It started right, they rushed out for some sprinkler work and I asked about replacing my 18yr old fence. I got an estimate a little higher than the next closest so seemed inline, plus the quote had a little more detail. This was all preCOVID. After my deposit, they cancelled. starting multiple times, were consistently late and new excuses each time. We were 6 mo. In with more cancelations and some rain issues, but wouldn't have been if they honored earlier commitments. When the owner personally showed, he did work hard but I even had to mention after demo ended and they were mostly done, they left a batch of crap in the backyard that I had to ask several times to clean up. Cancelations got worse near the last 25% but then they convinced my wife to pay balance doe to personal financial challenges. After that everything was a struggle. More cancels and I complained about no caps on posts, no cement in post holes, missing boards, aesthetic issues,, gate issues and other stuff to drag to about a year for my fence. They wear you down with missed promises and I finally gave up. Now less than 2yrs old, I am having to hire another fence contractor to fix it. Don't get suckered like me.

After showing him what I needed removed, he told me he didn't have his small stump grinder with him. When I made the appointment with him by phone several weeks ago I told him that this job specifically required his small stump grinder and that was why I was contacting him. I reminded him of this conversation when he was at my house and he didn't even apologize! John also quoted me $650 for 15 stumps. He also told me he would charge extra taxes if I paid by check instead of cash. One of the stumps was in a flower bed. John said I would need to move the flowers out of there so he could get to it. I scheduled an appointment with him to come back in 2 weeks and started doing some more phone calling and am sooo glad I did! I found another service that ended up coming out today with their small grinder. They only charged me $375 and got it all taken care of same day. They removed all the flowers for me in my front flower bed and even re-potted the flowers for me. They also let me pay by check and did not charge extra for it. They did a superb job. I high recommend them for all your small pesky stump grinding needs and will happily pass along their information to anyone who asks me for it.
