Black Milk Tea with Black Sugar Boba
    MiK J.

So grateful to have tried this spot, this is exactly what I've been looking for, for the past few months. I ordered the Black Milk Tea with Black Sugar Boba. So perfect! The bottom of my drink was still warm when it was handed to me, which was a first. It was exciting to stir and chill from the ice. The shop is full of nice people as well. Looking forward to my next visit already! Thank you!!

New favorite boba spot. I'm glad it's in the hood. Bad enough being in a good desert (done by design/policy), at least we can have some great restaurants to dine in, especially ones owned by minorities and members of marginalized communities. Such a nice family that operates the spot, and I enjoy our brief conversations while waiting on the Taro Coconut Milk Tea w/ extra Coconut Milk Foam. Yeahhhh, that milk foam is CRACK

Even though it was a slow process to receive my drink, they are super adorably nice! And my drink is my favorite one yet! It's delicious!! The aloe Vera is the best aloe of all the locations I've been too! Only Weird thing, no stick on lid, it's a plastic cup lid, but no biggy kids just may not enjoy punching a hole in the lid! Lol They have wifi and social media and games. Is very simple and clean looking, but they could put some music on and maybe plant pictures of tea photos or something, and a large wall menu maybe' but still this place is delicious and they are sweet!!! I'm impressed! Wish it was closer to me, but totally worth a drive if I want high quality tea! and aloe!

    Taro Coconut Milk w/boba. Delicious!

Visited for the first time and ordered the taro coconut milk with boba. I was happy to see that they didn't skimp out on the boba. Small place with some indoor seatings for a causual break. Taro coconut milk was delicious and refreshing for the heat. Definitely recommend. I took away a star for the boba, it was cooked a bit longer so they were soft and kind of melts in your mouth. Definitely wasn't chewy. I was also hoping that they were selling bahn mis, but they no longer sell them. I was referred to the Asia Mart, but it's a bit of a drive and always super crowded. Since this is the only boba shop close to work, I'll come back for sure. Hopefully their boba will be cooked better next time.

Such a cute place, great location. They have WiFi which is nice since I came her to study. There is plenty of seating, outlets to charge and even games to play if you want! The pineapple smoothie is super fresh and flavorful! The salted plum lemonade is a more specific taste that may not be for everyone but was a great recommendation that I liked! Boba is sweet and flavorful and the rainbow jelly is a good add! They even have 10% off for students so that was great! Nice experience, will absolutely be back again!

I got the match with milk foam and it was seriously delicious! If you love matcha you have to give this a try. Sweet creamy and fresh. They made the boba fresh when we got there and the staff was very nice. Will definitely be returning

So this place is super clean and plain on the inside. Very zen Asian vibes (LOVE, as I am Asian). Neutral calming colors with not much on the walls. They could use a little decor but love that it's very authentic and stick to true "boba tea flavors". I got a taro milk tea with basil seeds and it was SUPER delicious. The owner (I believe) was very nice. He came out to my table where I was waiting and handed me the drink himself instead of passing it over the counter, which was very polite and the types of service I look for when dining, but don't expect from a boba shop! I'll definitely be coming back here for sure! The prices were super affordable and I got my drink pretty quick! Some teens dropped in and hung out for a while as well. They came in with food from a different restaurant, played jenga, ate, and then ordered some boba and left. I thought it was cool they didn't pressure them on sitting down with food from outside, even when they didn't order right away. Shows great characteristics of the owners! Love it. We gotta make our places open and safe for teens.

Service is always friendly, very patient staff has explained the flavors to me more than once Consistent taste, fresh boba always. WiFi access, board games, tables are always clean, good lighting My drinks have always been ready in less than 3 minutes, so glad they opened up here.

