    Kimchi Kogi Fries
    Michelle H.

Not sure if this is a Zero Degrees remake, but their food and drink menu are similar. This was my first time ordering at "The Nest Boba." They have a good selection of fruit teas, milk teas, slushies, smoothies, and other sugary concoctions---- as well as food/snacks, including fries, wings, garlic noodles, tacos. Got the Kimchi Kogi Fries and the classic milk tea (with boba). The portion on the fries was huge! Unfortunately, I can barely taste the kimchi with the sweet bulgogi beef (and whatever sauce they used). The kimchi itself was not spicy as indicated on the menu, nor it was the usual red color. It was white, which I thought was odd. Maybe they were stingy on the gochugaru sauce. Anyways, although I was not happy with the items I got, I want to try more of their drinks and the garlic noodle dish.

Stopped by The Nest after shopping nearby. We didn't feel like driving home in traffic hour without grabbing a bite to eat first so came in for a small meal. I actually wanted Korean food next door, but didn't feel like we needed the huge portions or leftovers before Thanksgiving. So The Nest's food options hit the spot without breaking the bank. We ordered the ramen which is just a Shin ramen with some kimchi, melted cheese and hot dogs in it. It's not bad, the kind of comfort food I make at home for $8. But well worth it to have some warm soup while out of the house. The carne asada fries were too salty for my liking. It's a shame it doesn't come with avocados or sour cream to balance the saltiness of the fries, meat and cheese. Maybe if they added more crema or an aioli at least? Overall the place is pretty lowkey, they have some board games and a few arcade games. Not a bad place to grab a snack or food after shopping with kids. Also that they love KPop here and they have a few decorations and have some sort of event coming up in line with the Kiss of Life concert on Friday. A good place to check out if you like Korean food, snacks and boba.

Nice little boba and snack shop. We saw they had Croffles and we were very excited! Didn't think we would find them since we left Virginia. The inside is simple set up. But they do have a couple old fashion video games for customers to play plus a handful of board games if you decide to relax and stay cool for a bit. Their menu is wide- Korean fried wings, garlic noodles, fried shrimp , kimchi fries and more. The list of Boba teas is pretty good. Milk teas and fruit teas plus milkshakes. Prices are very reasonable. For the Bowl of Hot CHEETOH corn it was only $8. Very large portion. Staff was friendly enough. We would most likely go back again- if in the area and mood for Boba

Okay place to study but it's a little loud. Boba isn't great and the food is also very mid. Saving grace of this place is the super sweet and friendly girl working the front. She greeted us multiple times and communicated well. The fries are solid and I actually liked the buffalo wings... didn't have the crazy red color and was very very tangy and different. Garlic noodles were terrible and the bulgogi was eve worse somehow

Loved the trinket trade they hosted! I finally got a sunny angel!!! My boba was great the boba itself was very tender.

Excellent service and drinks. I really appreciated the cashier's kind, welcoming attitude. She did everything right! I even added some food afterward because she was so nice to. My husband wanted a taro, and I wanted a tiger, and we got it! Great smooth taste, and the Boba was cooked just right and tasted great. I took a few pictures because the ambiance and store is so cozy looking. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation I had with the cashier and I will be back! Thank you for the awesome food!

Got to try the Nest Boba in my last day in San Antonio/Castle Hills and what stood out to me when seeing this spot online is how nice the interior is. It's one of the larger spaces I've seen at a boba shop and there is plenty of seats to sit down and hang out with friends. They have board games lying around also. Service is pretty friendly as well. Mainly what made the experience just okay for me is the drinks and food not being up to par with those other positives of this store. I ordered: - Matcha Horchata with Boba ($6.75 total) - Lemon Pepper Crispy Chicken Wings ($11) Matcha with Horchata seemed too interesting and unique to not try and it tasted how I expected. It really did taste like an Horchata with a hint of matcha. The matcha wasn't strong, but it was still good. I wasn't asked about sweetness or ice adjustments and I didn't notice that being displayed on their menu either. So I got regular everything. The boba wasn't chewy enough for me personally and it felt like they were sitting for a bit because they had a tougher texture. The drink itself is good without the boba to me personally. The Lemon Pepper Crispy Chicken Wings were more like Lemon Lemon Lemon and a little bit of Pepper Wings because wow that lemon flavor was too intense. You couldn't really taste much else flavor because the wings were just sour and the lemon was overpowering. I prefer more of a balance with my lemon pepper wings. They were fried pretty well and there was a nice crispy plus it was juicy inside. I just think it was overseasoned for my taste and usually I love lemon pepper wings from most places. This place is more like a 3.5 rating for me and I think it is worth giving a shot again in the future because they have drinks that other boba shops don't do all the time.

Nice and easy transaction for boba. Went there for lunchtime refreshment, and found the place to be empty. It made for a quick in and out. I was greeted by the staff member and she patiently took my order for a boba flavor that wasn't on the board She made a delicious matcha horchata boba. The boba order came out faster than I planned, and I left. I did manage to start a free game of the classic NBA Jam, but I took my order and went on to the next one. I will say that because of the other eateries and reserved parking spots for the surrounding businesses, parking was stingy. I got lucky and found a spot opposite the location. Ambience at lunch was ghost towny...which could be good if you're in a hurry or bring your own party. Or, it could be lonely. Of course, there's always NBA Jam. I found the boba-logists to be quite competent. I would try other flavors too.

This spot gets a 3.5 stars from me, but I'm rounding down because the drink I got still was a bit powdery/grainy. I made a custom drink, taro with green tea, creamer, and boba, with less ice and no sweetness. The taste of the drink was perfect, but the taro powder wasn't completely mixed/shaken. I also wasn't a huge fan of the strong fried/food smell in the store. It seemed like there wasn't enough ventilation/fans inside because it was also a bit on the warmer side temperature-wise. If I'm in the area again, I do wanna try another one of their drinks to give it a second shot.

