We were looking for a cold drink while driving and I remembered this small Boba shop and we were not disappointed. We walked in and the place was small and clean and smelled good. I also had to use the restroom which was pretty spotless, I was impressed! We walked up to the counter and were greeted right away, we had a few questions and they were answered right away, so we made our order. We took a seat at one of the tables which were nice and clean and checked out the TV while waiting. As we waited the place filled with people there was probably 20 people in that small space! It took about 15 minutes to receive our drinks but it was well worth the wait. I got the Mornin' dew which had a light taste of honeydew and semi sweet, perfect for me! The tea was brewed fresh which is awesome but I would suggest you request extra ice if you want it colder (the ice melted so quick). Found this place by accident while we were leaving a nearby restaurant. We decided to give it a try, it's a small place and they have a few tables and there are some games that people can use. Not many honest people in this world, but here is a true story! The owner of this boba drink cafe completely wowed me! My kids love this stuff and beg me to take them here for a treat, they even pay for their own drinks! 13 and 8 years old! So, I finally give in last weekend. We walk in and there was three people in line. he waves at us as if he actually knows us, then asks if we lost a wallet! ?! No, well my son did, but... then he holds it up! I'm in shock! We may have been in three maybe four times in two years. He said he had been looking for us and tried to call the business card that was inside the wallet. Seriously!!! My 8yr old had a dollar maybe two in his wallet! The owner held on to it all this time! It had to have been since July! The bubba drinks are fantastic! Coffee is even better in my opinion but that's because I can't have sugar! Finally met Alex, the owner, although we have seen him around a few times. This is my most frequented Boba place. I cannot necessarily say because it is my favorite but because I do not usually go out of my way to find one. I go here because I am a bibliophile and the next door Nine Lives Bookstore is a regular afternoon for me. I understand that process are high these days in general, but I still have to say I wish they would do more specials or something because I find $5 drinks pretty high (when you want something even a little more than the basics). The art than adorns the walls is always nice to see. Bulbasaur has been here since day one for me, so I was tempted to buy it (some art is for sale), but Alex informed me it was not for sale, since it was a gift. That saddens me but also makes me glad that a familiar face will always be here. Maybe wish there were more games here or live music acts? The drinks are good, customer service is great, but prices are not stellar and I do not feel like there is much reason to stay around. He said there would be a wait time and we understood because he had a little line already. He made sure everyone got their order taken and letting them know a wait time before. First off, I've been to many places that serves boba tea (I'm from Sugar Land/Houston). My husband and I visited this spot for the first time today. When we first walked in I noticed how dingy the place looked, behind the cash register- counters and floor were grimy and layered with dirt. The flavors are all artificial- powders/syrups, no fresh anything. (Containers holding the flavors were old, and dirty as well) After tasting the drinks- very watery, too sweet, the tapioca seemed a couple of days old and the drink left a very bad after taste. Not to mention the service- the girl serving us seriously stopped making our drinks to answer a personal call. Smh, so unprofessional. This place needs an update, face lift and should try making the drinks with fresh fruit w/ fresh tapioca. read more

After checking out Nine Lives Bookstore next door, I decided to pop into Bobalicious. I told the guy behind the counter that it was my first time ever stopping in and he was so super friendly. He recommended the San Antonian which is an interesting strawberry and avocado concoction. When he first told me what was in it, I'll admit I was skeptical, but he assured me that it was their top seller and that the avocado only lent a smooth, creamy texture to the drink. I figured, what the hell. So, the drink was definitely interesting. The tapioca balls were plentiful and were almost too much. There was a tapioca ball in every sip. I liked the drink okay, but it was a bit on the pricey side for what I basically can sum up as a smoothie with chewy tapioca balls in it. Cool atmosphere here, nice artwork and couches, really sweet employees. I'm not sure if or when I'll be back because it's far from where I live, but worth a try. read more