BOBA ALERT! This is a courtesy notice for all those boba lovers in the local Windcrest area, and an even bigger shout out to the citizens of San Antonio. Teapioca has some pretty darn good boba if I do say so myself! Teapioca? But Where? I stopped by this shop on the way back from running errands for the week and I'll be honest, the parking lot situation in the general area is very spacious but also very beat up. It's placed conveniently along the way home, to the grocery store, or dessert after a meal at one of the limited restaurants in the area. The surrounding area has a lot of work left to be done, but Teapioca adds a curious sense of growth in the right direction. How 'bout the Indoors? Incredibly spacious, I mean numerous tables for many people to come, sit down, and enjoy a good time. Fresh walls of white, little plants for that pop of color adorning the table tops, this establishment is kept clean and neat! I noticed walking up to the counter that they have stacks of games inviting people to come and enjoy while back ground music plays. What did I get? I ordered the Black Milk Tea with Black Sugar Boba. My drink came out quick and the boba was fresh and warm! The sweetness of the boba mixed with the brisk, bold flavors of the black tea, there is almost like... a harmony of flavors that made drinking this quite satisfying. Every visit following has had this as my go-to refresher. Each time I can confidently say there has been no hints of powder or inconsistencies which is why I find this place so reliable. If you find yourself hungry and looking to snack, they do offer a banh mi choice so I would say have at it! I'm excited to see this menu potentially grow in the future! On a side note, if you would like your drink a different level of sweetness, just ask and see what they can do because it's not a direct option on the menu. The People? The two cashiers there were very helpful, friendly and informed me of their stamp card system. The woman in the back works very hard and continuously produces smooth, great tasting drinks. The crowds I've seen have varied, ranging from teens to older couples and I think that is a great indicator of what other people see here. Overall Thoughts Teapioca is a tasty boba shop with consistently flavorful drinks. It has been difficult to find reliable shops around town so if you're in the area, I would give this place a try! ------------------- Update! They do have a bathroom! Rockin' man, just rockin'!

A must try!! The black milk tea with black sugar boba is easily THE best boba tea I've ever tasted. You can actually taste the tea. I love that they have oat milk as an option. Quality fresh ingredients, and the service is always friendly and spot on. This has become my favorite place for bubble tea in San Antonio.

Really nice and trendy location. Saw this place was opening this week on instagram and I had to stop by to get Thai tea. It was really good, one of the best I've had. So good I forgot to take a picture before I finished it I will be back for more!!

Just tried this place out, I was very impressed given that it just opened. The interiors are so clean and welcoming, the staff although there is some lack of english are very friendly. My friend got a milk tea with boba and I the honey brewed tea. Both were delicious. I had a sip of my friend's milk tea and it was just the right amount of creaminess I have always wanted. The boba was slightly chewier than I am used to but it was probably better than my standards. Honestly BEST MILK TEA IN S.A., my honey brewed tea was just as expected, slightly sweet yet smooth and refreshing. I will definitely come back

    Anthony Q.

There drinks are great with a fair price, nice vibe, chill staff recommend if you're down to have good time to listen to music or play one of the many bored games they have.

I noticed the barista using spoons for drinks that were previously in what appeared to look like dirty water from my view (literally a brown color). I ordered the balsamic avocado toast and unfortunately it came with a tiny brown looking bug. I immediately threw away my food. I should have left as soon as I noticed the signs of uncleanliness behind the counter. I would not recommend this place to anyone . We went in for a snack: Peanut butter banana toast, a matcha cookie, and banana bread. Off to a rough start because as soon as we walked in we weren't even acknowledged and waited at the counter for over 5 minutes just to have our order taken. Normally this is fine! People are busy, I get it. No acknowledgment of us whatsoever though. When we order the matcha cookie it rings as $6!!! instead of the $4 the sign that is in the case right there.... We actually had to ask to get it corrected which was crazy, your price was wrong but also who charges $6 for a single medium sized cookie. The employee tried treating us like we were stupid. She let us know it would be a wait for the toast, which is fine- it is genuinely just one person here with a reasonably crowded shop. We had 3-4 groups of people order AFTER us at least three orders of avocado toast. All of their orders got completely finished, presented on a plate and brought to the table etc. And then we finally got the Peanut Butter Banana Toast after 20+ minutes (I wish I was exaggerating) in a box thrown on the counter and called us to pick it up. And to top it off the toast was burnt to the point of being as hard as a crouton. To the point we THREW IT AWAY. 20 minutes for an inedible piece of toast. The employee was rude, the food was horrid, I am so upset to have even spent my money here. I want to support local places so bad but this was just abysmal. It almost feels like the bad food and service was because we complained and we got targeted because everyone else was treated fine. I have have worked at both coffee shops and restaurants and cannot even dream of treating people like this. We will not be back. Do not waste your money, there are better options.

Cool, they're overdue for an updated review. The weather was much nicer the last time I was here, and the service was much, much better than I remember. I had asked if they had pup cups and the barista said she didn't think they had whipped cream, but then excitedly corrected herself. Score! While I didn't see a cortado on the menu, I asked if they could make me one (with an enthusiastic yes!). I also ordered an iced oatchata and a donut, and we then sat outside in the patio. Bucky made friends with everyone in the area. The cortado was very pleasant. It had that "paper cup" taste as most cortados will when served in one, but it was still pretty good. Mild and smooth, and not terribly hot, too. The oatchata was a delight. Super refreshing, and the donut was also great. Bucky also gives 5 stars to the pup cup, to the point where he also ate the cup. They still have a very charming and relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend when the weather isn't brutal.
