in between these times and we're always made to feel that we're important customers and our needs come first. (We aren't but its nice being made to feel that way.) Tim always listens to what we have to say and when we've had to leave the car its only taken a few days to get it back. Maybe 3 days? Not any longer than that for sure. read more
