I have been wanting to try this spot forever since it's walkable for me and I'm just in desperate need of a good nail spot. It's so hard to find a good nail person, along with good hair stylist these days. It's a no frills spot to get your nails done and be on your way. Tip: 1. Have cash for your service. They charge extra for paying on a card. Besides it's nice to give your manicurist cash for a tip. 2.book towards the end of day on a weekday. This worked out for me because I didn't have to wait and can be seen quickly. 3. Just know the color you want on your nails. They have a wheel of colors for no chip. Before you proceed with your nails, let them know you have to decide a color first. Also, ask if they have OPI gel swatches. I'm sure they may but I didn't see that displayed anywhere. 4.soak off your no chip before you go. They charge 5 bucks extra for this which I was shocked over. Most places include it in with the regular price of the service. So if you want to try them out and save a bit on money and time, soak them and get it off before you go. It's actually really easy to do. And if you don't know, youtube it. Paying extra for it is very unnecessary. I liked who did my nails yesterday. I could tell she was new in the game but she did a good job on my nails and was nice and pleasant. I'll come back again for a quick no chip. read more

Overpriced for not the greatest service. I was lectured about my mood, was so tired and just wanted to have my nails down and not chat. The gel was gloopy and cured crooked, looks like I have bad acrylic nails, but it's just gel. I'm sure the gel will start to come loose soon, it so thick on the edges, looks terrible. My camera won't focus on the glitter so hard to get a pic, but it's not good. I had a very positive experience the first time, but the second took so long to book a Saturday appointment and will have to get them redone. While I was waiting for this appointment to happen, I did find another place so I'll be going there. I'm sure they'll be fine, don't seem to really be concerned with losing a client. read more

I love this place! I haven't had acrylic nails in years and I decided to try them again. They are definitely careful with your nails and I don't feel like my real nails are damaged. The first time I came here I made an apt with Tuyen, she did an amazing job and is super friendly. The second time I made a last min apt and I got another girl, it wasnt Tuyen or Kayla, but she did an amazing job as well. For my first visit I tried to come in without an appointment and they were fully booked, so I booked online and confused my appointment date so I drove over to the salon 3 times in one week before getting the service. The first two times I nearly went to a different salon instead, but I'm glad I didn't! I got the magnificent mile pedi which was exactly what I needed after a pandemic year. They did a great job but they're hard to book. Then I booked an appointment for my parents. I accidentally told them the wrong time so they arrived half an hour late. It was the last appointment of the day, they they didn't take my parents and they changed them a no show fee. I understood but was disappointed and rebooked. Then they closed because someone had covid in the shop. Which coincided with my parents appointment. They didn't communicate with us AT ALL about that update, I had to go to their Instagram to find out after my parents showed up for their appointment and the place was closed. This place is nice but too expensive and too difficult to book for it to be unreliable and inflexible. It's close to home so I wanted to love it. I might give it another try but it definitely doesn't sit well with me that when the customer makes a booking mistake they're charged but when the salon cancels a booking they don't even acknowledge their inconvenience. read more

I have faithfully been coming to this nail shop since the beginning. Everyone is very knowledgeable about the products and pays so much attention to details. I must say I NEVER leave their space unhappy about my nails, feet, or eyebrows! I was spending $35-$45 at my old shop for what i was told a "Gel fill in" only for it to be acrylic and regular polish. HOWEVER, at T-Nail Bar I'm spending the same amount and getting No chip polish and it's lasting me 5/6 weeks (Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND going as long as me lol). BEWARE: If you're new to this place, think twice. I got a gift certificate so I made an appointment to get my nails done online. I booked with any person since I couldn't choose tuyen. It matched me with A nail tech there who I guess was new but no one ever communicated that to me. My appt was at 9am for a full set acrylic French tips black and white. When I had asked her she said she had a year of experience. I figured she had to know something about what she was doing. For three hours and 80$ PLUS driving from Chicago, I sat for nails that came out like I paid 25 dollars for them. Please look at my inspiration and then what I got. And they are already peeling after ONE day. Waste of money. Also a waste of my time. On top oF this, the owner was in the shop during this whole occurrence and she didn't seem to notice the time it took to get them done or how my nail tech was constantly being distracted by her young family member who was there at work with her. The tech next to her got a pedi and acrylic nail set done in about the same time. When I messaged the company instagram all I get are stale answers and not even an apology. ( see screenshots for whole story) when I said I didnt want my Nails done by the same tech, no direct answer or reassurance about that either. Poor customer service. I suspect the owner just cares about her clientele so anyone else who comes in and gets shitty nails done it doesn't matter cause she didn't do them. It's also super misleading to see nothing but Tuyen and Kaylas work all over the IG feed but none of their other workers work, or at least hardly any. Funny thing is I found the tech who did my nails instagram and her work looks decent on there yet she messed up my nails somehow even though it took THREE HOURS. Im confused And embarrassed and I won't be returning despite being Offered to have them done again. Customer service can go a long way, and just judging from the response on instagram I can tell that there is nothing there for me and I'd rather cut my loses than go to a salon where they clearly only care about getting their money. I'm extremely disappointed. My mother in law is a standing customer and was the one who gifted me the certificate for my bday in the first place. Now she isn't even planning to return. I don't recommend this place. Side note: this has little to do with how long it took or her family member. If I would've gotten some nice nails Those are things i wouldn't have minded. I really wanted to like this place.... I came in today to get a fill in and some designs. I had Jasmine work on my nails ( lol same name as me) wasn't the friendliest but I understand it was late in the day And it was beautiful outside. I showed a pic of what I wanted didn't seem like a problem at all. I ended up paying almost $80 just for the fill in no chip and designs included. Umm at first glance it was okay but for $80 no I feel robbed... The owner Tuyen, is the best nail technician! The newly renovated shop is cute and modern. Owner is transparent on the things that are still under construction but the quality of the service and equipment is still A+. The shop is on a sort of busy street (due to construction), but depending on the time of day street parking should be relatively easy. Shop is also accessible by public transportation.