The tiger sugar milk tea with oat milk was yummy! However, I was not a fan of the carne asada fries; too much sauce and not enough carne asada. 3.5/5!

FIRST TIME VISIT! I love boba and always in search of the next best place. Had never heard of this place until Yelp dangled The Nest in front of me like a carrot. How was I to resist?! THE LOCATION: in a small shopping center (with some other businesses I will want to return to check out). Parking was easy, at least at the hour I arrived. THE AMBIENCE: I was so pleasantly surprised at how cute this place is! The aesthetics, from logo to dining room decor, the owners have really branded themselves nicely as a contemporary gathering place for small groups (or solo) to enjoy a drink and snack to go or to dine-in like we decided to do today. Love the greenery wall and that they use tropical flowers like Anthurium. This Hawaiian girl approves! THE MENU: has something sweet, savory, colorful and something guaranteed to be totally new to your palate. I'd even go as far as say I believe there is something for everyone. A dessert case yielded sweet treats like French macarons. I ordered some Korean fried chicken wings and asked for a side of rice to make it a meal. The owner came out and gave me the rice for free. How awesome! I guess they hadn't added that to the menu just yet and the cashier was trying to figure out a charge and came up with $4 for the side. I would've happily paid it, but content with the intervention nonetheless. Thank you, sir! THE FOOD: This Korean fried chicken dish is so good with rice!!! Now, I was expecting spicy, I mean, since they labeled it "Korean"... what's a girl to hope for but chili? The wings were delicious, but if I had to guess, it is tossed in a honey-sesame flavored sauce. Loved the fresh, crispness of those chicken pieces. You gotta try them! Come check this place out and try those wings! Bring a pal that you've been wanting to catch up with and spend an hour or two lounging in a relaxing space with a tasty menu at your disposal. Oh! And play that mini arcade game and get your initials in the top 5. I dare you!

Just visited this place for the second time. The first time was during Yelp elite Week and I was blown away. So much so that I brought 2 friends with me this time bc I wanted them to experience the food and great service we had the first time but was so embarrassed that it was far from that. All of our food took 40 minutes to come out. With the 2 girls working in the front, you'd think they'd realize this was unacceptable and either let us know what's going on or give a nudge to the kitchen. We were literally the only People in here. The biggest disappointment was that the food tasted NOTHING like our first visit. I was so embarrassed that my friends that I brought didnt like their food at all. And mine wasn't that great either. I guess when you come here, you won't get consistency. Unfortunate. Highly doubt I'd drive across town for this place ever again.

I had a very busy week and I finally had the time to make it out to The Nest. I went on Friday evening, around 6:30. There weren't many people there so there was no wait. The shop is clean and cutely decorated with plants in geometric planters on the walls. Tres chic! The guy who checked me in was very friendly and explained what I'd be getting: an Ube milk tea and a cinnamon toast croffle. I also bought a small cup of elote to balance out all the sweetness. I loved what a melting pot this place is. They sell Mexican corn in a cup, Korean dishes, Japanese dishes, and little French macarons! The corn was yummy. The Ube drink was fantastic, with the boba having that perfect QQ texture. But the croffle?! Amazing. Crispy on the outside. Fluffy on the inside. Sweet and sugary. Definitely a fun little evening treat. I wanted to get something to go, and also a croffle for my neighbor since she was kind enough to watch my dog while I went out. She also loved it! I wanted the Ube cheesecake, but was told they don't have that anymore, so I got the Ube truffle. So good. The Nest is actually very close to my dentist's office, so I can see myself visiting here after my appointments!

Artea is a pretty decent chain with a wide variety of loose-leaf teas, milk teas & lattes, frozen milk teas/drinks, and a huge selection of specialty drinks such as "cucumber lychee bliss", "strawberry lychee lime green tea," or "mango coconut paradise." They also have a big selection of toppings. I love how they have basil seeds and red bean (2 of my favs). I'm pretty picky about my milk teas, but Artea's has been consistent and not watered down like most. Their food menu, although is quite pricey on some items, are pretty tasty. We tried the $24 ribeye steak fried rice and was pretty happy with it. The bento boxes are a bargain. Parm garlic aioli fries were good. Tonkatsu ramen was with "udon" like noodles, which was different. Lots of finger foods/appetizers to enjoy with your boba. They have a small dessert selection (fried oreos & matcha ice cream). I would say it's one of the better boba joints in San Antonio. My only complaint is that they run out of items on a regular basis--happens more often than I would like--ex: wintermelon milk tea (which is hard to get nowadays, unless you go to KFT).

This is not our regular go-to Tealicious location but last Friday night since we were around the area after our errands at HEB, we decided to visit. We've been here several times before and I thought perhaps it was just an isolated incident. I let my emotions die down too that's why I waited this long. Just bought four drinks from our regular neighborhood Tealicious on Potranco near 1604 and just can't help finally posting this objective review. Back to the Tealicious by HEB Bandera experience, they are totally consistent...consistently providing a horrible customer service experience. The young lady in the cash register was simply impersonal, dull, and snobbish. Again, we thought this was isolated but on all those several instances we visited this location, we have exactly the same sub par customer service experience. This afternoon visit at Tealicious on Potranco, I asked the young lady if the owners are the same on both locations, she verified it not the same. The staff at the Bandera location needs to learn from these excellent staff members at Potranco. No matter what time of day, or day of the week and no matter who's tending the store, the customer service at Tealicious Potranco is consistently stellar.
